editor’s note I keep seeing memes pop up on social media claiming it’s only so many weeks till Christmas. I can’t help but wonder if the people creating said memes do so out of joy for the impending holiday season, or in glee for the ominous loom it brings to some. Or a little of both? As a lover of all things Christmassy, I am thoroughly looking forward to the time for gathering of kinfolk, the exchanging of presents, the eating of the delicious morsels... The most delectable of which in my family comes about on Boxing Day early evening when we all sit down with mini Yorkshire puddings and Pimms and watch the Doctor Who Christmas special. It may be the only time throughout the year that I willingly watch the show, but it’s a tradition I absolutely adore. The other tradition I have upheld for the past few years is to purchase some of my Christmas gifts for my family from the Destiny Rescue jewellery line. I love to support this beyond worthy cause all year round, and at Christmas I feel it’s particularly important to show some less fortunate part of the world that amidst all our privileged celebrations, we’ve taken a moment to send them some love. I know it’s early, but apparently it’s only eight Fridays till Christmas, so I’m going to wish you and your families a very safe and happy holiday season from The Bride’s Tree Team.

2009 & 2010 ABIA Finalist

Edgy with an innately organic feel, our styled inspiration shoot is set amongst rolling hills and greenery in absolute privacy. Under a clear marquee, the team created a dream wedding for that grounded modern bride. Nature meets sophistication with selective style and deliberate detail.

Fresh as a daisy, a classic white bouquet with a modern edge in this perfectly imperfect structure of Canterbury Bells, White Ranunculus, White Freesias, Icebreaker Roses, Jasmine flower, ferns, Privet Berry and Rosemary.

Shaanti wears the ‘Surma’ gown by Israeli designer, Limor Rosen. This unique, long-sleeved gown features intricate lace with handbeaded neckline and a fitted draping silhouette.

Today’s bride is all about glowing dewy skin. The Beauty Case played up Shaanti’s dark features with highlight and earthy bronze tones with just a hint of tint on her lips.

Jon is sleek and sophisticated in all black for a striking formal look, styled by Suits Direct.

Under the clear marquee, our reception space is designed for casual comfort with the upmost in style and sophistication, marrying (‘scuse the pun) natural timber with mixed metals, decadent velvet with fresh floral arrangements in classic white.

Edgy meets earthy opulence with the use of velvet lounges in charcoal and sweet olive, ottomans, and bronze metal martini side table from CL Weddings & Events. The darker elements are illuminated by the festoon lighting and black rattan pendants.

This spectacular floral wall hanging is nothing less than pure artistic expression by florist, Willow Bud, featuring Blossom branches, Bridal Bloom, Magnolia, and trailing Jasmine with Black Privet, and more.

Lily’s soft feminine makeup is designed to complement her milky white complexion, and her features enhanced using gold and peach tones. Her glamorous waves were brushed out to create softness and a slight finger wave movement. Charlotte’s textured French roll hairstyle allows her amazing bone structure to steal the focus, and her natural makeup design is soft and feminine in tones of blues and nudes.

Charlotte ups the drama with shimmering jewel-toned blues, which bring out her intense dark features. Her hair gently frames the face and when she turns the surprising detail of the voluminous fishtail braid has a big impact.

Lily looks like an absolute angel, so a textured wrap-around braid is perfect, creating a halo effect at the front and working into a soft weave at the nape of the neck. Her eyes are intensified using golden bronze tones.
