Linda Carter Resigns The awards banquet will be a great time to hand over the reigns. Yes folks, after 4 long years of service, I am resigning as President of the ACW. I would like to thank all of you who played, gave donations, were sponsors, or were room owners, or just came to watch. I am entrusting the future of the ACW into Vic Valdez s capable hands. Vic comes to us with a strong background in Marketing and will take the ACW to a whole new level. Please give Vic all the support you can and help ease the transition. The current Board will serve until the end of the year, and Vic and his new team will start their duties in January. Depending on how the new Board regulates the selection of Board members, they may be taking nominations for Board positions, and voting in the best candidates. If you would like to be a part of the ACW s new future, and would like to serve on the Board, you can get in touch with Vic through email at vic@teleport.com. It has been a great ride and I want to thank each one of you for making it so. I want to spend more time with my family and pursue other billiard related goals. You can be sure that I will never stop trying to serve pool players, and trying to get billiards recognized as a viable sport and profession. I will be serving on another Board on an association that will be holding huge tournaments for both men and women right here in the NW. Again, I hope you will support me in that endeavor by coming out and playing.
