When compared to 2016, the number of land sales transactions in 2017 increased from 62 to 109 which equates to a 76% increase. This segment of our market has been the last to rebuild with approximately a 40% increase in average price when comparing 2016 to 2017. Big Sky’s average single family home price continued an uptrend with price increasing 4% over last year and at the same time condominium average sales prices increased almost 7%. One reason for the increase on both single family homes and condominiums was the lack of inventory and strong demand. Interesting to note that both single family and condominium average sales prices have increased over 50% in the past 5 years.

Gallatin Canyon Gallatin Canyon is the largest real estate area in the Greater Big Sky market, yet has limited availability.
