Rock On - Introducing the Hyla Dewitt Jewelry Collection "Everybody Must Get Stoned" with a striking piece from Hyla Dewitt who has just debut her signature line of jewelry to the Triangle at Charlotte's. Hyla Dewitt is a local jewelry designer on the fast track. Already featured in Southern Living and Charleston Magazine, her line was also showcased at the Birmingham Sex in the City II Premier Party. Hyla mixes multihued (some unusually cut) gemstones and beads for a look that balances edgy elegance with natural beauty. The customizable pieces look great layered or as standalone statements. Hyla Dewitt jewelry has already stormed Charleston, SC (her hometown). But Raleigh is now the new home to this designer and TheBeltlineBuzz is happy to be the first to announce this up-andcoming jewelry line. A year from now we'll be saying "Hyla, we knew you when ..." Dewitt's passion for jewelry began at the young age of 15. While traveling in South America and visiting family in Peru, Hyla would find gemstones during her travels and created designs for them. Making gifts for friends and family unexpectedly developed a fan base in the Charleston community. The popularity soon shifted her hobby into a full time career. What sets her apart? ... The creating of bold and unique statements. Every time Hyla designs a piece, she tries to make it better than the last which keeps it exciting for her and keeps her buyers coming back for more. The inspiration of her designs, come from the colors and shapes of the gemstones themselves. She also gets inspiration from history and different cultures. She enjoys mixing unexpected colors or structures and making them into unique designs. Her gemstones are purchased from India, Thailand and sometimes from travels to Peru when visiting family. Hyla and her fiancĂŠ love calling Raleigh home. They plan to be here for a very long time! You can find Hyla Dewitt's Jewelry in the Raleigh area at Charlotte's in North Hills and Cameron Village. You can also make an appointment with her to see the pieces at her studio, located in the Park and Market Apartments in North Hills. To view all designs please go to It rocks! 2/8/2011

TheBeltlineBuzz items are selected by our editors. No one can pay to be featured on TheBeltlineBuzz. That's what advertising is for, and it's always labeled as such. Selling ourselves (literally) would destroy the legitimacy, integrity, and fun of TheBeltlineBuzz. Plus, we'd never earn your trust that way. So we'll never make a dime off your meal at a restaurant nor a penny from the sale of the latest accessory we told you about. That said, on occasion, we will send out "Dedicated" e-mails on behalf of sponsors. You'll recognize them from the subject line: "TheBeltlineBuzz Dedicated E-mail." Yes, these are paid for. And, no, we would never sell our subscriber list to anyone. Not for any amount of money. 2/8/2011
