It’s time to register for Hard Rock Rising Battle of the Bands Hard Rock International is giving away the gift of stardom to any band who finds themselves on top of the Hard Rock Rising competition in their second year of partnership with ReverbNation. After battling it out locally, 25 bands worldwide will compete on Facebook. The grand prize winner will play in a world tour in Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, Chicago and Honolulu, arranged by Hard Rock International; record an album with Hard Rock Records; shoot a music video; and receive new music equipment and gear valued at $10,000. Two runner-up bands will each receive new music equipment and gear valued at $10,000.

Hair Salon Semara Spa’s Hair Salon is introducing their new hairdresser, Angie. Trained in Melbourne, Australia in hairdressing and specialist make-up, Angie’s love for hair and make-up goes back to 2002 when she began working part-time until she finished her secondary school and began her apprenticeship. During her time studying, she also set up a business which involved freelance hair and make-up services for weddings, children’s parties and school productions. She has been participating in numerous hairdressing competitions and clinched several awards too. Angie decided to move to Bali to pursue her dream of making Bali folks look fabulous.

My eco defender Valentine This Valentines day, why not bring that special someone to a charity event like the Eco Defender Movie Night at Wisnu Open Space. There are no tickets to be purchased; nonetheless, a minimum donation of 25k is expected to be donated at the door. All the proceeds will go to Walhi Bali, Bali’s independent environmental watch organization. The screening is cordially offered by the director of the movie Rumah di Seribu Ombak (House in Thousands of Waves), Erwin Arnada.There will be book signing by the writer/director and some cast members.
