Location
The Intercontinental Bali Resort is located in a prestigious neighborhood on the islands southern coastline. It overlooks the tranquil waters of Jimbaran Bay and has an endless stretch of white sandy beach that also offers a mesmerizing sunset. The resort is positioned between the peaceful town of Nusa Dua and the vibrant playground of Kuta, it is also only a 10minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Look
The hotel definitely has a wow factor, it is really a spectacular sight when you walk in through the front entrance over to the pool area. The hotel is so big that they offer a mini resort inside the resort for exclusive guests called Club Intercontinental. When you stay at the Intercontinental you do feel like you are on a tropical island, due to the fact that there are palm trees everywhere and that you can see the big white sandy beach right in front. The resort was designed with sensitivity towards the surrounding environment and pays respect to Bali’s rich culture, fine artistry and Hindu heritage by leaving up all the temples and sanctuaries.
Atmosphere
The whole resort is a mix of rustic Balinese statues and bridges from when it first began mixed with all the new renovations that they have done over the last 20 years. It is a strange but refreshing view; walking on an ancient moldy bridge to step off onto one of the most luxurious pool areas on the island which includes six different pools and a Mediterranean restaurant

in the middle of the pool. The rooms have also been renovated with the rest of the resort and are Balinese inspired rooms that showcase the island’s artistic legacy but at the same offer everything you would expect whilst staying at a five star hotel.
