he Stand Up Challenge show is part of Leicester Business Festival and is supported by Leicester Castle Business School at De Montfort University. Being held at The Kube at Leicester Racecourse on Wednesday 2nd November the show will see 12 brave contestants take to the stage to perform their first ever 5 minutes of stand-up comedy. The contestants are all being supported by their colleagues, friends, clients and family to raise as much money as possible for local registered charity, Big Difference Company. All proceeds from the night will support the work of this local charity. The charity runs the annual Leicester Comedy Festival but also works throughout the year, using comedy and humour to improve health and wellbeing of people across the Midlands and the UK. Recent projects have focused on issues such as promoting the identification of the early signs and symptoms of cancer and the benefits of exercise for people suffering from arthritis, as well as projects working with older people, children and young people. The fearless participants will soon begin to work with professional comedian Anthony King, to write and rehearse their comedy routine. To show you support for the participants you can sponsor them online at www.standupchallenge.co.uk/participants2016.html The event is the perfect opportunity to treat your staff, clients and customers to a vibrant and unique networking event.
