Hello! Welcome to the first ever edition of The Back Pages, London's brand new 100% FREE alternative music listings magazine. It doesn't matter whether you like hip hop, folk, thrash metal, disco or minimal techno. If a gig or club night could appeal to music lovers then we'll list it. This month we have an exclusive interview with one of the most unique and exciting bands of the last twenty years - Melt-Banana. The incomparable Iggy Pop, with his latest collaborator, Josh Homme, features on our front cover. They'll be playing the Royal Albert Hall on the 13th. If you can't make it then our Iggy Pop mini-playlist is unlikely to provide any comfort at all. If anything it'll make things worse. May features not one, but two bank holiday weekends. As a result, enterprising promoters have laid on a smorgasbord of exciting dance music. Fatboy Slim, Ritchie Hawtin and all manner of other enormous names will play along with innovative DJs from every conceivable genre.
