The Theatre Royal is an accessible venue with ramp access, loop induction, wheelchair seats and adapted toilets. A refund can be made no later than close of business, 4pm, on the day before the event. A refund will be made in the form of credit for Theatre Royal events. No refund can be issued on the day of the event or following an event.

Why not relax and enjoy a pre-show drink. Select wines, soft drinks, bottled beers, tea and coffee are available an hour before performance. Pre-order your interval drink before the performance. Our Front of House team will be on stand-by to take your order.


During a Session, the Stage Door Bar will remain open until 8pm; theatre customers have the option to bring Stage Door Bar purchased beverages into the auditorium with them and enjoy from the comfort of their seat. The Stage Door Bar will reopen at the interval. Events that are deemed a session are clearly marked throughout our season brochure and website with the above icon.

On the deck of a deluxe mobile home a group of friends gather for a week-long party full of cocktail-infused debauchery, bad dancing and questionable gender politics.As the celebrations continue, two couples emerge. Claudio and Hero fall deeply and madly in love, while Benedick and Beatrice resume their altogether more quarrelsome romance. Much Ado About Nothing charts the course of these two star-crossed courtships as malicious rumour and pointed lies threaten to tear them both apart. This festive production of deception and excess, sparkling wit and linguistic exuberance asks: can we ever truly know the people we love? A perfect evening for a theatre loving audience.

Waterford Panto Society presents a Forest Load Of Fun in the Theatre Royal this December with their production of ‘Robin Hood And The Babes In The Wood’. Featuring all the spectacular lighting, costumes and scenery you have come to expect as well as a full live band, up to date pop numbers and guaranteed family fun - this is one show you will not want to miss this Christmas season.
