Forget Harry Potter, Dónal is the real wizard, showing you how to put skewers through balloons without popping, create your very own volcano, set paper on fire without burning it, turn water upside-down without spilling it and make a cola bottle exploding fountain. Learn about magnetism, pressures, force, chemical reactions, the fire triangle, static electricity and laugh your pants off while you do it. And the best part??? You can do all the tricks at home using household items. You too can become a science wizard.

SHOUT! The Mod Musical

Date: Time: Price:

Saturday 26th May 8pm €25/€20

A nostalgic nod to London’s Swinging Sixties. The musical follows five young female subscribers to a fictional magazine called Shout!, “the magazine for the modern woman”, as they come of age during the liberating 1960s that made England swing. From cover to cover, Shout! unfolds like a musical magazine and travels in time through the decade, chronicling the dawn of liberation of women. Just as Dusty Springfield, Petula Clark, Cilla Black and Lulu were independent women with major careers, English (and indeed Irish!) women were redefining themselves in the face of changing attitudes about women.

The sacred stone of knowledge is safeguarded by the Golden Sprite with some help from the flower fairies, until some mischievous elves decide that this pretty ‘crystal’ would make a perfect toy! As they play, the stone’s magical force dwindles, leaving it weak and vulnerable to corruption...... Fortunately, disaster is averted; those who would exploit the stone’s potential are defeated and its mystical powers are restored. Don’t miss this exciting and colourful show, performed by the talented dancers of Waterford Ballet Academy. Choreographed by Margaret Hunter.
