CINDY ROSS (Rona Lisa Peretti) Cindy is ecstatic to return to the Theatre 29 stage following a two-year hiatus. Her most recent performances include “Camelot,” “Grease,” and “Big River.” Other favorite roles have been Audrey in “Little Shop Of Horrors,” principal dancer in “Jesus Christ Superstar,” and Adelaide in “Guys And Dolls.” In addition, Cindy has done 3 shows at the High Desert Playhouse in Joshua Tree along with some minor film roles. She dedicates this performance to her new daughter, Grace, and to her husband, the best new daddy ever!

MARV SCHMELLING (Douglas Panch) With over 30 years as a professional musician, Marv's career has taken him from casinos in New Jersey, Las Vegas and Laughlin to Walt Disney World and numerous television and radio performances. Marv is also proud to have performed in Theatre 29's GREASE, CAMELOT, NUNSENSATIONS, THE DINOSAUR MUSICAL and WALMARTOPIA. He truly enjoys performing with his daughters Lauren and Lizzie, and would like to thank Kathy and crew for this opportunity.

CHRIS FLEISCHMAN (Chip Tolentino) Chris grew up in the high desert and graduated with Salutatorian Honors from Yucca Valley High School in 2006. He continued his education at UCLA where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Creative Writing (Poetry) and a minor in theater. His favorite past roles include John Proctor (The Crucible), Pseudolus (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum), and Benedict (Much Ado About Nothing).

LAUREN SCHMELLING (Logainne SchwartzandGrubinierre) This is Lauren’s seventh play at Theatre 29. You may have remembered her as Maia in “Walmartopia,” or Mindy in “The Dinosaur Musical.” Her other roles have included Cinderella in “Into The Woods Jr.” and Frenchy in “Grease.” Lauren loves to spend time with her family and friends. She also enjoys texting, sleeping and playing the guitar. Lauren would like to thank the director, cast and crew for this opportunity, as well as her family and friends for their support. Love you guys!

KURT SCHAUPPNER (Leaf Coneybear) Kurt is glad to be back at Theatre 29 after a successful stint writing, producing and directing “April” at Groves Cabin Theater. Incidentally, DVD’s of “April” can be purchased from Reach Out Morongo Basin. Call (760) 361-1410.

THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE – MEET THE CAST CHARLES HARVEY (William Barfee) has credits that extend from the sublime to the ridiculous. Amongst a wide body of technical and stage credits that span over twenty years in the Theatre, his personal favorites have been as Bottom in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM and Merlin/Mordred in CAMELOT at Hi-Desert Playhouse, Henry Jekyll/Edward Hyde in JEKYLL & HYDE, THE MUSICAL, Max Bialystock in THE PRODUCERS and King Arthur in CAMELOT at Theatre 29, Beadle Bamford in SWEENEY TODD at Palm Canyon Theatre and a member of the BIG SHOW LIVE! comedy troupe, Bundles & Cordell Hull in ANNIE and Snork in THE ELEPHANT MAN at College of the Desert, to name a very few. He is the Founder and Board President for the Desert Hot Springs Playhouse.

ADRIENNE GUERRERO (Marcy Park) Adrienne has been performing at Theatre 29 for the past four years. She has been bringing laughs and sighs in productions as varied as “Godspell,” “Big River,” “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” and this summer’s production of “The Pajama Game.” Adrienne hopes to continue to entertain through the well-written characters of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.”

TINKIE HESS (Marcy Park understudy) Tinkie has been participating in all types of theater activities, such as acting, singing, set development, ensemble roles, dance and has recently been working backstage as a “techie.” She is interested in all aspects of the theater and her heart most certainly came alive at Theatre 29. Hopefully their relationship will continue to grow. Tinkie reported that when she started this journey she was 10 and now is age 17, that in itself says it all.

ELODIE RAIN (Olive Ostrovsky) Elodie Rain is new to Theatre 29, but not to theater. Growing up in Salt Lake City, Utah, Elodie had the opportunity to perform in Cedar City’s internationally acclaimed Renaissance Festival. Elodie took first in her region and moved on to receive straight superior ratings at State Theatre Competitions. A proud member of the International Thespian Society, Elodie is delighted to have relocated to California and is ecstatic to play Olive!

FARAIMO FUIFUI (Mitch Mahoney) For J.R., being back on the Theatre 29 stage is like hanging out with friends. Last seen in “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” J.R. is eager to give the stage another go in this fun-filled and vocally challenging production. J.R. would like to thank his family and friends for their support and gives thanks to God with whom, he knows, nothing is impossible.
