The works of William Shakespeare are known, respected and performed all over the world. His stories have been used and recreated in countless productions and films including, most famously, the ill-fated story of Romeo and Juliet, also retold in the form of Leonard Bernstein’s musical West Side Story.

!

Filled with a cast of unforgettable characters, Twelfth Night combines cruelty with high comedy and the pangs of unrequited love with some of the subtlest poetry and most exquisite songs Shakespeare ever wrote. Shakespeare offers another new opportunity to the members of TACT, providing a learning platform for classic text as well as an appreciation of the work of ‘The Bard’. Building on the successes of recent productions, including TACT Newport’s production of The 39 Steps, we are excited to introduce a new element in the performance and learning of theatre.
