Welcome to the 45th annual Frontier Day Welcome to the 45th Annual Alvin Rotary Club Frontier Days! On behalf of the Alvin Rotary Club, we would like to welcome everyone to our 45th annual Frontier Day celebration! We have a wonderful festival scheduled this year which should provide loads of fun for the entire family. Starting with our carnival all the way through our arts and craft booths and car and bike show, Frontier Day truly has something for everyone. Our festival stretches over three days from Thursday, April 25, through Saturday, April 27. We will have a wonderful tradition coming back this year on Friday night the 26th as we will be hosting an old-fashioned Barn Dance. This will be taking place at Scopel Square, which is across the street from Stanton’s grocery store and the carnival. The event is free to the public. It will go from 6-10 p.m. with live music all night. American Idol contestant Colby Swift will be

playing from 6-7:30 and The Dave Ross band will be playing from 8-10 p.m. You will have a chance to hear great country music in a wonderful setting. Food can be purchased from Corey’s Kitchen as well as sodas and beer. Bring the kiddos, send them to the carnival and enjoy a wonderful night of dancing and fellowship. The grandstand during the annual Frontier Day parade, which starts at 9 a.m., will be set up in front of city hall for judging, and afterwards while you stroll down Sealy Street you can enjoy live music, arts and craft booths, kid’s games and delicious food. Come back to the grandstand for the awards from the parade at 11:30 a.m. The lucky winner of your choice of three fully loaded vehicles will be announced between 3 and 4 p.m. This year we are continuing our ever-popular downtown street location for our hundreds of arts and craft booths. Booths will be lined down Sealy Street all the way to the carnival at Hill

downtown area between the chamber of Commerce building and City Hall. There will be live music at both the car show in the park and in front of city hall, as well as food and drink vendors there to satisfy your appetite and quench your thirst. Everyone will want to head on over to the huge car and bike show in National Oak Park and reminisce about the “good ole days” where you can chat with some of the owners of these really unusual vehicles. This year, the entire park will be taken up by the car show, allowing great opportunities to view all the vehicles. Along with the car show, National Oak Park will be the site of our local Brittany Hawkins dance studio performers as well as Redeemed Cheer Academy to show their cheerleading spirit and skills. Bring your whole family and come enjoy the 2019 Frontier
