Up and Coming

AIM Director Tanya Van der Westhuizen AIM Director Tanya Van der Westhuizen of Randpark Ridge, South Africa, has earned quite a bit in the Dollars to Diamonds contest. She uses several methods to sign up new Members: giving testimonials when doing workshops, organizing charity events, sharing AIM articles and following up with clients and potential clients. She hasn’t been to Nashville, but it’s on her bucket list and she’d love to see and experience it. “I started with AIM last year (September 2015) and decided to do a charity talk for our church that reaches out to underprivileged children: ‘Food for Hungry Children.’ At this event we de cided to talk to women and empower them with knowledge of the hormonal system. That’s how and why I started—to give HOPE to people! I also began talking to friends and family and got them to use the products. “ Testimonials should not be construed as representing results that everyone can achieve.

The Dollars to Diamonds contest runs through December 31, 2016. You still have time to earn a prize package to Nashville! 4 I 1-800-456-2462

siness Builders AIM Director Vanessa Weitsz “I started using the AIM products in June 2015 and started the business in November that year. The business really began by itself as I had so many friends and family asking me about the products. They saw the difference it made to my health. I was diagnosed with a 4 cm mass brain tumor last year (May). After being on an alkaline diet for four months, I had a nine-hour radical surgery. The doctors had very little hope I’d ever be normal again. The diet (which in cluded the Garden Trio and other AIM products) caused my tumor to retract its blood vessels, which then consequently allowed for not one single nerve to be damaged during the surgery, as the tumor was removed almost effortlessly—flopping off the nerves. My recovery was remarkable. I’m 100 percent healthy today. Since then, I’ve helped so many people with health issues. That’s how my AIM business started.” “My methods are simple. I encourage people to sign up by informing them that they will always have friends and family who will also want to get on to the AIM products once they see the difference the products make. This will lead to sales, meaning more points for them on their AIM ID (membership), which means they will get their own products for less each month. I also explain the company efficiency when it comes to logistics. Orders are easy and effortless.”

Raw Food Series

Staying Healthy This Holiday Season by Leré Robinson, Star Sapphire Director and Nutrition Consultant

This month, Thanksgiving is celebrated in the USA. It is so easy to use festive seasons as an excuse to eat loads of unhealthy, decadent foods. Holidays are full of food challenges. Do you find yourself eating way too much mashed potatoes? Pumpkin pie? Do those precious pounds you managed to shed these past eleven months find you again? Well, healthy holiday eating is not as challenging as you think.

Tips to Keep It Clean and Stay Lean

Don't be afraid to experiment with food; some of the best recipes are created that way. As you prepare your cooked meals throughout this festive season, why not add a freshly stacked, mouthwatering raw salad?

Layered Festive Salad

Layer the following on a large platter: Fresh organic mixed greens, sliced baby tomatoes, diced red, yellow and orange bell peppers, cucumber, grated carrots, spring onions or red onions, freshly diced pineapple or ovenbaked butternut squash, raw sunflower seeds and a sprinkle of cranberries and pecans. Before serving, top it with freshly diced avocado and fresh lemon juice. Served with fresh vinaigrette, it really is delicious and bursting with live, raw enzymes!

Healthy Moves • Swap out heavy desserts for fresh fruit • • • • •

desserts. If you really want to indulge in a decadent dessert, share it with someone: only half the fat and calories. If eating a cheesecake or apple pie, try to avoid the pastry or crust as this is where the fat and carbs lurk. Swap out cream-based soups for brothbased veggie soups. Be active; we were born to move. It is a wonderful way to release toxins, manage weight and keep our skin glowing. Stay hydrated. Start your day with hot water, freshly squeezed lemon juice and zested ginger. Ginger is a natural decongestant and it contains potent anti-inflammatory compounds.

You may want to consider taking digestive enzymes with cooked food. The only ones I endorse are AIM PrepZymes, containing enzymes to digest every type of food that we eat. For those folks transitioning to a healthy lifestyle, this is a great "tool" to use. In my opinion, if your plate of food is not at least 60 percent raw, digestive enzymes will be beneficial to take.

Thanksgiving Challenge I would like to challenge you to make a fresh salad of your choice to serve or to take with to your Thanksgiving meal this year. Remember, it is beneficial to eat some thing raw before you eat something cooked! 6 I 1-800-456-2462

AIM Helps End Twenty Years of Back Pain Shared by Samuel Wu, Group Builder in New York

I have had chronic back pain since I was fourteen. My doctor couldn’t figure out what was wrong, but according to the X-ray, my spine wasn’t straight and certain joints were out of alignment.

In September, I returned to New York, where the cold temperature made my back feel a bit better. This was the time I heard Dr. Yu-Shiaw Chen’s story about her back pain from lifting a baby.

I believe it was because of lack of sleep and heavy schoolwork during my younger days. My body was not able to grow properly, so the damage was permanent.

Having been a loyal user of AIM products for more than a decade, I did not hesitate to follow her advice and took CalciAIM and Frame Essentials and applied Mag-nificence lotion nightly before sleeping.

I could only sleep on the floor, not on a soft mattress. Sleeping on a cold floor isn’t healthy, and I rarely had a good night’s sleep. But if I tried to sleep on a mattress, my back would begin to hurt again. This went on for twenty years. In 2015, I returned to Taiwan to help my family. I injured my back carrying a heavy table across a hallway and then down the stairs into the basement. I could not stand up straight without feeling pain. A visit to the doctor didn’t help much. After a few months, there was some improvement, but on a hot summer night the pain came back after exercising. This time the severe pain lasted more than three months, feeling like thousands of tiny, broken pieces of glass inside my back.

By the second week, I experienced unbelievable change. My back pain almost vanished as though it had never existed. I was able to do the things I had struggled with in the past. And now I can sleep soundly on a mattress and awaken refreshed and energized. For me, this is a life-changing miracle. I don’t believe in miracles, but this one is real. It has given me a new beginning on my life journey, all thanks to my sponsor, Dr. Chen, AIM products and the power of nutrition. Testimonials should not be construed as representing results that everyone can achieve.

Lack of sleep and being unable to stand or walk led to an overwhelming amount of tears and frustration. I was ready to give up, accepting that I might be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life, and I hadn’t even turned forty.

The Turnaround with BarleyLife Shared by Elizabeth DeGroot, AIM Director in Sarnia, Ontario

Elizabeth DeGroot suffered from abnormal bleeding for two years after giving birth to her son. “I had two dilation and curettage (D&C) surgical procedures done, but they didn’t work. Nothing seemed to work,” Elizabeth explained. “My gynecologist said he could give me medication, but it would cause cancer in about ten years.” Instead, she tried homeopathic treatment. After a year, her frustrated naturopath told her that only God could heal her. “So I prayed to God,” Elizabeth recalled, “telling him that I couldn’t do much more. I needed an answer.”

Around that time, her husband had a housepainting job. One day the owner asked him if he was a Christian, and he responded affirmatively. The woman wanted to know because the night before she had been awakened by God, who told her that the painter’s wife had to read the book, Green Leaves of Barley. “ That was weird,” Elizabeth acknowledged, “but I did get the book and then, trusting the answer, bought some BarleyLife. Within five and a half months, I went from feeling like an eggshell with nothing inside—no emotions—to feeling happy again and excited about being alive. And the abnormal bleeding stopped, and my cycle returned to normal.” Along with giving BarleyLife to her two sons and a daughter, Elizabeth recommended it to others, including many women whose health also improved. Something additionally remarkable happened by giving BarleyLife to her son, Ezra, who had been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when he was only nineteen months old. “Ezra used to wake up thirty times a night and puke mucus,” Elizabeth recollected, “but that went to zero after five and a half months. The specialist said, ‘I don’t know what to say about that.’ Like me, Ezra took a quarter teaspoon of BarleyLife up to a heaping teaspoon in the morning and at night. BarleyLife brought him to where he is today: thirty-one years old and serving in the military.” When all is said and done, Elizabeth is incredibly grateful for the health improvements that she, her family and so many other people have experienced. This explains her resolve when Elizabeth stated, “Even if I cannot afford certain things, I’m never going without BarleyLife.”

A Dietary Approach to

Reducing Your Risk of Alzheimer’s Disease There is strong evidence that the Westernpattern diet increases your risk of Alzheimer’s disease. When the Western diet became popular in Japan, the rate of Alzheimer’s rose from 1 to 7 percent in a little under twenty-five years. It is now estimated that every citizen of the United States has a 4 percent chance of developing Alzheimer’s. That’s downright scary. Meat, or the saturated fat in meat, is believed to be a major culprit, alongside trans fat and sugar. Saturated fats raise the level of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in the blood. LDL cho lesterol is not only bad for the heart, but it’s also terrible for the brain. Cholesterol and fat, researchers think, speed up the formation of plaque in the brain, which may cause the damage associated with Alzheimer’s. A study in Annals of Neurology tested the cognitive functioning of female sub jects with various diets. Those who consumed the most saturated fats per formed worst on exams.

Exercise, smoking cessation and weight loss also reduce the risks, and there are quite a few dietary approaches too. Doctors have recommended the Mediterranean diet because it is low in red meat and eggs but high in fish, vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains and olive oil. This diet doesn’t combat the disease directly, but instead protects the blood vessels. Heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes are all risk factors, so a balanced diet provides holistic protection. Vitamin K along with other nutrients like lutein—found in ample amounts in AIM prod ucts like BarleyLife, GinkgoSense and LeafGreens—have been shown to slow rates of cognitive decline, according to a 2015 report by the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. They examined nearly 1,000 elderly adults for a five-year period and found that those who consumed two servings of vegetables daily had the cognitive ability of a person eleven years younger than those who consumed none! The researchers believe that vitamin K, folate, beta-carotene and lutein were likely responsible for the benefits. Ginkgo biloba, like that found in AIM’s GinkgoSense, has been used in Europe to treat dementia because it may protect nerve cells damaged by Alzheimer’s. Other research indicates ginkgo’s positive effects on memory and thinking in those afflicted with either Alzheimer’s or dementia. Ginkgo has also been proven effective at improving blood flow, which affects overall health. See how the AIM products can help you reduce your risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia. November 2016

Diabetes Wake-up Call!

3 9 6

Have you visited the World Health Organization (WHO) website page listing ten facts about diabetes? It reveals some frightening details including:

• Diabetes was the direct cause of 1.5 million deaths globally in 2012. • The prevalence of this disease has been steadily increasing over the past thirty years.

Why Should We Care?

We can all be at risk of this disease that spells disaster for the metabolism. None of us want to be a disease statistic as a result of having high blood sugar. The consequences of type 2 diabetes include kidney failure, heart attacks and blindness and, ultimately, death.

However, the tenth WHO fact is that type 2 diabetes, which is the majority of cases worldwide, can be prevented by exercising regularly for at least thirty minutes daily and eating well. Being overweight is a huge risk factor for diabetes, and consistent physical activity contributes to weight management. Wholesome food should be a daily ingre dient of every health plan, and supplemental nutrition from AIM offers a concentrated effort to keep you healthy.

My mom is eighty-eight years old, and she won’t go a day without BarleyLife. She’s battled diabetes for twenty years, and the doctors can’t believe that she hasn’t gotten worse. AIM-sponsored People & Athlete Places

Chelsea Wewege: On Pointe Nutrition Only twenty-five international students are admitted an nually into the renowned Central School of Ballet in London. Hopefuls submit applications and audition tapes if they cannot try out in person. AIM-sponsored ballet dan cer Chelsea Wewege of Durban, South Africa, was selected based solely on her video, a rare feat. She’s also won two scholarships to the American Academy of Ballet Summer School of Excellence in New York City, earned her American Academy of Ballet Performance Awards to level twelve (with gold distinction) and passed her advanced Royal Academy of Ballet Exam also with distinction. Since the age of six, Chelsea has dreamed of becoming a principal ballerina with the Royal Ballet Company in London. “This is a huge aspiration, but I believe through determined hard work and perseverance, it can be possible,” she said. Determined hard work comes in the form of daily exercise, an hour of cardio, e.g., walking, swimming, or aerobics and an hour of Pilates. That’s on top of the time she spends at dance practice. In order to maintain such a grueling schedule, she ensures her nutrition is on point. “Rehearsals and classes can carry on for hours; therefore, if you don’t feed your body what it needs, you will become weak and never dance professionally. My entire life I’ve used BarleyLife Xtra. I either take it with fruit juice in the morning or mix into a fresh fruit drink to take during class. BarleyLife gives me energy to push through demanding classes and keep alert all day. 12 I 1-800-456-2462

“When I train in London, I will make sure to use ProPeas and AIMega. ProPeas is lovely to use on the go and is light enough to have between classes and rehearsals. I can trust ProPeas as there are no harmful ingredients in it and is the perfect goto when I need instant, lasting energy. “AIMega provides the perfect oils to keep my nerves, metabolism, skin, nails and organs functioning healthily and at their peak. I also use Herbal Fiberblend and PrepZymes to keep my body functioning, no matter where I’m at or what type of food I’m eating. “I strongly believe that what you put into your body determines your performance. Natural, plant-based supplements lead to pure and real output, the kind involved in success; whereas unnatural supplements lead to burnout.” The AIM Companies is proud to sponsor Chelsea Wewege, daughter of AIM Members Allison and Anthony Wewege. We look forward to hearing more about her continued successes in London and worldwide. Testimonials should not be construed as representing results that everyone can achieve.

People Red Rush & Places Athlete

Revamping the Red Rush Athlete Program ™

The Red Rush Athlete program was initially devised as a way to get the word out about Red Rush within the athletic community. The program was a success, and news of our product was spread far and wide. We were also able to garner hundreds of social media posts and dozens of athlete testimonies for the product, which we hope our Members will share with others. In order to strengthen the partnership between AIM corporate and the Members, we are now putting the Red Rush athlete program completely in the hands of distributors. If you know an athlete who competes regularly, you can coax them to sign up as a new AIM Member by encouraging them to apply for the Red Rush Athlete Program by emailing If selected, the athlete will receive one 12-pack of Red Rush monthly as long as they are competing in an athletic event that month and agree to post about the event and Red Rush on social media along with a link to a GoRedRush capture page. Corporate reserves

the right to repost the athlete’s image (without the capture page). In order for Members to take advantage of this offer, they will need to be signed up for the GoBarleyLife/GoRedRush platform. Why? Whenever your sponsored athlete posts, he or she will be required to provide a link to your Membercoded capture page. Any one interested in learning more about Red Rush can visit the link and then opt in by providing their contact information and become new leads. All those valuable leads will go straight to the sponsoring Member! We believe this revamp of our successful program will assist Members in reaching new, exciting markets, achieve greater product awareness, encourage online marketing and create growth overall for both the individual, participating Members and for Corporate. This is just another example of our motto “In Partnership for Life.”
