AIM Canada Microsite

Testing may be underway as early as April on Canadian-specific pages within theaimcompanies.com website. The staff in the AIM Canada Head Office is currently undertaking the construction of a microsite in English and French. Visitors landing on the AIM Canada Home page are welcomed to the microsite with a slideshow of featured products, including AIM BarleyLife®, the Daily Essentials™, and AIM Proancynol® 2000; testimonials from people who have benefited from AIM product use, and a link to the Healthy Cell Concept™—the five-step guide to good health. The Products page provides pop-up information for AIM whole-food concentrates

and natural health products, each with a shopping link. Given that all of AIM Canada’s natural health products now have Natural Product Numbers (NPNs), this page will also explain a bit of background regarding the importance of Health Canada’s NPNs. The Opportunity page reveals the new opportunity that awaits those building a home-based business with AIM. Quick links to the Smart Start Bonus and the AIM Opportunity describe the financial benefits of sponsoring new Members. The News page brings visitors up-to-date with the latest natural health news, along with links to the most recent issues of the Canadian Health Headlines the Living Well magazine and Health Headlines. Social networking sites, including Facebook and Twitter, and the

increasingly popular YouTube will also have a featured presence on this page and icon links on every page. The Contact page makes it easy for visitors to send us any questions or comments they may have, as well as the locations of the Vancouver head office and the Calgary Warehouse, all with map links. Once the microsite is successfully launched, modifications will be ongoing. A good website continually undergoes updating throughout its online presence. In the meantime as construction moves forward, thoughts or suggestions about this AIM Canada project are welcome. Contact our head office by e-mailing aimcanada@aimintl.com or by calling 1-888-343-9977.

AIM gave me Hope AIM products helped me realize that my future could be different, that I could be healthier, and that it was possible to be free from what I have lived with for many years. Approximately a year and a half ago, I was reintroduced to AIM products and started using them on a regular basis. I had heard about them before, but now knew it was time to be serious about making a change. At that time, I had basically given up, feeling so sick that I could not see a reason for continuing on. I was suffering from severe chronic pain due to osteoarthritis and other health issues, including an intestinal system that had basically shut down. In addition, I had a toxic liver because of the amount of pain medicine that I had taken. First I started taking AIM BarleyLife® and AIM Herbal Fiberblend®. I had heard that I would have to adjust to the taste, but I was able to start taking them with no problem. My system began absorbing the BarleyLife. I believe my body was finally experiencing something that was good for it and something that had benefits. I also used AIM Just Carrots® and AIM RediBeets®. Another product that I have seen benefits from is AIM Frame Essentials®, which I now use in place of the toxic pain killers I had been using for arthritis. AIM PrepZymes® has been amazing help for my issues with acid reflux and other digestive problems. Due to my suffering from dizzy headaches, I have added AIM GlucoChrom™ and a major diet change, which has almost completely eliminated that problem. I have also added AIM LeafGreens® to my daily regimen. Sometimes I use AIM ProPeas® for shakes or just to add more protein to my diet. My favorite product has to be BarleyLife. My system likes it so much that if I miss it or try to cut down on the amount, I soon notice the change. It is like my body knows that BarleyLife is good for it and that it needs it. I cannot be thankful enough for AIM products. They have given me freedom from my health issues. I can now soar. The POWER of magnesium in MAG-NIFICENCE! AIM is pleased to offer four topical applications of magnesium in the AIM Mag-nificence™ line of products—bath salts, spray, gel (available in April), and AIM Cell Wellness Restorer™ bath additive. And there is good reason for doing so. Since over 300 reactions in the body depend on magnesium, it can have a huge impact on your wellbeing and not so-well-being. It all depends on your intake. Studies have shown that people who consume greater amounts of magnesium through supplementation, hard water, or diet are less prone to cardiovascular disease and sudden death than those with a lower magnesium intake. This effect coincides with magnesium’s large role in cardiovascular health, as a high concentration of the magnesium found in the body resides in the heart. Specifically, research has found that low blood levels of magnesium promote atherosclerosis, a hardening of the arteries. Lower magnesium levels may also raise blood pressure or lead to irregular heartbeats known as arrhythmias. Magnesium may even improve heart health after a cardiovascular event. Some studies have noted improved survival after a heart attack in patients given magnesium supplements, reducing their risk of death to one-fourth of that with patients having only standard treatment. Its benefits extend beyond heart health, too. Magnesium supports the body’s cellular and chemical functions by regulating calcium. In addition to its high concentration in the heart, magnesium is also found in large quantities in the bones and teeth and in brain tissue.

Magnesium has been used for asthma, as it helps relax the lung muscles that open the airways for easier breathing. This vital mineral has even gained interest in relation to chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), as many CFS patients have low blood magnesium levels and magnesium may improve energy levels. Magnesium is also important in controlling blood sugar levels, as it plays a central role in the secretion and action of insulin. It can improve insulin response and reaction. It is also being studied for its positive effect on fibromyalgia, migraine and tension headaches, osteoporosis, and premenstrual syndrome. With such a wide range of benefits, it is vitally important that we supply our body with an adequate amount of this essential mineral. Now in addition to Cell Wellness Restorer, Mag-nificence gives you three products that you may use alternatively for a variety of ways to ensure you are getting enough magnesium.

Mag-nificence™ Magnesium Crystals 1 kg single (6060E): $10.00 6-pack (6061E): $54.00

Mag-nificence™ Magnesium Spray 266ml single (6054E): $20.75 (Includes one empty travel-size spray bottle)

6-pack (6055E): $115.50 (Includes three empty travel-size spray bottles)

What a Pair!

FibreBalance and ProPeas

Some things go hand in hand. That’s the case with healthy meals that include lean protein and fibre-rich vegetables, both of which provide energy, stabilize blood sugar, and promote satiety—that feeling that you have had enough to eat without being overfed. Your body requires daily amounts of protein and fibre. Men and women over the age of nineteen need around 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. For example, a person that weighs 65 kg needs 52 g of protein a day [65 x 0.8 = 52]. As for fibre intake, you need 26–35 grams daily, depending on your age and gender. The majority of your protein and fibre intake should come from the food you eat. The reality is that we often get less fibre than we need and too much protein from meat. AIM FibreBalance® (NPN 80013086) and AIM ProPeas™ provide healthy sources of fibre and protein to supplement our daily requirements.

FibreBalance

ProPeas

When it comes to staying healthy, one of the most important factors is to keep your digestive system working optimally. FibreBalance can be an essential key that opens that door to good health.

You need protein for your body to build, maintain, and replace the tissues of your muscles, organs, and immune system. ProPeas supplements your intake with unique pea protein.

Among its many benefits, fibre can ease constipation, lower cholesterol, stabilize blood sugar, lessen the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel diseases, and reduce the risk of appendicitis, diverticulosis, and colon cancer.

Containing eighteen of the standard twenty amino acids, ProPeas includes all nine of the essential amino acids that must come from your food intake. Amino acids are the organic-compound, building blocks of protein that perform a number of functions, including cellular communication and the creation of enzymes and hormones.

FibreBalance cleans you from the inside out with three different sources of fibre: oat—for a non-allergenic fibre source; inulin— for the support of friendly bacteria; and flax seed—for a rich source of lignans, which may slow down the progress of hormonesensitive cancers that need estrogen to thrive. Including marshmallow root and slippery elm bark, the formula contains six herbs known for their effectiveness in combating inflammation and cleansing and maintaining a healthy digestive tract. A two-scoop serving (16.6 g) of FibreBalance provides nearly 12 grams of fibre.

ProPeas provides a gluten-free source of protein from non-GMO field peas grown in Canada. This green protein promotes a healthy pH balance in your body, unlike meat proteins, which have an acidifying effect, create inflammation, and often contain too much fat. Since pea protein is digested slowly, you also get the benefit of feeling satiated after enjoying a ProPeas beverage. One scoop of ProPeas’ has a total of only 90 calories, contains only 1.5 grams of fat, and provides 12 grams of easily digested protein.

To build, to cleanse, and to lose weight, FibreBalance and ProPeas go hand in hand. Mix rice milk, fibre, and protein to create a healthy snack or meal replacement. “One scoop of each,” Rose Bird said, “and you won’t feel hungry.” This healthy energy source supports your body metabolism. Together, FibreBalance and ProPeas pair up perfectly—fibre and protein.

Frame Essentials relieved knee pain I hurt my knee a few years ago, and recently it was so sore that I could hardly walk. Chairman’s Club Director Edna Smith suggested I take four AIM Frame Essentials® capsules four times per day. I asked incredulously, “Sixteen capsules?” She said, “Yes.” I followed her instructions, and it made a huge difference in only a couple of days. I still went to the chiropractor, and it helped a lot, too. But the initial pain of the first few days was greatly reduced by taking a heavy dose of Frame Essentials. I keep taking the product now for maintenance. It is a great product, and I highly recommend it. Rita Vandertil, Star Sapphire Director Sombra, ON Editor’s Note: Taking therapeutic amounts for short periods of time to saturate tissues is sometimes necessary. However, we suggest adhering to the recommended daily dose on the label as it is based on scientific research.

Look for the NPNs! As of January 2013, all of AIM Canada’s natural health products have been approved by Health Canada. Over ten years have passed since AIM Canada began applying for product licences as part of the regulations of Natural Health Products Directorate (NHPD). In Canada, the manufacturers of all supplements must submit applications with full product ingredient disclosure for assessment by Health Canada’s Natural Health Products Directorate (NHPD). “We review products for three things: safety, efficacy and quality,” explained Julia Fogg, NHPD assessment officer and naturopathic doctor. When approved, the product is assigned an NPN that must be displayed on the label, which must also provide a complete list of medicinal and nonmedicinal ingredients, dosage, how to take the product, and any warnings or risks statements. A former director general of the NHPD, Michelle Boudreau, stated, “... from the consumers’ perspective, it’s really important to look at the label. If there is no number on the label, it means that Health Canada has not reviewed that product for safety and efficacy. So look for the NPN ... on the label.” And every natural health product in the AIM Canada line-up has an NPN. To the average Canadian, this may not seem like important news. However, AIM Members know that this is a huge accomplishment given so many natural products are no longer available in the marketplace and even more are likely to disappear. Those Members using AIM natural health products can continue to rely upon them for maintaining good health. For AIM business builders, the fact that all of AIM’s natural health products have NPNs is a strong selling point for potential customers. The AIM products they buy are not only safe, effective, and of high quality, they are accessible in the ever-changing Canadian marketplace. So spread the good news. Note: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) handles all food products, so whole-food concentrates such as AIM BarleyLife®, AIM RediBeets®, and AIM ProPeas™ do not require NPNs.
