sessions with Ken reviewing the previous day’s Olympic highlights. AIM Director Anitra Donald became our “Transportation Coordinator,” constantly driving us to the nearby Sky Train. She was truly duty bound – picking us up as late as 1:30 a.m. Anitra also gave us expert guidance and directions when we drove into the city. Thanks to the Proctor and Gamble Family Home, we had a place to meet our loved ones in the heart of Vancouver. They offered the families of Olympians the comforts of home, meals, and other amenities. It is here we spent much of our time meeting and entertaining, even celebrating two birthdays! We could not have done it without P&G. Of course, J.R. did more than his part to ensure we all had a memorable experience at the Olympics as well. For me, it was an experience of a lifetime. Watching my son beaming twice with arms raised, a bouquet of flowers in one hand and a medal around his neck, with Olympic music blaring while on the world stage – what could be better? I guess the only thing better is having my family participate in the Family Project that allowed my son to fulfill a childhood dream. Editor’s note: The AIM Companies extends its heartfelt congratulations to J.R. and family. AIM Members and AIM staff from around the world proudly watched J.R. compete in the 2010 Winter Games. AIM Canada’s General Manager Rose Bird and Janice Chan; AIM Chairman’s Club Directors Ken and Lanny Donald and Daryl and Betty Hicks; and AIM Directors Anitra Donald and Jensina Donald were in attendance to cheer J.R. on in person.

competition. His first race occurred eight days later. But first, J.R. fulfilled another dream. At the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games, J.R. marched in the very front row of the U.S. team, with NBC cameras singling him out before anyone else. A photographer friend of the family, Jerry Search, captured the TV image and perfectly described what he saw on J.R.’s face: “I’m here, I have won!” For the next two weeks, the Celski family participated in the Olympics from every standpoint. Most fulfilling was the fact that we were able to share this lifetime experience with our loved ones: family and friends who were somehow involved in the Family Project along the way. Our oldest son Chris spent two weeks in Vancouver. Our son David, an Army First Lieutenant, and his wife Brittney were able to be with us for nine days. Both grandmas, Betty and Penny, were in attendance, as were most of J.R.’s aunts, uncles, and cousins, and our closest family friends. Having the games occur less than a three-hour drive from our home was such an advantage. No event of this magnitude can be accomplished without a solid logistical plan: where to stay, how to get around, meal planning, a comfortable place to meet our loved ones coming in for the events. Luckily, we had a connection right at the doorstep of the games! Our close friends, AIM Chairman’s Club Directors Ken and Lanny Donald completely opened up their home to us in Surrey, British Columbia, which made an easy start point to our activities. With warmth and hospitality, our every need was taken care of. For 17 days, we turned the Donald home into our “Operations Cen ter,” laptops taking over the dining room, bags strewn around the house. What a joy it was being with the Donalds. I really enjoyed my daily

Shape up! AIM for better results A

re your clothes mysteriously shrinking? Or are you simply expanding in all the wrong places? Did your New Year’s resolution to get fitter somehow shift into get fatter? Do you look in the mirror and wish to see a flat tummy or six-pack abs? Whatever the reason or the season, the time is always right to begin shaping up.

Exercise! It is a fact that at some point, you have to start moving and continue moving on a regular basis in order to stay in good shape. It may be tough to get motivated, but regular exercise is vital for maintaining good health both physically and mentally. Find an activity that you enjoy, such as swimming, walking, or doing aerobics. AIM offers an enjoyable way to start exercising or to add to your fitness routine with an exercise ball. With the included air pump and exercise instructions, you have everything you need to bounce, stretch, and roll. Have a ball while you are shaping up and make exercise a fun part of your day. Plus, you will benefit from the workout endorphins— brain chemicals released during a good workout. Exercise increases your endorphins and decreases your waist size. Looking good and feeling healthy are pleasant side effects as well.

Nutrition! Diet is an essential factor for getting in shape. What goes down can make your weight go up, so carefully choosing the food and drink you put into your mouth makes the shaping-up difference. Food selection along with moderation is the key. If you are eating food that is fatty or processed and drinking beverages that are sugar- and chemical-laced, then stop. Avoid them at all costs. Such fake foods and drinks are convenient but you are treating your body like a garbage can.

Your stomach may act like a friend or relative that is always telling you what you need. But do not forget that you are in charge, not your stomach, which may rumble with familiar cravings for a cheeseburger, fries, and a soda. Train your stomach to hunger for whole foods, such as fruit and vegetables, and be satisfied with smaller portions of high quality meat (or none at all if you are on the vegetarian path). And make sure that you drink water throughout the day, especially while you are working up a sweat during exercise. Good nutrition equals good health in the long run.

Supplement with AIM products! Good nutrition is the heart and soul of The AIM Companies™ in the form of whole food supplements and natural health products. Supplementing with AIM products enhances your dietary choices and ensures that you are giving your body an optimal amount of nutrients on a daily basis. Your shaping-up diet does not get any healthier than that. If you are trying to lose weight, the trio of products in the AIM Weight Management Starter Pack can help you shed pounds and shape up with strong and lean muscles. Protein is a dietary necessity, and the alkaline, vegetable protein in AIM ProPeas® provides a healthy alternative to acid-forming meat protein. Along with ProPeas, the fiber in AIM fit ’n fiber® contributes to that full-stomach feeling, so you feel like eating less. The antioxidant-rich AIM CellStar™ superjuices boost your immune system while supplying a wealth of nutrients to support your weight reduction or exercise goals. Of course, it goes without saying that the whole-food benefits of AIM BarleyLife®, which is an important part of a daily wellness regime, also help boost your exercise routine. Do not even think about reaching for a sports drink unless you are reaching for AIM Peak Endurance®. Energize and replenish your body with Peak Endurance’s absorbable adenosine triphosphate (ATP) – your cells’ primary source of energy – from PEAK ATP®, along with five electrolytes, B

May is National Fitness Awareness Month vitamins, and vitamin C. Adding Peak Endurance to your exercise routine helps to improve your muscle growth, strength, and recovery. And it gives you an anti-aging upper hand in going up against the hands of time.

Sleep! Getting enough rest is a vital factor in shaping up. The 2004 Wisconsin Sleep Cohort Study, involving over 1,000 participants, showed that getting less than seven to eight hours of sleep every night creates an imbalance of appetiteregulating hormones. The less you sleep, the more weight you gain and the more difficult it is for you to lose weight. Think of your bed as a repair shop. While you are sleeping off the wear-and-tear of the day, your muscles are being repaired and your body is being restored. And if you ever need help in winding down from the stress of life, taking AIM Composure® helps you to relax and sleep more soundly. Sleep is like an essential nutrient that your body requires to stay healthy. You know how you feel after a good night’s sleep. All you have to do is compare it to how you feel when you have not slept well – grumpy, physically impaired, and mentally in a fog.

member testimony

Slow down the hands of time By Mitch Clarke, AIM Group Builder, Canada In October of 2009, I laid my dear dad to rest. My father had so many serious health issues. His vision was impaired by glaucoma, which required the regular use of eye drops. He had a quadruple bypass at 75 and went through dialysis three times a week for four hours. Deterioration of the cartilage in his knees made even walking painful, so he was unable to do any exercise. Eventually, his legs had to be amputated due to a poor circulation. Although my dad had physiotherapy twice a week, he was never able to walk with prosthetic limbs. As for me, I had a heart attack at the age of fifty. I certainly did not want to end up with numerous health issues like my father. Even though I had a positive attitude about life, I wasn’t taking care of my health. Job stress kept me from doing any exercise, even walking. I wasn’t eating well because I was always on the go. I wasn’t relaxed because I was too stressed by the challenges I faced. After the heart attack, everything changed. I started to get some exercise by going for walks. I made healthy changes in my eating habits. I learned how to relax. And I changed my job. Then AIM entered my life. I found out about AIM from Ron Wright, the company’s president. Years ago, Ron came to hear me preach at the church where I was an associate pastor, and he never forgot me. In 2009, we were reunited through a mutual friend, and Ron invited me to join AIM. Wanting to live life to the fullest, my wife Debbie and I learned about the products and the income opportunity by having information sessions with Rose Bird, general manager of AIM Canada, at the Vancouver office. We immediately started taking 70 percent of the AIM products. I have become convinced of their long-term effectiveness and have enjoyed the new-found liveliness that comes from taking AIM Peak Endurance ® and AIM BarleyLife ® along with a freedom and ease of movement from AIMega ® and AIM Frame Essentials® as I exercise. Thrilled with these results, I have talked about my positive results with family and friends, and they have begun using AIM products as well. On a final note, I remember a love song written by R. Kelly called “If I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time.” I’ve made changes to the following sampled lyrics: How did I ever let my health slip away Never knowing I’d be singing this song some day And now I’m sinking, sinking to rise no more Ever since poor health closed the door If I could turn back the hands of time Then my darlin’ health you’d still be mine If I could just turn back that little clock on the wall Then I‘d come to realize how much I love being strong. If I could turn back the hands of time I know that I cannot turn back the hands of time, but I can slow down those hands so I will enjoy my health through the future. {This testimonial cannot be construed as representing results everybody can achieve.} nutrition opportunity success /

Body pH is ideal indicator of overall health Too Acidic

Optimal Range

he struggle to maintain good internal health is made difficult by the fact that we simply cannot see what is going on inside our bodies. Though we may not be able to see the progress a healthy diet and sound nutrition are making, we can test it. Body pH test strips, like those offered by AIM (5488E, $12.50), measure the alkalinity or acidity of our bodies. Through either a saliva test or a urine test, the test strips are able to gauge how well our internal health is doing and give us an idea of what we have to shoot for. Body pH is an ideal indicator of overall body health. Since pH affects the way our bodies function on the cellular level, maintaining a healthy pH is essential to warding off disease, protecting the immune and nervous systems, and establishing a clean bill of health. pH runs on a scale of zero to 14 with seven being pH neutral. Anything under ID# 670646 seven is considered acidic and anything over seven is alkaline. In general, a healthy pH level will be slightly alkaline, around 7.4. This level matches the pH of human blood, which must remain in the range of 7.35 to 7.45 for bodies to survive. A system of safeguards in the body prevents blood pH from dipping above or below the normal, but the rigors of a highly acidic diet still have a deep impact on health. If a saliva test shows a pH that falls into the acidic range, that person’s body is working overtime to fight off the additional acid. Calcium is pulled from our bones to neutralize the effect of a highly acidic diet, and this process of continual repair can take its tolls over the years. Not only does an acid pH rob the body of valuable nutrients, it also creates an environment in the body that breeds bacteria, yeast, and other unwanted organisms. For this reason, alkalizing diets are recommended. The foods and beverages we ingest have either an acidifying or alkalizing effect on our body pH. In general, fruits and

vegetables are the leaders in creating an alkalizing effect. Grains, animal foods, and processed foods carry an acidic effect. With this in mind, it is easy to see how a typical American diet – high on processed foods, animal protein, and grains – can become highly acidic. AIM products are one effective way to help return the body to its natural, slightly alkaline state. Certain elements in the foods we eat are often held responsible for the acidifying or alkalizing effect on our bodies.

lkalizing elements, which absorb hydrogen, include sodium, potassium, magnesium, and iron. The following AIM products contain the highest amounts of these elements: Potassium: BarleyLife® and LeafGreens® Magnesium: CalciAIM™ Iron: LeafGreens

In addition to AIM nutritional concentrates, a healthy diet with health-conscious choices can make a big impact on restoring normal body pH. Avoid foods that contain sulfur, phosphorous, and chlorine. These minerals release hydrogen, causing an acidifying effect on the body. Instead, choose foods that contain elements like potassium, calcium, and iron – all of which have an alkalizing effect on the body. Making good choices with your diet and supplementing with AIM products will give you the tools you need to maintain a healthy body pH. Take a pH test to see where you stand, and follow up with a plan to alkalize your body. The struggle to maintain internal health is a lot easier when you know what needs fixing and how to fix it.

AIM Members since 1998, The Millers became active with their AIM business in 2000 and were able to effectively reach a number of family, friends, and neighbors to help build their business. John and Marlene have 10 children (9 living), 40 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and many family members take the AIM products and have successful AIM businesses of their own. The community of Dundee and the surrounding areas have also offered many opportunities to share about AIM. “Being active in our community has been very effective for us,” says John, who works full-time as a logger and helps Marlene with the AIM business in the evenings and on weekends. “We set up booths at community events, send out newsletters, and conduct meetings in our home and in the homes of our downline. “Marlene has a passion to help people to improve their health. People comment to her that they can see that she is authentic and that she truly cares about them. Marlene says, ‘If you are just out to sell products, forget it!’ You have to genuinely care about people and want to help them improve their health and quality of life. I keep datasheets, product catalogs, and business cards with me at all times to be ready for an opportunity to share.” Datasheets are the Millers’ favorite sales tools, and they consider AIM BarleyLife® and AIM Herbal Fiberblend® as two of their favorite products. The Millers spend a lot of time reaching out to their downline and into the community. A typical work day involves preparing mailings to be sent out, stamping AIM literature with their personal contact information, and staying in touch with downline Members by phone and mail. For new Members, John and Marlene encourage them to commit to using the AIM products for at least 90 days consistently so that they can experience results on their own and then share those experiences with others. As the Millers have found success with their AIM

business, they have seen their reach expand beyond their local community. “Having an AIM business has blessed us with being able to travel more,” John says. “We travel and share with others about the AIM products. Our influence has grown beyond our local community and family. “Financially we have been blessed to be able to give more to charities, individuals, and families. We have met people who have become our friends. Taking the AIM products has improved the quality of our lives and lives of others. We are able to make a difference in peoples’ lives by truly caring for them and sharing with them about the benefits of using the AIM products.” When John and Marlene are not hard at work at their AIM business, they enjoy reading; Marlene loves to delve into health-related topics and Christian non-fiction. Also, the Millers take time to travel, go to conventions, and visit other AIM Members and family. “We love it when people associated with AIM come to visit us,” Marlene says. “We enjoy spending time with them, sharing, and just having fellowship together. John and I talk often about if we had not got involved with AIM we would not know as many people as we do now. Truly being involved with AIM has changed our lives. We are so grateful to God for how He has blessed us, our family, and our downline.” The Millers prefer not to be photographed. Below is one of Marlene’s favorite horses.

AIM Royal Emerald Promotion

June Poswiata

– Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada –

IM has given me financial stability, freedom to spend more time with my family, and the opportunity to help others wherever I go,” Royal Emerald Director June Poswiata says. June, a weight loss coach and nutrition educator in her hometown of Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada, started with The AIM Companies™ in March of 1993 and has spent nearly two decades improving the lives of those around her. She is very active in her church, business, and community, and she is a mother of three and a proud grandmother of five. “By encouraging others that they don’t have to be sick, I have something incredible to share with them,” says June, who counts AIM LeafGreens® and AIM ProPeas® among her favorite products. “With the AIM products, it is a sure win.” A key to June’s success is following up with those she comes in contact with. Keeping in touch has been an effective way for her to grow her AIM business, especially through regular monthly meetings that she hosts. “I believe follow up is very important, and when people see how much you really care about them, they tell others,” June says. “I have a file box, and I make a card out for each Member, customer, and client, with their name, phone

number, and any personal information that they have shared with me so I can always make conversation when I re-call them.” The most important lesson that June says she can teach new Members is the principles of USSBT – Use the products, Share the products, Sponsor others, Build strong relationships, and Teach others to do the same. As part of the USSBT model, June also encourages new Members to be purposeful in following up and to always leave home with AIM product and business information to share. June puts USSBT into practice in a number of different ways through her home business. She works out of her home so that she can always be on call and available for those who need her. She also spends time on the phone, calling Members in her downline who are near promotion (she checks her downline online) and phoning Members who have not ordered recently. Despite the busy schedule, June makes sure to take time for herself, allowing one day off each week for her to do the things she likes to do. “I am able to work independently from my home with the freedom to work when I want to and being able to travel with AIM to beautiful places each year that I never dreamed possible,” June says. “The AIM Companies™ and the staff are always there for me and willing to help. I so appreciate the AIM family. They are a very important part of my life.” June is also grateful for the assistance of AIM Canada General Manager Rose Bird, Chairman’s Club Director Dr. John Shewfelt, Chairman’s Club Directors Muriel and George McPherson, Chairman’s Club Directors Edna and Hilton Smith, and many others in June’s upline. nutrition opportunity success /

Silver Tsunami … aging well

orn between the years 1946 and 1966, the aging Baby Boomer generation has grown into the Silver Tsunami. As recently as five years ago, Baby Boomers made up more than 25 percent of the United States population. The demographic is huge, and it has reached an age when AIM products can be a big benefit. Although in today’s economy many continue to work beyond the age of retirement, the majority of seniors have reached a time in their lives when the focus is on enjoying the fruits of their labor. Traveling, gardening, golfing, and other such leisure activities become part of the daily routine. The most fortunate of the Silver Tsunami are those in good health. And those who have made AIM products an essential element of their daily routine know that they hold an anti-aging key for maintaining their good health. Instead of reaching for prescription drugs, the use of which is high among seniors, Silver Tsunami AIM Members take whole food supplements and natural health products that help to support healthy cells, prevent the onset of agerelated illnesses, and provide the energy and vitality that you rarely see inside a senior care facility.

Prevention The AIM Garden Trio® (AIM BarleyLife®, AIM Just Carrots®, and AIM RediBeets®) and AIM Herbal Fiberblend® provide a solid foundation for preventing health problems with a group of products that detoxify, cleanse, build, and energize. These products and more can be purchased in various combinations as Starter Packs for all AIM Members. Choose the combination of products that best suits your needs. AIM LeafGreens® offers another source of greens that is particularly rich in vitamin K. Research published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition indicates that higher intakes of vitamin K may prevent age-related conditions such as weak bones and hardening of the arteries, which increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. Vitamin K deficiency is linked to an increase in the incidence of spontaneous cancer.

Strong Bones CalciAIM™ contributes to healthy bones, cartilage, teeth, and gums with its blend of ingredients including bioavailable calcium (98 percent absorbable), magnesium, and

vitamin D. Breaking or fracturing a bone is a serious health matter when you reach a certain age, and healing takes a long time. Keep your bones strong with two servings of CalciAIM daily. Your body gets even more benefits from calcium as this essential mineral is necessary for proper muscle contraction, especially the heart.

Strong Heart Heart disease and stroke are the leading causes of death and disability in North America, so common sense says to do everything you can to keep your heart beating and your blood circulating. Pain and swelling of wasp stings subside with Cell Wellness Restorer™

n August 2004, I was working in my yard, and I reached into the flowerbed to pull out some dead leaves. I disturbed a wasp’s nest, and the angry wasps attacked my hand. I had several wasp bites on my hand. It began to throb with pain and started to swell. I went running into the house and asked my husband Pete (the skeptic veterinarian) to get a bottle of AIM Cell Wellness Restorer™. We stood at the sink as Pete poured the Cell Wellness Restorer over my hand; I rubbed it in, and the pain and swelling immediately subsided. Seeing is believing, so Pete could not doubt what he had seen with his very own eyes. He made the comment that wasp stings always itch later, but mine never did. A landscaper was here working at the time, and after witnessing this, he purchased a bottle of Cell Wellness Restorer. – AIM Star Sapphire Director Martha Hendry, Louisiana {This testimonial cannot be construed as representing results everybody can achieve.}

supplemental source of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), the nutrient that creates the initial spark of energy in every one of your cells, and in particular, heart muscle cells, which have the highest energy requirements. AIMega® supplies omega-3 and -6 essential fatty acids (EFAs) that work at the cellular level as essential, anti-aging nutrients for cell growth, function, and repair. The heart health benefits from Omega-3 and -6 in AIMega® include improved circulation, healthy blood pressure levels, and a reduced risk of heart disease. AIM fit ’n fiber® contains 12 grams of fiber, 10 of which are heart-healthy soluble fiber. High soluble fiber intakes are associated with lower cholesterol, reduced blood pressure, and lower risk of coronary heart disease.

AIM CellStar™ Pomagrape contains a blend of superfruits and extracts that are loaded with antioxidants and may help improve blood flow and cardiovascular strength.

Clear Mind & Vision Memory loss and poor vision do not have to be part of getting older. AIM GinkgoSense® combines ginkgo biloba leaf extract, bilberry fruit extract, fish oil, and marigold extract (lutein and zeaxanthin) to provide a wealth of nutrients that help to improve your circulation, boost mental acuity, and support healthy vision. Defend yourself against the aging process with GinkgoSense.

Get into shape for summer with AIM products

IM’s powerful pair of AIM ProPeas® and AIM fit ’n fiber® can help you shape up for summer. If you are looking to lose weight and live healthy, the Lean Team is your solution. Group Builder Shannon Jones from Springfield, Oregon, gave the Lean Team a try, and she has been amazed at the results. n August, I started using AIM LeafGreens ® and changed my way of eating. In about three weeks, I had lost 12 pounds. I then added AIM Herbal Fiberblend®, and I dropped more weight. “Family and friends were really noticing a change. My internal conditioning coach, Director Judy Rowe, had me then add ProPeas and fit ‘n fiber to my regimen. In three-and-a-half months, I was down 33 pounds. I went from a 3X to a size 16. I still have about 50 to 60 pounds to lose, but I know I can do it with my AIM products and with Judy’s help. “I just turned 49 years old, and I am starting my countdown to ‘50 and fabulous!’ My goal is to lose 50 to 60 pounds by my 50th birthday. Each month, I am planning fun and exciting things to do like cross country skiing, whitewater rafting, hiking, sky diving, water skiing, and so on. I truly know I couldn’t be doing these things without my AIM products. I have so much more energy than ever before. My three sons cannot believe it. I feel I am truly coming alive! “Also, I have been able to go off of my hormone replacement and Zoloft medications. “Thank you so much for your amazing products. I am now full of life and ‘AIMing’ high.”

What a difference healthy eating habits and AIM nutrition can make. Shannon’s commitment to whole-food nutrition played a big role in her amazing weight loss story. The four-leaf formula in AIM LeafGreens contains nutrients like kaempherol, which helps with arteriosclerosis. Herbal Fiberblend is an unbeatable colon cleanser, helping the body to assimilate nutrients and eliminate waste. Add to those products the weight loss power of the Lean Team, and you have a healthy weight loss option that produces real results. Shannon benefited from the fiber boost of fit ’n fiber and the healthy protein in ProPeas. fit ‘n fiber contains 12 grams of fiber, 10 grams of which are heart-healthy soluble fiber. Not only can soluble fiber help lower levels of LDL-cholesterol, it reduces appetite, providing a feeling of fullness that helps limit overeating. In addition, the high fiber content in fit ‘n fiber supports a healthy diet and exercise lifestyle. ProPeas, a vegetable protein concentrate, complements a healthy weight loss routine in a number of different ways. Like fit ‘n fiber, the protein in ProPeas helps increase satiety. Protein can also help improve metabolic rate, allowing the body to break down food and convert to energy faster and more effectively. And protein has an impact on the creation of lean muscle mass, which helps burn calories. Shannon’s Lean Team lifestyle has produced healthy weight loss results. ProPeas and fit ’n fiber can do the same for you. If you are serious about weight loss, give protein and fiber from AIM a serious look.
