Don’t forget that pre-registration is required to attend the 14th-annual Tarrant County Back To School Roundup, presented by Walmart, on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Will Rogers Memorial Center’s Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall (3401 W. Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76107). Families must meet eligibility guidelines and pre-register by Aug. 7 to attend the event. Families can pre-register online through July 9 or at preregistration events being held throughout Tarrant County. Roundup - a one-stop shopping experience to prepare the entire family for school - will provide free school supplies to pre-registered students in pre-K through 12th grade who meet specific eligibility requirements, plus health, dental and vision screenings, sports physicals, immunizations, haircuts, and information on education, health and social services. Pre-K through 5th grade students will receive a free backpack.

Free parking is available at Farrington Field. Additional parking is available for $10 at the Memorial Center. Only eligible Tarrant County families who have pre-registered by Aug. 7 will be admitted into Roundup. (No walk-ups the day of the event.) In order to pre-register, participants must be students ages 3-18 who reside in Tarrant County and meet the 2018 Federal Poverty Income guidelines. Qualification requirements include a photo ID, proof of Tarrant County residency and proof of income. The presenting sponsor is Walmart, and the major sponsor is Sid W. Richardson Foundation.
