It is with much excitement that I bring you great tidings of the great things God is doing in the vineyard through the united Body of Shepherds tendering the flocks of God in the vineyard. As you are aware our fundamental foundation is based upon our ability to unite as a single unit to achieve a Divine purpose. Who are we and what do we stand for ?

The Shepherds Bugle is the voice of Shepherds Without Borders Lighthouse Ministries; which comes out once monthly to highlight messages, news, visions, projects, strength & weakness of the United Body of the Kingdom of God. Inspired Shepherds come together monthly to write message etc for the community of God chosen. Every shepherd chosen, charged, and called by God (YHWH) to care for His flocks is officially a member. Shepherds serve as an ambassadors of the Kingdom of God , advocates for petitioning God for mankind, administrators for the handling and distributing the truth of God's Word and they need a watch tower on the hilltop to help them not to crash against the stones of temptations placed in their path by the Devil.

This magazine is The shepherds’ consulTanT for wisdom and direction when it comes to how the work of the Kingdom of God is being carried out in different places around the world. It is also a confronter of the evil practices that are carried out in the name of the kingdom of God. It is no respecter of any particular doctrine, tradition, color, language, social status, or geographical locations. It is the voice for the united kingdom of God's body of workers in the vineyard here on earth. This magazine is the discussion leader of any topic concerning the kingdom of God and the ware fare of God's people. Here you will see and post the work you do for the kingdom daily in your part of the vineyard. However it should be clear that every work you see here is the responsibility/views of the writer who placed it there and not always necessarily the views of everyone. It is a medium to serve as an encourager for the Shepherds around the world who are striving to get the truth of God's Word out even at a risk to their own families and lives. As a spotlight, we intend to also serve as a ground inspector of the work of every ministry we can and highlight their strengths and weaknesses.

Shepherds, we say a big welcome to you and your flocks. Let this place be a companion and knowledge dispenser, a place where you can rest and discover your God given talents, your historian where you can view the past and log the present, the nurturer of your visions, your opportunities spotter, and critic. I know many times when you are in the wrong and we speak about it, you might be hurt, go home and pray about it, and please come for a second look. Partake and make this place a home away from home. Peggy W. Lester is ordained through Faith Christian Fellowship International located in Indiana. She is a short-term Christian missionary, teacher and writer. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian counseling and is a 2009 graduate of She speaks, a Proverbs 31 Ministry based in North Carolina. Peggy’s heart was “captured for missions” by the Lord in 1980. Since then she has traveled locally and abroad speaking about the Lord and being His disciple. She uses humor, boldness and the Word of God to share the message of Christ. Peggy believes, “we are all ministers of the Gospel; some can travel far, all should serve near, and all can pray and share their resources.” Peggy and her husband, Don, have ministered to young adults for many years. Mentoring young couples is very close to her heart. She will touch your heart as she shares personally, as well as, sharing her international travels and local missions. She serves at a local ministry called the Warehouse of Hope when she is at home. This ministry meets the needs of approximately 1,000 people a week with food and clothing. Wherever she goes her desire is carry the “fragrance of Christ” and to share passionately about her love for the Lord and His love for all people. Peggy and Don, her husband of nearly 46 years, have two married sons and five grandchildren. They currently reside west of Atlanta, Georgia. When she is not traveling, she enjoys watching her granddaughter cheer for the High School and spends many hours watching the four grandsons play sports.

Pastor Peter PAYE is a Liberian missionary in Senegal. He works with DONE Mission ( Pastor Peter PAYE served as the Director of the Senegal Theological Bible College for over four years. He has been appointed as the Coordinator of Strategy and Church planting. He will be working with Church Planters in Liberia, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Sierra Lone and Ivory Coast.

BOLDLY DECLARING THE GOSPEL Isaiah 8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. SONS OF GOD are a marvel in heaven and are set to be manifested in signs and wonders here on earth. Make no mistakes about it: If you have believed in CHRIST, you are a son of glory; and that wonder is well known in heaven. The LORD HIMSELF revealed that the heavenly hosts rejoice when one sinner repents: Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. When you believe the LORD JESUS, something of profound spiritual significance is born in the spiritual realm. It doesn’t matter how and where you get convicted to believe; regardless whether it is a world class evangelist like Billy Graham or Benny Hinn that leads you to salvation or whether it is some unknown family relative, friend, stranger, or even enemy, the conviction of faith records a glorious birth that is the toast of heaven, the marvel of angels, and the greatest delight of the FATHER, GOD ALMIGHTY.

Few realize the weight of this glory and many make light of this amazing conviction. Indeed, unbeknownst to many is the profound wealth of spiritual detail that accompanies the call of salvation: For one, a soul has been saved from eternal damnation. In of itself, the privilege of salvation is mind boggling because it also implies the exclusive privilege that men have to this honor. When you think that no fallen angel, no demon, not even Lucifer himself, was found worthy of salvation, then you begin to grapple with the marvelous benefit of salvation. Further than that is the sheer implication of what has been escaped: Salvation denotes a passing from judgment and condemnation to life eternal which is quite a wonder considering that many shall perish. The fact that you have been considered above fallen angels, above demons, above the devil himself; the fact that you have been called of GOD, chosen of HIM, to be forever with HIM, and worthy to escape judgment is a wonder that should be forever celebrated. But something else more amazing occurs when we believe in CHRIST; something that pertains to our heritage as divine beings with sovereign worth. To this glorious regard, the apostle John makes the immortal point worthy of meditation by every saint: John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. The one that has believed in CHRIST, received HIM into their life, ceases to be just another of GOD’s creatures; such a one becomes a divine person included in the sovereign deity of the GOD ALMIGHTY in no less an enviable capacity as that of son, a dignified family member of the GOD-HEAD eternal. This spiritual dynamic was beyond the imagination of the prophets who declared them without perceiving what they said; it amazes the angels in heaven, it staggers their understanding so much that they ponder over this glorious salvation:

1Peter 1:10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 1Peter 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. 1Peter 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. The one that believes is given power, absolute, immeasurable, sovereign, indisputable power to be called a son of GOD. AWESOME!!!!! What that means is that faith in CHRIST raises you above any measure of doubt, critic, scrutiny, scorn, mockery, above every of condemnation, ridicule, above every being on earth, in heaven, or under the earth. Every believer in CHRIST has this power; this power that quickens them from being who they were before they believed into a whole new person distinguished from their past and uniquely privileged over and above all others that have not believed. The believer has power to be called by all other beings, a son of the HIGHEST. Beloved, you believe in CHRIST then angels know you as a son of GOD; all beings in heaven identify you as one of the family of the divine deity; all devils reckon you to be a sovereign divine entity. And what is more? There is a power at work in you that is able to affirm this divine identity. Your sonship is not merely a confession you make because it is proper to do so nor is it merely a label you receive by virtue of your faith. It’s a lot more than that.

YOU HAVE RECIVED POWER FROM ABOVE to prove your authenticity in glory, seated at the right hand of the FATHER. Your claim to this glory is true, valid, and accepted in heaven by GOD HIMSELF and the heavenly hosts that serve the kingdom of heaven. But here on earth where darkness reigns over the hearts of men, your sonship, your claim to royal divinity, to being a sovereign being that the FATHER has included in HIS divine PERSON just as much as HE and CHRIST are ONE, is hidden. To reveal this, HE has apportioned you to be followed by a series of signs and wonders. It is for this reason that HE acclaims you to be for signs and wonders through the Prophet Isaiah. Beloved, GOD has given you the HOLY SPIRIT without measure so that you can prove your authenticity as a bona fide son of HIS. I think that is amazing. The HOLY SPIRIT does not indwell you merely for you to be more religious than others nor is HE immeasurably given to you so that you become a better Christian or better mannered person. HE dwells in you for more serious reasons than religion or good manners can afford. The HOLY SPIRIT is in you to reveal GOD through you, to make you a reflection of HIS glory and wonder, to make manifest with signs and wonders the very essence of who GOD is. Wow!!!! I think that is wonderful; look at you; you are a sign board of wonders making known to all that GOD has you for a son. Yes, your life is destined by GOD to cause and make known HIS praises. That is a serious responsibility in a perverse generation which doubts the very reality of GOD. When men curse divinity, when they criticize CHRIST and make nuisance of HIS eternal sacrifice, GOD is counting on you, not the angels, not the heavens, not any other being, GOD is counting on you to prove HIM to your generation. I say that the days of debates with hard headed men that do not know better are over. These are days of power because we have the power and are able to demonstrate it. We have all it takes to prove the glory of GOD with signs and wonders. When GOD sent Moses to Pharaoh, HE did not send him to argue and logically persuade that heathen unbeliever to acknowledge HIS existence. A thousand times NO!!!!!

GOD sent Moses to work signs and wonders that would marvel Pharaoh and humble Egypt to believe in HIM. HE also sent Elijah with signs and wonders by which he was able to bring a perverse Israel to repentance. The same can be said about his successor, Elisha. Whenever GOD found a hard hearted people that HE sought to bring to the knowledge of HIS glory, HE sent a man with signs and wonders. The same can be observed when our LORD JESUS showed up; HE walked with signs and wonders. Everywhere HE went, HE caused many to marvel till even HIS own skeptics and critics were confused, debating among themselves whether HIS Messianic claims were disputable considering the signs and HE performed: John 10:19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. John 10:20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him? John 10:21 Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind? And when they queried HIS claims, HE dared them to believe according to the signs HE worked: John 10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. John 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.


Beloved, signs and wonders are essential to our claims as sons of GOD. We must reject a faith that names CHRIST and denies wonders. Even the early church knew better and when they prayed in the midst of strong persecution from the enemy, they called on GOD to show signs and wonders which they knew would authenticate their ministry and the gospel they were commissioned to present: Act 4:26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. Act 4:27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, Act 4:28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. Act 4:29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, Act 4:30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. When people wonder how is it the early Church walked in signs and wonders, I often say that was because they were keen on these things; they knew how valid signs were to their message and their claim to being sons of GOD. Today, we live in a perverse generation that cares nothing about GOD. what is quite sad is that we have more that world in the Church than the Church (as She should be) in the world. Most believers, even ministers are not mindful of spiritual gifts and their relevance in authenticating our claims to being sons of GOD. When ministers teach, they spend most of their time stirring the flesh rather than awakening the spirit; and when saints pray, they seek after the same things that heathens seek.

It is this perversion and confusion that has clouded most believers from reckoning who they are as sons of GOD. Permit me to assure you that this trend must end, and will end, because CHRIST is soon coming back and HE coming for a Church that is flowing in signs and wonders. Yes, JESUS CHRIST is still the same yesterday, today, and forever more (Hebrews 13:8). If HE worked signs yesterday when HE lived amongst us in Israel; if HE worked signs yesterday when HE lived through the lives of the early Church; well, HE is still the same today and is still present in us to work signs and wonders. HE still makes cripples walk, heals broken hearts, opens the eyes of the blind, sets captives free, casts out devils, opens deaf ears, looses tied tongues, raises the dead; and what is more, HE is willing and able even to do through you greater signs and wonders that the world may marvel. Observe with reverend regard HIS assurance to this regard: John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Oh yes; you are a messenger of GOD, an ambassador of the FATHER, a witness to the resurrected CHRIST, a royal priest wielding all the power of heaven and earth, mandated to work signs and wonders; even to demonstrate this glory in greater measure than our LORD did when HE ministered here on earth. Precious and I are delighted to share this word of faith with you. We rejoice because we know that this witness is breaking wrong mentalities and perverse religious notions that have hindered you from manifesting the glory of GOD. We also rejoice because we pray for you in faith to work signs and wonders, to walk into the great works that the FATHER purposed from the foundations of the world that you should walk in them.

As we carry THE CROSS AND THE BLOOD CAMPAIGN around the world; as we preach this eternal message of our redemption and salvation, we declare this glory with signs and wonders. We rejoice because so many people have met us face-to-face and encountered signs when they did. Just last week, we were at a wonderful church here in Nairobi, Kenya declaring the word with boldness and healing all that were sick in the power of the SPIRIT. We do this everywhere we go; we speak with power and demonstrate wonders. Indeed, soon, we are set on having several of our meetings made available on our sites (including streaming live events) so that we can make the word of CHRIST available both in writ and also in power. It is often amazing when people write to us and testify on how they have been miraculously healed or a loved one they knew was healed or delivered as they read our books. It is amazing that the word that we write and communicate carries this dunamis working wonder that impacts lives and blesses people everywhere. Beloved, signs and wonders are a blessing; and Precious and I are delighted to be a blessing. We refuse to hinder the word or hide it under a bushel. A thousand times NO!!!! Instead, we are determined to make the word available in every possible way because in spreading the word, we send signs and wonders around the world. That is why all our books are FREE on our sites; that is why we refuse to charge for the word. How much would we charge for signs and wonders? How much shall we cost what GOD has freely given us to share with all men? Beloved, our gospel, our worship music (which is soon also going to be available for FREE), are NEVER for sale. They are immortal communications, divine deliberations, dynamic supernatural signs and wonders that are above what money can buy. In all that we say, we declare to you as one that has been approved by GOD. We see you as our masters and are obliged to see your victory in any and every circumstance.

So we refuse to consider you as normal and natural and even human; we see you above that temporal measure and count you as one with GOD, able to do all that HE is able to do because you function with HIS SPIRIT and are ONE eternally with HIM. Just as HE was with JESUS, so is HE with you. GOD is with you in greater measure than HE was with Moses or even Elijah because they were servants in HIS house while you are a son in HIS house. HE has given you more power and authority to do more, accomplish more, and demonstrate more. You, my dear, are a son of the HIGHEST, created for signs and wonders!!!!! Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. Psalm 43:5

Hope - "a feeling of expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen: grounds for believing that something good may happen": (Oxford Dictionary). The worst prognosis you could ever receive over your health, over your life are the words, "There is no hope"; there is nothing more that can be done". Nothing can deal a harsher blow, is more crushing, more depressing and hopeless. Scripture says, Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is like a tree of life. Losing or having no hope is tantamount to uprooting a tree, disconnecting it from its source of nourishment, leaving it to wither and die. Hopelessness affects our core, our belief-system. When the heart is sick, it impacts negatively on our entire being. Proverbs 4:23 cautions, "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life" "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks" Matt: 12:34

So what happens to us when we lose hope, be it in our job, our home, our marriage, our society, our world? We lose our joy, we're no longer happy. When we lose the things that help sustain us, like our humour, our joy, our laughter, our smile - then we are doomed to gloom. "A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit" Proverbs 15:13. We become downcast and subdued, depressed and alienated. It's not easy to get ones hope up again. Sadly many take to substances and behaviours that numb and compound the pain. But this option is temporary, once morning comes, when reality sets in we're back exactly where we begun. The Psalmist David wrestled with the weight of disillusionment, "Why so downcast O' my soul!?" Hope in God! He encouraged himself, sometimes we have to take a hold of our disappointment and weariness, and speak ourselves out of it. "For I shall yet Praise Him for He is the health of my countenance, and my God!" David's hope began to rise when he detracted from his feelings and re-focused on God. He came to realization, that the only one to help him out of his stupor was his God. David determined that he would yet praise Him, that his condition was not going to alter his relationship with God. That despite how he felt, he recognized and diagnosed that it was God who would restore his joy, his strength, his countenance and disposition.

Your worship and your praise offering changes the atmosphere your situation and your wellbeing. You needn't wait on anyone else, except God. Those who wait on Him shall be renewed and strengthened. The joy of the Lord is your strength! Your Hope is in Him. Hope is Faiths twin, they're potent and compelling when they work together. "Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen!" You are going to have to expect more, become expectant, and realize that your current condition does not define who you truly are. That you need to hope again and yes to place your Hope in the God of all Hope! "But if we hope for what we don't see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance" Romans 8:25. This is the beauty of the Christian walk, we hope in all seasons on all occasions, in the good times and the bad. We endure with patience. We come to realize that weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning! That He takes our mourning and turns it into dancing. Encourage yourself, speak over your circumstances and hinge your Hope in Him who is the health of your countenance. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful!


May you be not only challenged but inspired and encouraged as you read ! ICH'A-BOD.......HAS THE GLORY OF YAHWEH DEPARTED ? "Then it happened, when he made mention of the ark of God, that Eli fell off his seat backward by the side of the gate; and his neck was broken and he died, for the man was old and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years. (19) " Now his daughter-in-law, Phinehas' wife, was with child, due to be delivered; and when she heard the news that the ark of God was captured, and that her father-in-law and her husband was dead, she bowed herself and gave birth, for her labor pains came upon her. (20) " And about the time of her death the women who stood by her said to her, " Do not fear, for you have borne a son.

" But she did not answer, nor did she regard it. (21) " Then she named the child Ich'a-bod, saying . " The glory has departed from Israel! " because the ark of God has been captured and because of her father-in-law and her husband. " (22) " And she said, " The glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured. " 1 Samuel 4:18-22. NKJV. You may ask, What was it that caused these tragic events to happen ? The answer is resounding from the book of 1 Samuel chapter two. Eli, the priest had two sons, and they were wicked. partaking in priestly duties yet they knew not God. Read verse sixteen of 1 Samuel 2. (16) " And if the man said to him, " They should really burn the fat first; then you may take as much as your heart desires," he would then answer him, "No, but you must give it now; and if not, I will take it by force. " (17) " Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD, for men abhorred the offering of the LORD. " Elli's sons were so presumptuous in their sins. Read it for yourself from verse (22) " Now Eli was very old; and he heard everything his sons did to all Israel, and how they lay with the women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. " Take note Eli did not remove his sons from partaking in the holy things of Yahweh. Instead he gave them a light rebuke. Verse (23) " So he said to them, " Why do you such things ? For I hear of your evil from all the people. " (24) " No, my sons! For it is not a good report that I hear. You make the LORD'S people to transgress. " It is very sad that even though Eli, the priest knew his sons were not saved, not withstanding they were doing wickedness. Eli still allowed them to partake in the holy things of God.

This grieved the heart of God. Verse (27) " Then a man of God came to Eli and said to him, " Thus says the LORD, " Did I not clearly reveal Myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house ? (29) " Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering which I have commanded in My dwelling place, and honor your sons more than Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all offering of Israel My people ? " In our daily walk with Yahweh, we must take inventory of our lives. For you and I could be partaking of the holy things of God, yet still practicing presumptuous sins. The thing is, we may have been practicing it for so long; we may have become like Elli's two sons Hoph'ni and Phin'e-has.....We may have become so comfortable in it. yet as you and I can see as we gather together as a people of Yahweh in assemblies all across the globe. Singing, shouting, dancing before the LORD. Yet no power, hardly anyone is getting healed, and delivered. Many people are getting saved and turning back to sin. Could it be Ich'a-bod, the glory of Yahweh has departed ? Eli honored his sons more than God. Are you and I honoring man, more than God ? Could it be that men and women are partaking in the holy things of God and is presumptuously practicing sin ? BEWARE ! You and I could be worshiping and partaking of the holy things of God, and fail to recognize that HIS PRESENCE is not there ! Could it be ICH'A-BOD, HAS THE GLORY OF YAHWEH DEPARTED ?

Text. Judges 6:11-16 (1-16) Introduction: Roughly two hundred after Joshua defeated Jericho, his armies swept across most of Palestine, taking territory and establishing their power over the Canaanite occupants under God guidance. Those were difficulty days but victory was in the air, because the Lord of Israel was their God, He was their king, He was their governor and commander. But the next two hundred years seen a terrible turn around. God wanted the attention of these people but they subverted in idol worship, in order word, they forgot God and as a result they were plundered. In Judges Chapter 6 we find the children of Israel under the oppression of the Midianites and Amalekites.

So the next seven years, were tormenting years for Israel by the Midianites. The Hebrews fled to the mountains and were hiding in caves and strongholds. The Hebrews tried to provide for themselves by sowing seed for harvest, but when the harvest was ready the Midianites and Amalekites moved in and seized their harvest. At that time Israel could not use the regular threshing floors for fear of their enemies attacking them. Israel had no grapes to make wine because the Enemies had taken all the vineyards, so Gideon knew that they would not look for him in the wine press. Do now see why he was threshing wheat in the winepress?

So for seven years God allow the Midianites to devastate the Israelites. Their invasion was so massive, unmerciful that Israel was driven underground. Men had to hide under ground to find food for their family. Hope was dead, morale

was low. The hold nation was bankrupt. They were bankrupt emotionally They were bankrupt spiritually, and economically. This was a people driven underground. Has life situation driven you underground? Is it your marriage, family or financial problem. There is hope and your cry for help will be heard, because He is always watching, waiting and willing to reach out to men in the depths of their need. Let me draw attention to something very important about this book call Judges.

In Genesis 49:8-12, we see that before Jacob death, the bible tells us how he called his sons together and bless them. In verse 10, he said that "the scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs and the obedience of the nations is his�. We see here that this was not the case. It took over 400 years before the house of Judah to her place of leadership through David. Why? Because of Judah sin with Tamar. There was no need of this book; because of sin we have the book of Judges. Three things we want to draw your mind to in this message: I. Gideon a man of little Courage (6.11-14) Gideon lived in Ophrah, a village in Manasseh. Ophrah meaning dustiness or the dusty place. But done forget that Manasseh was the name of Joseph first son meaning, God has made me forget all the trouble of my father household. Joseph has gone through all of the suffering and pains, yet he was still faithful to God. God who is faithful remember Joseph and lifted him to the throne of Egypt. This was why he named his son Manasseh. Manasseh was to be a place of comfort, a place of beauty. But we see that in this place where it was said that God has roll away shame, pain and sorry, is a town meaning dustiness.

When something is dusty, it lacks attraction. When something is dusty, it is sign of being forgotten. But it was in this dusty place that God visited him. No matter your condition, in this month of July a miracle will come your way in Jesus name. God will visit you for the betterment of your tomorrow in Jesus name. In his difficulty moment the divine visitor was watching him. In verse 12, when the angle of the Lord appeared to Gideon he said; the Lord is with you mighty warrior, how? Gideon may have asked? Gideon is bitter, discouraged and blames God for all their troubles. Yet God still sent an angle, this month He will sent your angle that will bring you to a place of fulfillment. "The Lord is with you�. Gideon asked; where are all the miracles our fathers told us about. I heard about how you held the sun and the moon still for Joshua. I heard how you parted the red Sea for Moses. I heard how you led your people through the wilderness. But the angle said the lord is with you mighty warrior. Anyone with eyes to see could know that he was no mighty man of valor, fearless warriors did not hid from the enemy in winepresses. They did not beat out a bit of grain in secret shame.

Gideon from all indication does not seem happy with such greeting. But the good news is that the angel of the Lord didn’t see Gideon in his present situation. The angel of the Lord saw what Gideon could become. "The Lord is with you mighty warrior.� Whatever your situation, the Lord sees great potential in you. The Lord Sees Positive Potential in Every one of us. You may be face with issue in your, ministry, family, business or even at your working places. But remember that God see something positive in you and your children. Gideon lack the courage needed for the task at hand, he could only see today. The angle of the Lord was looking beyond his today in to his tomorrow. II. Gideon a man with little Status (6.15-16) The problem with Gideon is that he is youngest son of the poorest family, of the weakest tribe in Israel. In the life and mission of Gideon we see that God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. In the person of Gideon we see there is strength in weakness.

When we see how God uses Gideon, you will realize that God also can use you for His purposes. The tribe of Manasseh was by no means a mighty military force in Israel like Ephraim and Judah. He said Iam the youngest, a statement of his limitation and position. But as child of God you must get beyond this point, God does not consult our pass to determine our future. You have a source that is greater than you. Gideon thought affected his faith as you can read 36-40. My brothers and sister, whatever the situation, I want you to know that you are somebody in God’s eyes. You are not a mistake, so stop feeling sorrow for yourself. You can make it through that problem.

III. Gideon a man with the Spirit of God (6.16 Zechariah 4.6) The Lord redirected Gideon attention and focused it on a challenge greater than anything Gideon had ever seen or known. May your en-contact with God this month change your life. He lifted the young man’s eye from a handful of grain to a gigantic conquest of the enemy and to the salvation of a hold nation. "Gideon, go”! It was a dynamic command. A divine imperative! Gideon, I am here; the Lord God of Israel is with you. I am present to preserve and empower you. This is your might’s. Go in the strength of the Lord and save Israel from the Midianites. Iam with you! If God is with you, victory is on your side. If God is with you, success is no your side If God is with you, breakthrough is on your side If God is with you, prosperity is on your side If God is with you, salvation is on your side

If God is with you, healing is on your side God will exceed your expectations this month in Jesus name! He’ll take you places that you’ve never dreamed and give you breakthrough that once seemed impossible. CONCLUSION God is looking for a Gideon today. Gideon gives us all hope that we too can be winners even when we think we are weak and powerless. Through Christ we can be more than conquerors! May the lord almighty give you grace this month in all your undertaking. May you never be lacking in courage and faith. God bless you in Jesus name.


You have heard me say that into each life a little rain must fall. Sometimes we look out to see if the sun is shining and it seems to be sooo cloudy. And then , sometimes when it rains, we want it to hurry up and stop so we can go out and get some sun shine. But, if we give it some careful thought, we need the rain to fall so that plants, flowers, trees can grow and blossom forth and show forth their beauty. Well, we know that the seeds must be planted in the ground first. Then, we must water the plants and flowers, especially if it doesn't rain. God gave man the authority since the beginning with Adam, to take care of HIS creation. So, we for the most part, know it's our responsibility. Yet, some are not doing so. There are some folk who would have nice lawns with flowers growing all around, but they refuse to take time out to water their yard and therefore the plants and flowers wither. The trees branches start to breaking off and falling when they don't get water to nurture them. The bottom line is, some care and others don't! But, I believe God will hold man responsible if they don't care for HIS garden since He left man in charge.

Now, we understand about the physical garden and how that flowers and plants need watering and nurturing. We eat physical food every day in order that we might stay healthy. Or at least, most want to stay alive so they will eat something to keep them alive. You might be one who is too busy to really eat right, such as start out with breakfast and then, also drink water, juice, and milk, etc. because it's a known face that we all need a certain amount of fruits, vegetables, and drink plenty water and other nutrient drinks. We know this, but don't do it always. Instead some tell themselves that they don't have time for breakfast, And then because the course of the day is going rapidly, they may grab a sandwich from a fast food restaurant or maybe not. Then, when they're day is over and they go home, they may not feel like cooking (the woman of the household); so, they either order out and it may be pizza .

That's not the healthiest meal a person should eat, either.So now, what about our spiritual bodies? How many take time out of their busy schedules to feed their spiritual bodies ? OH, that's right....toooo busy, huh? Well , then you find yourself procrastinating....then when the time of day comes that you promised yourself that you would read, you find other chores to do or you may just be too tired to read. But, what about partaking of the "bread of life" that shall give you strength and power ot press on . The meat of the word will also out do what physical meat does. It's eternal food that last forever that we need to partake of. Physical food , once it has digested, shall go down into the draught. But, that spiritual meat and bread will keep you full and well satisfied. And we need a replenishing of the water from heaven that quenches our thirst. That's right, we need to pray for the Lord to give us a fresh, new anointing. Just say, "Lord, fill me up until I overflow." He will take pleasure in giving us a "new filling" of His Holy Spirit also. He said, " you have not because you asked not. Now is the time to take time out of your busy schedule and if you feel that you are due a blessing that you have been praying for a long time and yet haven't recieved, you must consider whether or not that you have done your level best to eat righteous food and drink from the fountain of righteousness and holiness. We must have a filling now and again because just as the MERCIES of GOD are fresh every morning, He wants us to have FRESH ANOINTING AND A FRESH NEW FILLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. By eating the "spiritual food ", which is the word of God then we can begin to see the growth in our own selves. We must be willing to do so and a prompt to do it doer of the word and not just a hearer.

Now one sure way that a flower or plant will die is for them not to get watered and placed in sunlight for a short while, as well. So, Saints, what about your very soul? Are you not concerned that you won't have the strength in these last and evil times? Satan is all powered up and has his demons ready to take action; he came but to KILL, STEAL, AND DESTROY THE CHILDREN OF GOD. But, JESUS SAID, "I CAME, THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE LIFE AND THAT MORE ABUNDANTLY." So, whose report will you believe? I believe and receive the report of the Lord. He's my rock. His word gives me the strength I need to go from day to day and keep my hope alive for a better tomorrow for those of us who have planted, watered, pruned, purged, and pulled up the weeds that are too close around us.....we will see how the Lord shall bless us to blossom forth as beautiful flowers in HIS garden.

We told ourselves that in the winter months, it was too cold to go forth. And God understood that we are human and we would need to stay inside more in the winter months of our lives, not only physically, but spiritually He would want us to stay consecrated in HIs loving arms of protection. In the Fall, we may say, the leaves are falling down all around us in the natural, but also in the spiritual. That simply means that there are problems and situations that are falling down around us and we don't know, sometimes, what we need to do. So we need to pause and seek the Lord's face about what direction we need to take and what the Lord will have us to do about any given situation. And He will , all the time, be purging us, pruning us, and preparing us that we may be ready to blossom forth in HIS name and represent His goodness and His mercy to HIS people. Now, if a plant has not been planted right , like deep enough into the soil, it won't grow. If it hasn't been watered often enough or there has been a draught season, the plant will wither and die also. So, as I said people of God, you must feed your spiritual body every bit as much as you do your physical body. And then, just watch God move in your behalf. You will be glad if you have done all your planting and watering your spiritual body ,,so that when Spring will hear the Lord say, "IT'S TIME FOR THOSE FLOWERS TO BLOSSOM FORTH." The Set Time Has Come - Favor! Favor! Favor! : ADDED BY SUSAN C. CLARK

The Set Time Has Come You will arise [and] have mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come. [Psalm 102:13 ] I love this passage of Scripture. Of course I say that about every Scripture the Lord is revealing to me. I wanted to take a moment and share a few passages with you and thoughts about the favor of the Lord. Favor is an incredible blessing from the Lord. God's favor is one of the greatest things you can have upon you. It is the supernatural touch of God upon your life and work. Favor marks your life as special. It causes you and your entire life to be lifted up above the ordinary and stand out: For You are the glory of their strength, and in Your favor our horn is exalted. Psalm 89:17 Divine favor is the key to true and lasting success. Therefore, we should pray for favor and receive it by faith. Please know that God desires to bless us with favor. I entreated Your favor with my whole heart; be merciful to me according to Your word. Psalm 119:58

In Psalm 102:13 (see above), Zion represents the Church. Notice that the set time for favor has come! Not just any time, but the set time. In looking up the words "set time" in the Hebrew, the Blue Letter Bible describes the meaning as: 1) Appointed place, appointed time, meeting a) Appointed time 1) Appointed time (general) 2) Sacred season, set feast, appointed season b) Appointed meeting c) Appointed place d) Appointed sign or signal e) Tent of meeting This is very powerful. An appointed time, place, meeting! Let's go one step further. "Appointed" means a pre-determined or set appointment. I hope you catch this. In a set time, the Lord will favor Zion! And that time has come! Wow! I could write pages and pages of passages and thoughts about favor. Favor! For instance, Psalm 5:12 says, For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as [with] a shield. We see favor is a shield that surrounds you. It is not just positioned in front of you, but it surrounds you. Look at Psalm 89:17, For You [are] the glory of their strength, and in Your favor our horn is exalted. Here are a couple more Scriptures: May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us – yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17 In the light of the king's face [is] life, and his favor [is] like a cloud of the latter rain. Proverbs 16:15 We can see in these few Scriptures that favor is a wonderful blessing from the Lord. We pray this releases a hunger in your heart so that you ask and believe for God's favor for your life. Favor! Favor! Favor!

The Fourth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays. When I was a child it was a day of anticipation, knowing Mom and Dad would take us outside the city to park in a spot with just the perfect (FREE!) view of the evening’s fireworks. Other families parked on each side of us, and we kids had a ball. As I got older I came to appreciate the freedoms represented by this great holiday, as well as the price paid by so many to secure those freedoms. I’m among the first to stand at the sound of our National Anthem, proudly placing my hand over my heart and giving thanks that I have been so privileged to be born and raised in the “land of the free and the home of the brave.” But who do I thank at that moment? Those who pledged their lives, their fortunes, literally everything they had to establish this country in the beginning? The brave men and women who have fought (many laying down their lives in the process) since the country’s inception to protect our way of life? Yes to all, and gladly so! But ultimately it is the One who hides us under the shadow of His wings, the great and sovereign God of Israel, who mercifully extends His favor and blessing upon us and enables us to live as a free people.

Ruth, a Moabitess and a foreigner in the land of Israel, switched her allegiance from her pagan roots to follow the one true God. She submitted to His authority and trusted in His care. The Lord God of Israel, who is faithful to His Word and His promises, blessed her accordingly. As we celebrate whatever freedoms we enjoy today, may we not forget that we experience those freedoms only because we have come under His wings for refuge—and that when we reject that refuge and start believing we can secure those freedoms on our own, we will quickly learn otherwise. May God continue to bless us, wherever we live, as we continue to take refuge in Him!

The things which are not seen… 2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV In our Christian pilgrimage, it is well, for the most part, to be looking forward. Forward lies the crown, and onward is the goal. Whether it be for hope, for joy, for consolation, or for the inspiring of our love, the future must, after all, be the grand object of the eye of faith. Looking into the future, we see sin cast out, the body of sin and death destroyed, the soul made perfect and fit to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. Looking further yet, the believer’s enlightened eye can see death’s river passed, the gloomy stream forded, and the hills of light attained on which stands the celestial city; he sees himself enter within the pearly gates, hailed as more than conqueror, crowned by the hand of Christ, embraced in the arms of Jesus, glorified with Him, and made to sit together with Him on His throne, even as He overcome and has sat down with the Father on His throne.

The thought of this future may well relieve the darkness of the past and the gloom of the present. The joy of heaven will surely compensate for the sorrows of earth. Hush, my fears! This world is but a narrow span, and you shall soon have passed it. Hush, hush, my doubts! Death is but a narrow stream, and you shall soon have forded it. Time, how short—eternity, how long! Death, how brief— immortality, how endless! The road is so, so short! I shall soon be there. Reflections: As I/we ponder on these words my/our eye’s understanding sees what lies before me/us. As a believer this has enlighten my hope and future.

As I envision, the Prize, my heart radiates with gleams of joy as the glow of the Prize embrace my life. I use to fear the unknown and unseen. Now I long for it to come in due season. My/our Lord God, Christ Jesus arms wrapped around me/us as I/we sit in the lap of my/our Abba-Father on His throne. "Hush, my fears! This world is but a narrow span, and you shall soon have passed it. Hush, hush, my doubts! Death is but a narrow stream, and you shall soon have forded it. Time, how short—eternity, how long! Death, how brief—immortality, how endless! The road is so, so short! I shall soon be there.” WOW!!!!!! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!! Glory, is God’s, for this glorious day to come. Amen!!! A little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with Twinkies and a six-pack of Root Beer and he started his journey.  When he had gone about three blocks, he met an elderly man. The man was sitting in the park just feeding some pigeons.  The boy sat down next to him and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the man looked hungry, so he offered him a Twinkie.

 The man gratefully accepted it and smiled at boy. His smile was so pleasant that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered him a root beer. Again, the man smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word. As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave, but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the man, and gave him a hug. The man gave him his biggest smile ever.

ďżź When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, "What did you do today that made you so happy?

"He replied, "I had lunch with God." But before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? God's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!"

Meanwhile, the elderly man, also radiant with joy, returned to his home. His son was stunned by the look of peace on his face and he asked," Dad, what did you do today that made you s

He replied, "I ate Twinkies in the park with God." However, before his son responded, he added," You know, he's much younger than I expected."

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all equally! ~author unknown~

A few months ago, I had the privilege of studying out and penning a note from God our Father, on true repentance, actually called "True Repentance”. Imagine my surprise when God said; "we’re going to revisit this; there is something I want made known to those who say they have, but have not”. What if God got in your face and told you, you have not fully repented, nor is what you did anything more than remorse, I can’t speak for anyone else, but I would be quaking in my boots. REPENT'ANCE, n. 1. Sorrow for any thing done or said; the pain or grief which a person experiences in consequence of the injury or inconvenience produced by his own conduct. 2. In theology, the pain, regret or affliction which a person feels on account of his past conduct, because it exposes him to punishment.

This sorrow proceeding merely from the fear of punishment, is called legal repentance, as being excited by the terrors of legal penalties, and it may exist without an amendment of life. 3. Real penitence; sorrow or deep contrition for sin, as an offense and dishonor to God, a violation of his holy law, and the basest ingratitude towards a Being of infinite benevolence. This is called evangelical repentance, and is accompanied and followed by amendment of life. Repentance is a change of mind, or a conversion from sin to God.

REMORSE, n. remors'. [L. remorsus, from remordeo.]

1. The keen pain or anguish excited by a sense of guilt; compunction of conscience for a crime committed. 2. Sympathetic sorrow; pity; compassion. Pay close attention to the #2 definition of remorse, as this is what God said is what we call repentance, but He calls fake! God wants each of us to "check� ourselves, examine ourselves and our motives, even ask God to show us the truth and reality of our hearts. CHECK, v.t.

1. To stop; to restrain; to hinder; to curb. It signifies to put an entire stop to motion, or to restrain its violence, and cause an abatement; to moderate. 2. To rebuke; to chide or reprove.


1. A stop; hindrance; rebuff; sudden restraint, or continued restraint; curb; control; government. 2. That which stops or restrains, as reproof, reprimand, rebuke, slight or disgust, fear, apprehension, a person; any stop or obstruction. What we call repentance, God calls fake! Not such nice words to hear, especially given the source from where these words come from. We say we go to God and repent of our sins, but what if all we’re truly doing is going to an empty idea of what God is, and saying we’re sorry, or whatever choice of words we use, but the truth is, it’s all vain words. The measure of repentance isn’t so much going to an invisible entity, but rather the person or persons we wronged and making it right. If you read the note "True Repentance”, you would know that God tells us in His Word, we actually complete the action of repentance when we make things right with our fellow man. We say we repented, but have we, have we gone to those we’ve caused harm to and done all we can to make things right with them and by God? Have we treated God our Father like He’s a real person, and honored Him, by making things right with those we’ve hurt? If we went to our brother or sister to make things right, we would show a humble spirit, not only to those seeing our actions, but to God our Father as well. God, our Father says it’s one thing to say you’re sorry to an invisible entity, but it’s humbling to have to go to a human being, not only asking for forgiveness, but trying to repair the damage done. Mat 18:12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?

Mat 18:13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Mat 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. Luk 15:4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? Luk 15:5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. Luk 15:6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. Luk 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Do we really know who it is that Jesus spoke about needing the repentance? If you’re unwilling to humble yourselves and make things right with those you’ve caused harm to, then you have not truly repented. If you have not done what God has told you to do, you need to check yourselves, even asking God to show you, the hurtful and wicked ways in you. Psa 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: Psa 139:24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Now we know, now we have no more excuses, now we must make things right. Let us be pleasing to our Father, as Jesus pleased Him and be fully about our Father’s business. 29 Tips to a Happy Marriage : BY KAREN ZEIGLER

It was June 25, 1983 (29 years ago today) that I married my high school sweetheart, best friend and love of my life. Most days I still feel as happy and as in love as I did then. Even though we’ve had our near misses on the "D” word, more than a handful of stupid decisions and our fair share of financial difficulties I’d say we are still going strong and definitely a lot wiser. So what has kept us going all these years? It took me a while to come up with 29 tips but after asking my husband and daughter here’s what has helped us along the way. Some tips are from classes we’ve taken over the years, some have come from friends, some we’ve learned the hard way through our mistakes but it’s what has worked for us. Keep God at the center of your marriage – Like most kids raised in church we walked away from our faith the first couple years we were married. It wasn’t until we were on the verge of divorce that a co-worker asked my husband "what had changed?”. The biggest thing that had changed was that we had stopped going to church. We took that advice and started going back to church and it’s been relatively smooth sailing ever since. 2. Take your complaints to Godnot your girlfriends – More often than not venting to our girlfriends doesn’t help matters. In fact often it elevates the frustration and stirs up other issues that you "should” be upset about. When you take your complaints to God he can provide wisdom, insight, forgiveness and a new perspective. And for the things that need changing in your husband God truly is the only one who can help. 3. Don’t settle for being treated any less than the special beautiful woman you are - As a boyfriend guys can be the most respectful guy but often after marriage they begin to test the boundaries of what they can do or say and get away with. 1.

We had one such test when we were a young married couple with friends over. His disrespect led to ketchup all over his shirt which turned into an all out food fight. It ended with lots of laughter but he got the point. 4.






When life gets boring find a new adventure to experience together - The longer you have been married the more likely you will fall into a rut or a routine that on one hand is comfortable but on another can be quite boring. This is when you know it’s time to find a new adventure. Perhaps it’s an outing for the day or a new hobby but regardless find something that gets you out of your comfort zone trying something new and different together. Date -breakfast date, lunch date, dinner date, nap date – whatever time you can steal away and connect with one another. Even snuggled together for a nap is connecting physically. Never and Always - often these words come in the form of a negative complaint. You NEVER do ______ or you ALWAYS do _______. Make a commitment to limit the use of these words only on positive affirmations towards your spouse. I’ll NEVER leave you, I’ll ALWAYS love you, you are ALWAYS so good at playing with the kids, etc. Have separate hobbies - My husband golfs, I ride horses. There are times (not often) that I will golf or he will ride. But the majority of the time these activities are consider our "me time” activities. Time to get away from the pressures of relationships, work, kids, etc. and relax. And we never complain about the others "me time”. Of course we call each other out if one of us is neglecting our relationship or family but in general "me time” is encouraged and never complained about. Apologize quickly and often -When apologizing don’t just say "I’m Sorry”. This over time can come off as insincere or disingenuous. One tip we learned and practice is to say "Please forgive me for _________”. Getting very specific about what you are apologizing for. It causes the one who offended to actually think about what they did wrong and then for the person receiving the apology it’s much more heart felt. Genuine I Love You’s – At least once a day get eye-to-eye and tell your spouse "I love you because ________”. The more specific you can be the better. Not only shows that you love them, but what you love about them or their behaviors. And that which is recognized or rewarded is often repeated.

Practice their Love Language – Learn your spouses primary love language & speak it as often as possible. Generally our love languages are opposite of our spouses and our habit is to speak in our own language. Speaking their language is hard work but worth it. 11. Pray over your spouse – I must confess that my husband and I do not pray together on a regular basis. Not that we don’t believe we should it’s just a habit that we have not been consistent about doing. However if one of us is worried about something negative that is going on or nervous about something positive that is coming up we take a few moments and hold the other and pray out loud for the person and the situation. Nothing arouses feelings of being loved more than being prayed for by your spouse in my opinion! 12. Praise the Giver – Just like with children be sure to give high praise and thankfulness to any kind gesture or gift, even if you don’t like it. How many ceramic blobs do you see on the desks of parents because they’re kids thought enough to give them a gift to show their love for them. Gifts from your spouse deserve the same adoration and praise. 13. Love & Respect - Always be respectful with your words and loving with your actions. If you notice your spouse start to pull back emotionally in a situation it’s likely that you have messed this one up. 10.

Even when it’s unintentional, stop and acknowledge that you what you said or did may have been unloving or disrespectful. 14.






Limit time with opposite sex – Aim for zero alone time with members of the opposite sex…even when it’s your spouse’s best friend. One-on-one time with other men was a challenge when I was in the corporate world but aiming for zero meant that there was seldom a time that I was alone with another man. My husband has had the same practice. It’s a practice that has given us 29 years of marriage without an affair-to-date. Today we are sure to include our virtual world as well. Already we have seen marriages challenged and several divorces that the problems started through online relationships that started innocently on Facebook. Don’t dare to compare – Don’t dare compare or you’ll end up in despair. Don’t compare spouses, families, possession, nothing. Comparison leads to discontent, discontent eventually leads to divorce. Instead focus on yourself and those elements of your marriage that are within your power to improve or change. Keep up appearances – I’m not talking about faking anything here – like keeping up the appearance that you have money when you don’t, or the appearance that your marriage is perfect when it isn’t. Keeping up those kind of appearances are tiring. Instead keep up your physical appearance & health. Not for him but for yourself. He’ll also be a benefactor. Time to Brag – Always brag on your spouse’s good qualities in front of friends, family & children and in their presence is a bonus. Again what is recognized and rewarded is often repeated. Recognize Emotions - Our emotions are momentary or more accurately temporary. There will be times when you hate (ok maybe you prefer strongly dislike) your spouse. Remember these negative emotions are temporary and the truth is "THIS TOO SHALL PASS”. Who kicked the cat - Sometimes we find our spouse in a grumpy mood and ask ourselves "What did I do?” Often times the truth is absolutely nothing. Instead of reacting grumpy in return and starting a feud that keeps you both in a bad mood all night why not try to figure out who kicked the cat. It’s likely that someone or something has put your spouse in a grumpy mood and it has nothing to do with you. However, how long they stay grumpy could have everything to do with you. One thing I learned about my husband over the years is that when he is suffering in back pain or any pain for that matter he gets really grumpy.

He may not say a word about the pain just be grumpy. Now when he’s in a grumpy mood the first question I ask him is "how’s your back feeling today?’ Even when it’s not pain a little investigative work uncovers the source of the grumpiness and helps me figure out what (if anything) I can do to help. Pay attention to your hormones – If you are a female you know what I’m talking about. PMS, menopause, emotionally out of whack. There is a reason in biblical times women would be sent outside the city gates. Although you might not be able to excuse yourself from life when hormones flair you can take intentional action to keep your mouth shut! During those "special” times we can feel the urge to strangle someone just for looking at us the wrong way. If everything is bothering you and not others then it’s likely your hormones are in control. Decide to revisit every problem or aggravation you have in a few days. Chances are they won’t even exist. 21. Be the weaker sex - Men want to be their ladies strong and courageous hero’s. Whether it’s opening a jar that’s too tight or carrying something heavy let them be your hero even when you can do it yourself. Often times Honey, I can’t ______________. I need you to help _______________ is music to their ears (not in the middle of the big game, of course). And don’t forget to praise them when they save the day. Even something as simple as squeezing their bicep when you walk holding their arm shows you recognize them as a strong man. 22. It really is that simple – What roses and chocolate do for a woman, a good meal and sex do for a man. Yes ladies, it really is that simple. 20.

You are NOT – Recognize that you are not your spouse’s Savior, Holy Spirit or conscious. Quoting scripture, buying books or telling him what he should be doing does nothing but make him feel inferior or not good enough. Instead recognize and reward that which he does well and it will often be repeated AND pray for those things that need work. God is the only one that can change the heart, mind and ultimately the behavior of your spouse. A few words – Women in an average day speak 25,000 words to men’s 10,000. However, in a disagreement this can be quite detrimental. When discussions are heated be sure to practice Proverbs 10:19 When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise. Practice Alzheimer – Do not wait until you are elderly and stricken with Alzheimer to become forgetful. Choose early to forget (and forgive) the negative events and words that have happened as the result of your spouse. Eliminate Stinkin’ Thinkin’ – When you find your thoughts about your spouse spiralling downward take out a notepad and begin making a list of all the good things about them. A great guide for the list is found in Philippians 4:8 "…Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” No "I” in Team – Whenever possible work together. Grocery shop, do dishes, fold laundry, whatever you can do together do it. My husband is a contractor and sometimes when he has to look at a job on the weekend I’ll ride along. I may not do anything more than hold the end of a tape measure or shine a flash light into a dark corner but I’m showing I want to be with him and I want to help where I can. Mind your manners – Guys are often notorious for burping, belching and other bodily noises. As funny as they think that is don’t do it! Remember who the enemy is - It is the enemy who has come to kill, steal and destroy your marriage. Often times there are misunderstanding and mistakes that would have us believe that our husband is the enemy. Truth is he loves you and is for you. Don’t be confused about who is the real enemy of your marriage.

One of the harder transitions in life is to leave the country of your birth and migrate to a foreign land. There are a variety of reasons people emigrate, each has a story to tell, but common to most is the need for a better existence, a better hope and future. When conditions are pressing and dire, then sometimes a change of location is urgent. Elimelek, Naomi and their sons were one such family who when confronted by famine in Bethlehem, set out for Moab. Tragedy struck when Naomi lost her husband, left with her two sons, they married Moabite women and lived in the land for ten years until both sons also died. A widowed Naomi and her daughters-in-law once again faced the dilemma of remaining in Moab or returning to Bethlehem. Naomi chose to return to her home in Judah and discouraged Ruth and Orpah from going with her. She appealed to them to return to their families. Orpah did but not Ruth. Ruth was determined to remain with Naomi, and to serve Naomi's God.

It was the beginning of harvest time in Bethlehem, when Naomi and Ruth arrived. A strategic time! Seizing the opportunity Ruth determined to go to the fields and pick up the leftover grain behind anyone in whose eyes she'd find favor. While Naomi was all embittered and despondent, Ruth was more enterprising and swift in her actions. She did not have the home advantage that Naomi had, but as a foreigner she realized, she needed to step up the pace. Ruth 2:3 "So she went out, entered a field and began to glean behind the harvesters" Ruth took three decisive, critical steps: She went out, She entered a field, she took her place! You have to go where the harvest is, harvest represents opportunity. To reap barley, Ruth had to position herself on a field of barley. She began to glean behind the harvesters; Ruth took her place, as a foreigner. Gleaning was reserved for the poor; it was an act of generosity that left some crops behind for them to collect. Just then Boaz came by! Was this coincidence? Boaz was a member of the clan of Elimalek He noticed Ruth, her hard work, her beauty, and was instantly captivated by her. Boaz owned that field. She left home to find favour, did she find it? Yes indeed, in more measure than she imagined.

"Why have I found such favor in your eyes that you notice me, a foreigner?" Boaz replied, "I've been told all about what you have done for your motherin-law since the death of your husband -how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before. May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge. �"May I continue to find favor in your eyes, my lord," she said.�You have put me at ease by speaking kindly to your servant-though I do not have the standing of one of your servants." Boaz went on to marrying Ruth, they bore a son Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David. Friends there is no telling where your moment of opportunity will present itself. Like Ruth you may have nothing going for you right now. But God looks for a steadfast character of faith and hope. When you place your ambitions and desires on hold for another, when you act selflessly and unselfishly - God sees - God's favour overtakes you - He positions and places people of influence in your path, and what He orchestrates for you no man can hinder or frustrate. Step out - Enter in and possess! From gleaning to owning - Destiny, one step at a time!



I have been a Christian now for 38 years and still find I need to be very vigilant in keeping to the Gospel of Jesus. It is so easy to be led astray by others and believe others know better then you! I HAD A VERY BIG DECISION TO MAKE RECENTLY - IT CAUSED ME A LOT OF PAIN AND HEARTACHE! For the last twelve years I was attending a Church who had really helped me in the past! I grew to love the people deeply and had great respect for its leaders. I grew spiritually in lots of ways but then recently the Church adopted new rules and we had a change of leadership. I KNEW in my heart that it was no longer following the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It had brought in new things to ADD to being saved - apart from GRACE ALONE IN JESUS! I didn't want to leave the Church! I loved the people so much but I knew it would be wrong to stay as the leadership were in CHARGE and there was no room for compromise. I spent lots of time in prayer asking God to guide me and it became evident that I could no longer attend a Church that preached a different Gospel to that of Jesus Christ! I was upset because I didn't want to upset my friends and the leaders ut I knew I had to obey God - not try to please man! About three months ago I left. I felt really sad! I felt like I had deserted my friends and leaders but I knew it was the right thing to do!

I went back to a Church I had been at previously for 28 years. My husband joined me. This Church had changed for the better and it was very Gospel based. There was also lots of opportunities for me to do Sunday School, Youth Groups, doing services for the elderly and leading Bible Studies. My husband went back and played the drums again in the Church and our lives have changed enormously. Lots of doors have been opened for me to use the Gifts God has given me in ways I would have never envisaged. The other Church had NO opportunities for me to do anything. It had become full of rules and regulations and was discouraging anyone from helping. It was like a ONE MAN BAND! I am so glad I listened to God and changed Churches. We must ALWAYS FOLLOW THE CALLING OF GOD AND STICK TO THE GOSPEL. Jesus must always come before PEOPLE PLEASING! I am excited for the future as our Church is very focused on evangelising to the lost and reaching out to the needy! If anyone is in a Church that is NOT preaching the GOSPEL OF JESUS don't feel you need to stay out of loyalty to your friends or leaders. JESUS MUST COME FIRST! Always go where the Gospel is preached and lived out and God can truly use you to extend His Kingdom for the Father's Glory! Ladies~ Living and setting a godly example, and actually teaching our children God’s word; this is the biblical, God ordained, and highly effective method of handing down biblical truths and wisdom to our children. Do not leave the biblical training of your children to Sunday school teachers; Sunday school can be a very good thing, but it is not to take the place of parental responsibility in teaching our children. It is good, and biblical to have our children go faithfully to church with us, they should hear the preaching and learn the bible at church; God wants us to attend and be active in a good bible teaching church. However God doesn’t tell us to leave our parental responsibilities to others. We are to teach them God’s truths at home as well. It is not only the stories of “David and Goliath” or “Noah’s Ark” or “Daniel in the Lion’s Den” that God wants our children to learn.

We are to teach our children the full counsel of God, as well as how to apply it to their lives. We need to get our children ready to face the world as responsible people that know how God wants them to function and view things. We are to give them the wise answers that God has given us through His Word. We are to prepare their hearts to be sensitive to the Spirit of God that, prayerfully, they may submit themselves to Him and live for Him amidst a crooked and perverse generation.

If we were to teach our children how to sail a boat on the ocean, we would teach them all about the boat, the ocean, and safety techniques. We would tell them the laws, we would train them what to do in an emergency, we would tell them why things work the way that they do, and why it isn’t wise to do other certain things. Then after taking them for a few trial runs with lots of “on the job training”, we would set them loose to try it alone; all the while praying that they return in one piece. How much more should we be getting them ready for life?

We are commanded as parents to “not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Eph. 6:4). Mothers, you are instructed to “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates” (Deut. 6:5-9).

We should strive to leave godly impressions, living and lasting legacies, with our children from their upbringing. None of us are perfect parents; we are going to fail some which is all the more reason to be more dedicated to Jesus, ourselves, personally. No matter where we are at in our child training stage; infants, young children, youth, teens, singles, or even if we are grandparents and cannot retrieve the training years of our own children; we can pass a better legacy to our grandchildren and ardently pray for our children even now. Whatever you do, do not live in the past; learn from it, but do not allow Satan to keep you there. Jesus wants us to live TODAY for Him, regardless of who we have been or not been or what we have done or not done, or how often we’ve failed in the past. Solomon failed a lot in his life, miserably; yet, you find him in Proverbs wisely striving to teach his sons what his father taught him from God’s Word.

Had David shrunk back from teaching his son, Solomon, because of the wickedness he had done prior, and had Solomon neglected to teach his sons, out of guilt and not believing God’s promise of forgiveness; we wouldn’t have the wonderful book of Proverbs to instruct us sinners. It encourages me as a parent to see that other imperfect parents have experienced God’s forgiveness and blessings. Don’t forget, that when God ordained that parents pass down His truths, that He was already fully aware that we are sinners. Nonetheless He commands that we love Him with all our hearts, live a holy life, repent of our sins, and yes, pass His truths to our sinful children. That’s the plan and it is a good plan and it is a plan that works.

Satan doesn’t want us teaching our children. He has master mindedly set it up that we are all too busy and preoccupied. Shame on us for believing him! Always remember that whatever God sets up as right and good, Satan will strive to undo it and try to tempt us to do the opposite. He uses a powerful tool to do it with too; the lusts eyes, the lust of our flesh, and the pride of life (1Jhn. 2:16, 2 Pet 2:18). He makes it easier and more comfortable to us not to train our children in the things of God; all the while furnishing us with seemingly legitimate excuses so as to appease our conscience and banish our guilt. Paul told Timothy, “You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” (2Tim. 2:2).

Paul was instructing Timothy to be a preacher of God’s word to the people. We Christian women are to study to show ourselves approved to God, a workwoman that needs not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, and in turn pass on the truths of scripture that we have learned to other women and children. I don’t know about you, but there is no one that I would rather teach than my own children. There is such a strong parental obligation that flows from the heart of love for their souls. God uses Solomon, in the book of Proverbs, to address us as he did his sons, to enter the intimacies of his home and learn wisdom as we read that wonderful book of wisdom. God has the same, yet more fervent, desire to teach His children (believers) His precepts. Take time to really learn and glean practical, everyday, answers to life and godliness through the Word of god. If we saturate our minds with God’s wisdom, through the Word, we will glean spiritual truths that we as daughters, mothers, and grandmothers need to apply to our own lives as well as learn how to train those in our sphere of influence at any given age or stage that they are in. Children are ours for a limited time only… we need to redeem the time that we have.

Ladies~ Does it seem that there is no end to the trials in your life? Sometimes there is confusion on our part to exactly what God is doing and it can become frustrating and painful. Job felt this way too… “Behold, I go forward, but he is not there, and backward, but I do not perceive him; on the left hand when he is working, I do not behold him; he turns to the right hand, but I do not see him.” Job was confused at what God was doing in his life and his trials were severe! The only thing left for him to do was to trust God… “But he knows the way that I take when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold” (Job 23:8-10). We cannot always see the plan, but we can always trust that God has one, a good one, and a specific one at that. Remember that God is all powerful and in total control even when we aren’t. This truth brings peace to any trial and it glorifies God when we are content to follow His leading…even in the dark.

Focus is so important. Remember that God always does what is best for His children. Even in trials and affliction love is ALWAYS His motive. Proverbs 3:12 “For whom the LORD loves he corrects; even as a father the son in whom he delights.” Sometimes I fear that people have a misconception of God when it comes to His discipline, chastening and correction. People tend to attribute happiness, joy, blessings, prosperity, and positive looking things to God. But they tend to attribute sadness, hardships, trials, tears, hurting and negative looking things to Satan. Like every ‘open door’ is of God and every ‘shut door’ is of Satan. The truth is that Satan uses both distress and prosperity to tempt us to sin. Even when Satan ‘gives us what we want’ it is never to bless us, it is always with the motive of getting us to sin. He has ONE agenda… to dishonor God.

Because we are the apple of God’s eye, and because God created us in His own image to follow, love, worship, and obey Him, Satan focuses on getting us to, follow, love, worship, and obey him instead. The truth is that God uses both, happiness, joy, blessings, prosperity, and positive things as well as sadness, hardships, trials, tears, hurting, and seemingly negative things for our good. He even monitors the temptations that Satan would bring to us, because God doesn’t allow His people to be overwhelmed or exasperated. “There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it” (1Co. 10:13). Notice that when Satan wanted to tempt Job that God specified exactly what he would allow and not; Satan does not have a ‘free for all’ in the believer’s life.

This Proverb tells us that the motive of the Lord’s correction of His people is love because He delights in us as sons …‘delights’ means, ‘to be pleased and satisfied with, to accept, approve, favor, enjoy’.

“Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him” (Pro. 13:24). Satan’s motive is always evil, every single temptation that he aims our way, whether it be in the form of hardship or ‘blessing,’ is always for our ruin; all with the ultimate goal of dishonoring God. Never, ever, EVER, does Satan want what is best for us, or even those who follow him; he hates all of God’s creation. But God, always, continuously, constantly, every single time, whether it is in the form of hardship or blessing, He always does what is best for His children. Love is ALWAYS His motive. “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent” (Rev. 3:19). It is important that we view everything about God rightly. It dishonors Him when we believe things about Him that are not true.

Satan works at getting us to believe lies; he is the father of lies…even ‘white’ ones. If we do not view God’s chastening correctly, we are apt to focus on the rod and blame Him instead of focusing on the need of the rod in our lives for our own good. The motive in God’s correction of His children is likened to a human father who loves his children. I know that parenting is a hard calling and it is tremendous blessing too; however the blessing only comes to those who love their children enough to discipline them. It is hateful and harmful to leave our children to themselves. “The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself brings his mother to shame” (Pro. 29:15). With the lack of parental involvement (true sacrificial love, care, godly training, example, and discipline) in America’s children brings with it shame. More children are being left to themselves and more children are getting into trouble than ever before. What is that ‘wonderful’ slogan we often hear? ‘We’ve come a long way baby!’ The truth is that “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death” (Pro. 16:25). If we understand chastening right, we would trust God in it and praise Him for it. “I know, O LORD, that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me” (Psa. 119:75).

“Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment” (Psa. 51:4). When we have misconceptions of Christ’s discipline in our lives we will miss the point. Think about it…we parents only discipline our children as a last resort. First we try to get them to obey and do right by many other methods, explanations, warnings, setting up rules, teaching, and reasoning with them. Then we might even choose to use any one of the many different disciplinary methods (grounding, taking privileges, going to bed early, no treats, or movies, or games etc.), however if they don’t prove effective we have to wisely resort to spanking our child as the bible teaches. Never out of anger, never abusively, never withholding our love, and always with the motive of love and quick restitution of their attitude. “Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die. If you strike him with a rod, you will save his soul from Sheol” (Pro. 23:13-14). God’s biblical instruction of discipline is loving and kind, never abusive. It is wrong, and sinful to abuse a child. In fact God is against abuse and cruelty and will harshly judge those who abuse their children. God likens His discipline towards His people with that of a loving Father. Notice He didn’t choose to use the illustration of a correctional institute or a police officer; not that their discipline is bad or wrong when administered correctly.

But He purposefully uses son ship; the father / son relationship to stress the dearness and sense of belonging. “As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him. For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust” (Psa. 103:1314). “If his children forsake my law and do not walk according to my rules, if they violate my statutes and do not keep my commandments, then I will punish their transgression with the rod and their iniquity with stripes, but I will not remove from him my steadfast love or be false to my faithfulness” (Ps. 89:30-33). God’s chastening only lasts as long as the sin or rebellion continues. Once the point has been made, the soul is repentant, the heart reached contrition, Christ likeness has been molded, and the attitude is where it belongs the ‘rod’ is set aside. That doesn’t mean that we will not have trails or hardships any more. That would imply that all of our trials and hardships are due to chastening; clearly they are not. Not all of the hard times in life are due to chastisement. Often God uses hard things in our lives to conform us to Christ’s image, increase our faith, and to rid us of ourselves. “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted” (2Tim. 3:12). Job was an upright man who feared God; his suffering wasn’t a result of chastening. However when God is indeed chastening us and we repent of our sin; the desired end has been reached.

We read the wonderful passage on God’s chastening in Hebrews 12 yesterday in our study, but I want to remind us of one of those verses because it states clearly what the goal and purpose of chastisement is; “For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it” (Heb. 12:11). The desired end is the peaceable fruit of righteousness; turning from sin and to obedience, from selfishness to faith, from idols to Jesus, from rebellion to submission, from humanism to God’s Word, and from focusing on this life and the things of this world to focusing on heaven, eternity, and spiritual things. When we humbly confess and forsake our sin it is the end of chastisement for that particular situation. The Psalmist was in heavy trials and started questioning God’s goodness, as you read this take notice in the end what turned his doubts around: “Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable? Has his steadfast love forever ceased? Are his promises at an end for all time? Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he in anger shut up his compassion? Then I said, I will appeal to this, to the years of the right hand of the Most High. I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds. Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God?” (Ps. 77:7-13).

It is most affective to center our meditation, like the Psalmist did, on the truths of God, lest we doubt His goodness. Don’t ever yield your thoughts of God to Satan’s deception. Whenever you doubt the goodness of God, always remember quickly and accurately that He is always good, and that any confusion on your end is just that, your humanistic end. His thoughts are so above our own; trust that He is always up to something good, because He is. *** “In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1Pe. 1:6-7). The Holy Spirit providentially chooses the most appropriate time, the most accurate yet gentlest method, the most considerate and sympathetic amount, and the most efficient tools to orchestrate our lives to His glory and our good. Knowing this can bring joy and thankfulness to any trial.

Lesson #1: The Worth of a Woman: BY BECKY OSWALD

As a general rule, women feel worthy when loved, respected and appreciated. It is great when those around us express their admiration of our abilities and talents. In reality, though, many women struggle with a sense of worth and acceptance because of their past or present circumstances. To accomplish any worthwhile goal requires a plan; we can be encouraged because God is a Master Planner and is ever at work in your life. His unseen hand is ever at work to bring about His purpose for you ... it’s called the Providence of God. He loves you and has a divine purpose and plan for your life. It is awesome to know that “For when He but spoke, the world began! It appeared at His command! And with His breath he can scatter the plans of all the nations who oppose Him, yet His own plan stands forever” (Psalms 33:9-11). This is the same God who structures your life. VS. 13: continues with “The Lord gazes down upon mankind from heaven where He lives. He has made our hearts and closely watches everything we do.”

We have a God who cares about every detail of our lives; if a matter concerns you, it concerns Him. This unseen hand is ever at work to bring about His purpose for you. He is the One who made your heart and closely watches everything you do; wouldn’t you like to know what He has in mind for you? Jeremiah 9:23-24, “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom; let not the great man glory in his greatness; let not the rich man glory in his riches but let him who glories, glory in this, that he understands and knows Me. I am the Lord who exercises loving kindness, judgment and righteousness in all the earth and in these things I delight, declares the Lord.” To know and understand the Lord God, can you do that? You can never ever in this lifetime know and understand the Lord, truly know His plan for your life if you have a distant/faint relationship with Him. When you study, don’t just study to gain information or even to glean wisdom, but study for intimacy. Tell Him you just want to know Him, to be close to Him, to have fellowship ... to know Him better. One man said, “Lord, I want to be so close that I feel your breath.” Sadly, so many times we only make those statements in times of stress or danger; God would love it if we just wanted to love on Him as He does on us. Message Bible Ephesians 5:1-2, “Watch what God does and then you do it ... mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with Him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love is not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of Himself to us.

Love like that.” Women feel worthy when they are loved. You can recover faster from a physical blow than you can from a wound of words. When someone sears your soul with verbal abuse, your sense of worth temporarily disappears, even when you know it is far from the truth. That’s when you wrap “Mostly what God does is love you and He doesn’t love you in order to get anything from you but to give everything of Himself to you” around yourself and realize of all the things the God of this universe could be doing, at this moment, He shuts down shop to give your sense of wholeness, worth and well-being back to you. You are so important to Him ... God’s favorite thing to do is to love you. Worthy women look for God’s plan and find out what they are good at. Discover the gifts God has placed in you and then you develop them. You can go to school and have specialized training in high technology, but if God didn’t put that capability in place in you, you’ll be illfitted in your performance. When God puts a quality or talent inside of you, as you develop it for Him, He enhances and embellishes it and spruces you up until you hardly recognize you. All talents get polished through training, through discipline and through experience. Some of us paint, teach, preach, sing, organize, administrate ... while others provide. And please know this, if you’re the one doing the providing, then you get to get in on whatever blessing comes from that provision. The bottom line is God increases talents and qualities when we use what He’s put inside of us. Using God’s gifts to glorify Him gives us an immeasurable sense of worth. It’s up to you to add to what He has placed within you. What God does, you cannot do; but God will not do what we can do!

God gives you salvation because you cannot save yourself. But God does not give you good habits. That’s up to you! Stop asking the way when you know perfectly well what to do. You have to begin where you are; you can’t begin where you are not. God placed seeds and abilities within you but He expects you to nourish their growth. You go into a dark room to “develop” film, but you don’t stay there. When you find yourself in the dark, keep walking as He will always lead you to the light. “To Him the night shines as bright as the day. Darkness and light are both alike to Him” Psalms 139:12. God specializes in impossibilities. He knows a thousand ways to make a way for you. He always has a working plan in place for you, even before you know you have a problem, He has a plan. His unseen power controls everything for His purpose. Our problem lies in wanting to see it. God never promised to give you explanations but He did promise to keep His promises and we need to believe Him. Mostly we live our lives in seasons and seasons have beginnings and endings. We have a very hard time understanding this as we think because one season is over, we have nothing left. God always has a plan in place and He always gives us something ... some seed to sow for what’s next. Don’t be discouraged or defeated when you fail, it could be the beginning of a new season. A fresh touch of God can give you new hope, new insight. Rely on the unseen power that controls everything for His purpose, i.e., His better plan! It will always include some insights of your value as a woman of great worth!

Isaiah 43:2 - WHEN THOU PASSEST THROUGH THE WATERS, I WILL BE WITH THEE; AND THROUGH THE RIVERS, THEY SHALL NOT OVER FLOW THEE: THANK YOU JESUS!!! I was so weary and broken - all I could do was put one foot in front of the other. The tears hadn't began to flow yet. I was hoping against hope that I was dreaming; but this was NOT a dream - it was real life. You see - I had overcome a death defying sickness - that the doctors thought I would die, they thought well she surely will be blind - BUT GOD!!!!! The severity of the sickness had me in the hospital for 5 months & out patience treatment seems like for ever. GOD HEALED ME COMPLETELY. They had to beg family to come see about me. I guess they NEVER thought I was close to death. A couple years after that Robbed & raped with a nine pointed at my stomach - I stared death straight in the face - I heard the voice "EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT". No tears again!!! My time had come when I became homeless w/o a dime in my pocket, no food; nor a place to lay my head. I walked & walked; I couldn't find a friend everybody was gone. The tears began to flow until I surely thought I would drown in my own tears. I found myself in a place of STILL WATERS that seen like there was no end to the waters. I surely found STILL WATERS RAN DEEP - walking thru the waters that I couldn't see an end to the otherside - I found early the water was too deep. I stopped; should I succumb to the water; for there was nothing to go back to. JESUS CAME RUNNING & SAID "

I WILL LAY ME DOWN LIKE A BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATERS & YOU WILL SURELY REACH THE OTHERSIDE!!!". I had to TRUST Him; for what did I have to lose. This song is very emotional for me - I can hear it all day; for JESUS SAID IN TIMES OF TROUBLE I WILL BE THERE, WHEN YOU SEEM ALL ALONE - I WILL BE THERE. I surely found all the times I thought I was alone - He was right there, when I needed a bridge to cross over - He truly laid down. O I hear many say they trust the Lord; but I know for sure I can walk on the waters like Peter; that is the FAITH LEVEL I HAVE IN MY LORD. I hear many say - Jesus is my everything - NO - I AM SORRY for IF He take that man/woman you have; lose your home or take your children (like he did Job) - then I want to hear you say with a resounding voice JESUS IS MY EVERYTHING!!!! final word - FAITH THAT HAS NOT BE TESTED IS FAITH THAT CAN NOT BE TRUSTED!!!!! The Road to Freedom is Called Self-discipline: BY KAREN ZEIGLER

It’s 6:25. I’ve been awake since 5. Not because I wanted to but because I needed to. After battling an hour+ of resistance I’m sitting here at my computer to write. This battle has gone on for quite some time now. You know the one. The battle between what you want to do and what you end up doing. That battle between what you know would give you more energy, more excitement, more of the life you want versus just another ho-hum day. The battle that when you don’t win nags at you all day long. Do you know the one I’m talking about? Yeah – that’s the one. The battle of self-discipline. Even saying it falls flat.

There was a time in my life where I thought I had self-discipline whipped. When I was still working in the corporate world my schedule looked something like this 5-5:30 Quiet Time; 5:30-6 Drive to Gym; 6-7 Workout; 7-8 Get ready at gym, grab breakfast and head to work; 8-5pm or 6 or 7 Work, work, work; Evenings with husband and eventually family and serving in church I wouldn’t want those days back for nothing. When I left the corporate world I threw everything I knew in the trash and hoped to never see it again. I threw my alarm clock, business suits, board meetings, and every semblance of a work schedule in the trash. But I’ve found myself rumbling through the debris lately digging for those things that made me successful at my job and life. Ironically, the one thing that gave me freedom to enjoy the things in life I wanted (God, family, health, a good income) was self-discipline. Ironically the road to freedom is called discipline. ~ Karen Zeigler As I’ve pondered this idea of self-discipline lately I’ve realized there really is no success, no freedom to enjoy life without it. I knew this but it’s a reminder I needed because quite frankly I’ve gotten lazy since stepping into the world of a writer. Perhaps you need it to. And just in case it’s too early for you to wrap you mind around the idea that freedom comes through self-discipline let me give you a few examples. When you discipline yourself in the areas of exercise and healthy eating you have the freedom of good health. The freedom to wear clothes you enjoy wearing. The freedom to be active and enjoy your family and friends. The freedom of more energy and a more restful nights sleep. When you discipline yourself in the area of money you have the freedom from debt. The freedom to give generously, to take vacations with your family that you want to take, to retire and many other things. When you discipline yourself spiritually by devoting part of your day to reading scripture and prayer you experience the freedom of God’s peace. The freedom in connecting with his plan for your life. The freedom wisdom brings. The freedom from sins that hold you back.

The cultural would tell us that freedom is doing what you want when you want it but it doesn’t take too long down that path to see that eating what you want, spending what you want, doing whatever you want leaves us slaves to health, money and all sorts of problems. So what area of your life is missing the key ingredient for success – selfdiscipline? If you started today being disciplined in that area how would your life look different in 3 weeks, 3 months, 3 years?

I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live (Deuteronomy 30:19, NKJV). I recently saw a newscast about a teacher who was horrified when high school students posted pictures of themselves with dead animals, mocking the animals and using them in grotesque poses. That same week I saw a video of junior high students bullying a grandmother who had volunteered as a bus monitor, taunting her and making cruel statements that brought the poor woman to tears. Heartbreaking? Sure. Shocking? Not so much. Not when you consider that today’s children have grown up in a society that for the most part does not value life or honor the One who gives it. Today’s youth has no memory of a culture that didn’t actively promote abortion or that wasn’t sliding more and more toward legalizing euthanasia. They watched as Terri Schiavo was starved and dehydrated to death by court order, and we wonder why they see no need to place a high value on God-given life.

But it isn’t just our children who have been blinded by what I think of as a "spirit of abortion,” meaning the bent toward doing away with any life that negatively impacts or interferes with someone else’s desires. If we aren’t careful we can all fall into it. When I served as my mother’s primary caregiver for the last twelve years of her life, there were times I was stretched to the ends of my physical and emotional endurance. Had it not been for the Lord’s strength to renew and carry me through, I could easily have succumbed to that same thought process that drives women with "inconvenient pregnancies” to sacrifice the most helpless among us for their own purposes and desires. God’s Word to us is to "choose life”—in any and all situations. Our Most Excellent Weapon – Love : ADDED BY SUSAN C. CLARK

As end-time warriors we will move and minister with awesome authority and power, yet from a foundation of genuine love and humility. "But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way" (1 Corinthians 12:31). We must walk the higher way, the way of true, Christ-centered love. We have sought power, yet God longs to release true passion. It is time to discover our most excellent weapon: God's love. During these decisive days, great wisdom will be released by the Spirit of Truth concerning the vast difference between power and God-given authority.

The Greatest Gift Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 The Spirit of God is releasing wonderful grace so that we can clearly learn the lessons of LOVE. Nothing is as significant or as genuine as Christ-centered love. All men will know and recognize that we are truly followers of Christ by this: our love for one another (John 13:35). Our prayer should be that we increase and abound in Christ's love.

And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you. 1 Thessalonians 3:12 The Body of Christ is learning to love – this is the key to melting and opening the hardest heart. Remember, "Love never fails." Programs fail and plans of men fail – however, God's love never fails. This kind of love is not cheap, worldly sentiment; it is costly and precious. True, Christ-like love will cost you everything. God is calling for a passionate people who are willing to lay down their lives and give without expecting to gain any worldly acceptance. This generation will be aglow with the glory of God. This emerging Kingdom Company will be marching to the rhythm of His heartbeat. His heart will be their hearts' desire. They will resolve to follow the Lamb wherever He goes, even to the ends of the earth. This emerging generation is willing to die for what they believe. Never has the world witnessed such passion. These hearts, set ablaze by God's love, will rush into the harvest fields, resulting in raging fires of revival across the nations. Entire nations can be saved in a single day.

The man, Christ Jesus, is the ultimate example of God dwelling with us. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 Notice the phrase "and we beheld His glory." This emerging Kingdom Company will have the same countenance as Jesus – the glory of the Lord will be evident upon them. He is our pattern; He alone is our true example. As Jesus walked the earth He was the perfect demonstration of God's unfathomable love. We must fix our gaze on Him as the perfect model of a life of love (see 2 Corinthians 3:18).

Be Like Jesus As a follower of Christ Jesus, you are created in the image of God and are of utmost importance to Him. He is calling you to walk in perfect unity with Him – in His likeness and His nature. Remember, GOD IS LOVE (1 John 4:8). Our mission is to be the fragrance of Christ, the beauty of Jesus, the very anointing of Him on earth. As you minister, you minister with Him. As you walk, you walk like Him. Jesus prayed to the Father: "I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in Us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me. I have given them the glory that You gave Me, that they may be one as We are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me.

"Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, and to see My glory, the glory you have given Me because You loved Me before the creation of the world." John 17:20-24, NIV It is awesome to see how the Spirit of Truth is changing the attitude of many in the Body of Christ – their motive is to give, not just get. This is the true Christ-like character we must display to a hurting world. Our goal is for our character to be simply the same as that of Christ Jesus: "Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death – even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in Heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:6-11, NIV). Our mission and mandate from Heaven is to have the passion and compassion to love God and to love our neighbor. With compassion, Jesus embraced the man with leprosy, held the dying women, and broke the law to sit at the well and talk to a prostitute. But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." Matthew 9:36-38 Love is the most excellent way. Love will never fail. Love is God's greatest reflection. Love covers a multitude of sins.

Healing Love I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely, for my anger has turned away from him. Hosea 14:4 Even though you may have fallen away from faith, thank God that He is always ready to offer tender, loving forgiveness. Truly, as Proverbs 10:12 states, "Love covers all sins." Be Encouraged as you read ! On the way to your divine destiny you will experience many encounters, hurt, and pain. You may get ambushed a few times and even left for dead by those closet to you. Leaving you stripped of everything but Yahweh. Read this parable Jesus told of the Good Samaritan taken from the book of Luke 10:3035. (30) " A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. (31) " Now by chance a certain priest came down that road, And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. (32) " Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked and passed by on the other side (33) " But a certain Samaritan as he journeyed, came where he was and when he saw him, he had compassion. (34) " So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. (35) " On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii,. gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him. Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you. "

Like the Jericho road, the journey to your divine destiny is very dangerous. Therefore you must stay in the secret place of Yahweh's abiding presence; taking vital steps to discipline yourself to study the word, meditate in it, and search it constantly. Yielding all of self will to His perfect will and purpose. Fasting often as you regurgitate on the word. Yet you will still have an experience like the man on the Jericho road. The good news is ringing like a bell from Isaiah 54:17 " No weapon formed against you shall prosper. And every tongue which rises against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me, says the LORD. " In Jesus' parable of the good Samaritan. The thieves had beaten the man so severely, they actually thought he would die, and they assured themselves that no one would help him anyway, so they left him there. Can I tell you ? In what you are walking in your enemy (Satan) thought for sure you would die. Yet what the enemy did not know is that Yahweh has a good Samaritan whom He will demonstrate His power and love through in His divine timing; to catapult to that vital place in Him ! Be it known to you this day in spite of all you are going through. You will make it safely as you travel to your divine destiny even as you encounter the Jericho road; where thieves and derailers attempt to distort, and destroy your character. Attempting to destroy your witness for Jesus Christ. Suddenly as lightning flashes from the East, Jehovah Gibbor is arising even now to deal with your derailers, and all of those who are assassinating your character. Yes ! Like hot thunder bolts, the enemy is fleeing in seven different ways. Abba Father is your Great Defender, and He is taking care of you like the Good Samaritan took care of the wounded man in Jesus' parable. You will recover and receive the Resurrection power of Jesus Christ on the Jericho road ! Come on give Yahweh, the God who redeems, give Him praise for your Jericho road experience for it is bringing you even closer to your divine

Chapter One

By His Grace and for His Glory

During the depression there was a field which was a sheep ranch owned by a man named Yates. Mr. Yates wasn’t able to make enough on his ranching operation to pay the principal and interest on the mortgage, so he was in danger of loosing his rand. With little money fo clothes o food, his family had to live on a government subsidy. Day afte day, as he grazed his sheep over those rolling West Texas hills, he was greatly troubled for many years about how he would pay his bills. After 20 years a seismographic crew from an oil company came into the area and told him there might be oil on his land. They asked permission to drill a well, and he singed a lease contract. At 1,115 feet they struck a hugh oil reserve. The first oil came in at 80,000 barrels a day. Many subsequent wells were more than twice as large. In fact. 30 years after the discovery, a government test of one of the wells showed it still had the potential flow of 125,000 barrels of oil a day. Mr. Yates became an instant millionaire.

Or did he? The oil was there all along and Mr. Yates owned it all. The day he purchased the land he received the oil and mineral rights. Yet, he’d been living on relief. A millionaire living in poverty. The problem? He didn’t know the great wealth he possessed even though it was his all along. We think “how sad.” He could have had an entirely different life if he only he had been aware of everything that was his. All of those dreary days of doubt and despair would have been ones of joy and gladness. Many Christians live in spiritual poverty because they have no idea why they were made and what their purpose is in life. They “have it all” yet they are content to escape eternal doom, without realizing the important issue in life is not what they have been saved from……but what they have been saved to. They have a valuable treasure within, yet they never take the time to discover it, therefore they spend most of their lives drifting aimlessly with no purpose. Somewhere in the back of their mind are the three all important questions that will not go away. “Who am I?” “Why am I here?” “Where am I going?” They are burning questions that ask “what is the purpose of life, anyway?” Churches are filled with people who have no idea that a great deal of their purpose for living takes place in using their spiritual gifts. People are doing things in church work that they were never designed or equipped to do. This causes friction and chaos. When you are not using your spiritual gsaysifts within the church you are working the “sheep ranch” instead of being the goldmine God intended for you to be to equip and build up His church. God wants you to know who you are, why you are here and where you are going! You are handmade, a one of a kind Designer Original! Psalm 139:13-16 says "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed Body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." When God was molding and shaping you He had a purpose. He made you just as He made the world – out of nothing. He formed you bit by bit and bone by bone, covered you with flesh, put within you a heart, lungs and everything that was needed to make you function perfectly. Then He patiently wove all of your parts together in the darkness of the womb in total seclusion, with the imagery being of a craftsman who skillfully weaves a beautiful and colorful tapestry. Each move of His hand was calculated and intentional as He made you into the specific masterpiece He had in mind. The Psalm continues “You have formed my inward parts.” He decided what your features would be, what color of hair you would have, and how your body would be shaped. He fashioned everything about you with His own hands and wrote each detail in a book. He ordered and numbered each day of your life. He preordained where you would live and the purpose for you living there. He led you to your church because they need everything that God put into your personal package to function as He intends it to. You were made to be a minister in the local Body of Christ. Every person who has put their trust in Christ has been given spiritual gifts by the Spirit of God to equip and edify his Body in the local church and in His Church world wide. If you were to add together all of the spiritual gifts, you would come up with about 20, and there may be even more. They are found in Romans 12, Ephesians 4, 1 Corinthians 12, and 1 Peter 4. To keep it easy for each of us to find our place of service in the local church, we will be discussing the seven gifts listed in Romans 12:3-9. Focusing on these seven basic gifts of God’s grace will meet our needs.

To fully understand the gifts we will begin by answering some key questions. The Definition of Spiritual Gifts A spiritual gift is a special divine empowerment bestowed on each believer by the Holy Spirit to accomplish a given ministry God’s way according to His grace and discernment to be used within the context of the Body of Christ. When you operate within this definition, you will see the church grow as each member does his/her part according to the Holy Spirit’s work following God’s design and purpose. Ephesians 6:16 reads “From Him the whole Body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Spiritual Gifts are tools God gives Christians to do the work of the ministry, to fulfill the Great Commission to reach, baptize, teach and to minister to one another. Ephesians 4: 12 tells us that every Christian receives at least one gift at the moment of salvation. Spiritual Gifts are not rewards, are not natural talents, are not a place of service, are not an age-group ministry, and are not a specialty ministry. They express themselves through various ministries which, in turn, accomplish a variety of results. A spiritual gift is the primary channel by which the Holy Spirit ministers through the believer. It is a supernatural capacity for service to God -- and He gives you a supernatural desire to perform the duties of that gift. Spiritual Gifts are tools for building the church. They are a source of joy in your Christian life and influence your motives. A spiritual gift is a divine calling with a divine responsibility, because what God has gifted you to do, He has equipped you to do, and what He has called you to do, He has gifted you to do. FOREWORD : All of us need encouragement; there are times when you need encouragement more than other times. The Holy Spirit is the present encourager; my wife Margaret is also an encourager. She has spoken uplifting words to any one who would receive them. She some how selects the “right” times to call and encourage somebody when they need it the most. INTRODUCTION : “Seeds Of Hope” You are sitting there lamenting over your sins, and the foolish mistakes you’ve made. Weary, depressed, and torn apart by the many years of repeating the same vicious cycle, with no consistent prayer life. Friends and loved ones have betrayed, and deserted you. The trust that you placed in them, has been breeched leaving big gaping wounds of disappointment, and pain, almost more than you can bear. Darkness now surrounds you, and the God that you love so much seems so far away. Life does not seem to be worth living any more.

But wait one morning while going through the motions of prayer, just as you are about to give up on prayer, you turn to get up off your knees, hearing those unforgettable words “Don’t go, stay with me.” The voice is so comforting, and loving. Instantly, miraculously your whole attitude becomes that of gratitude, and what’s even more exciting, you receive a hunger and a thirsting for the presence of God. You are enthusiastic and look forward to your next time of prayer to seek for God, just to hear his voice again. The word of God is teaching you obedience and consistency through prayer. During the turbulent times you learn patience, and perseverance to endure hardships and trials.

God gives you joy in your times of sorrow. With the understanding that it is your faith that moves the hand of God. It is your faith in God’s word that will make you whole and complete. Lessons are learnt very quickly that even through you experience the joys of an intimate relationship with your Heavenly Father does not exempt you from trials, hurt, pain or sickness. You are going to still encounter disappointments of every kind. However, it is a comfort to know that despite these experiences, God, your Abba Father, is right there with you and He will never leave, nor forsake you. He is stripping away the old so that you can embrace the new transforming you to become Christ-like. Prayer makes all the difference in our daily lives. Prayer changes things. Prayer will change you and me. This song is a testimony of just a portion of what God can and will do through prayer.

As you read each chapter of this book may the God of all comfort and strength, give you the endurance to persevere in prayer while He processes you. Allow Him to break, shape and mold you into the vessel that He has chosen for you to become. CHAPTER ONE : THE LOVE OF THE FATHER An abusive husband one day fi nds himself all alone with his three young children to care for. He laments over the loss of his wife’s presence, and repents of his arrogant violent ways. Yet his wife refuses to return home, and she has no means to care for the children. This young man cries out to Abba Father to help him. He receives salvation through Jesus Christ and discovers a love he hadn’t realized buried on the inside. He really loves his children He most definitely loves them but he just didn’t know how to express it to them. Now a joy was welling up inside. He began to read bible stories, praying with them every night and tucked them into bed, he took them on outings but most of all he hugged them often and told them how much he really loved them and constantly showed his appreciation to them. This young man never remarried. He dedicated his life to raising his children and did a great job. His children are now all grown and are fulfi lling their purpose and destiny. “The Love of this Father” brought hope and stability to their lives.

In the book of Luke, chapter 11 tells the story of a father who had two sons. One day the younger son said to his Father, “Give me a portion of goods that is mine”. The father obliged his son and gave him his inheritance. Not many days after receiving his portion, the younger son journeyed into a far country and once he had gotten there, wasted his substance with riotous living. And when, he had spent all that he had, there arose a mighty famine in that land and he began to be in want. He went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and was sent into the fi elds to feed swine. He was so hungry that he desired to eat the swine’s food, and no one gave him anything to eat. One day this young man remembered his father, and decided he would return back home and ask him to receive him as one of his hired servants. Meanwhile, this young man’s father was praying and looking with hope for the return of his lost son. While returning home, being miles away but insight, the father runs to him and having compassion, hugs and kisses his son. The son repents. The love of his Father for his son causes him to order the best robe to put on him, a ring to put on his hand and shoes on his feet, and threw a party to celebrate the return of his lost son. What LOVE, the love of a Father! It does not matter where we are or what we have done, of course you must repent and confess your sins to Jesus Christ. Yes your Abba Father forgives you and me instantly. He wipes the slate clean. His love is unconditional.

The love of our Heavenly Father loves us in spite of. Begin to walk in your purpose and destiny to receive your spiritual heritage. It is a fair(decision--judgement) and righteous thing with God to repay with distress and affliction to those who distress and afflict you.And to (recompense) you who are so distressed and afflicted by granting you relief and rest along with us(your fellow sufferers) when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in a flame of fire.To deal out retribution (chastisement and vengeance) upon those who do not know or perceive or become acquainted with God, and upon those) who ignore and refuse to obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.Such people will pay the penalty and suffer the punishment of everlasting( age lasting) ruin (destruction and perdition)and eternal exclusion and banishment from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power."--2nd Thes. ch 1 vs 6-9...Amplified Bible There are those who will refuse the Lord all the way down through the millennium, and then they will rise up with Satan(the beast--carnal mind)to make war on the New Jerusalem but God will defeat them and they will experience the Lake Of Fire. To me, this ia the meaning of the scriptures I quoted above.

I used to think everyone will run after the Lord and surrender their lives to him, but according to these scriptures, they will be banished from the presence of the Lord. These scriptures do not say they will be cast into some burning inferno, but banished from God`s presence. Now, to me, that would be hell...



INTRODUCTION It has always been my desire to provide a free material for those working in the vineyard; ever since my call. I noticed to my horror that the truth has been diluted and what is presented these days to the world is a counterfeit of God Truth by Satan and his agents. There is so much confusion about the truth that Christianity and the Kingdom of God has become like a fairy tale, myth or a scheme created for exploiting the poor. There is so much division that it now appears as if more then one Christ redeemed mankind of their sins. This is shocking and daily Christianity is losing its salt/taste and being replaced by the logics, reasons and ideologies of man. More confuse then ever are those presenting the Word to an even more confuse world. Many are so lost in the gains they can get from their exploitations of the poor , businesses(organizations/Churches), or forum for climbing the political or social ladder that they formulate theories which lead millions to their doom. Yet there are a few honest, hardworking, seekers of the truth who want to do the right and carry high the Gospel of Truth; regardless of the circumstances, it for these few seekers of the truth of God’s Word that I write this guide.


THE MINISTERSHEPHERD IS CALLED & SEPARATED FOR THE TASK BY GOD HIMSELF The Minister/Shepherd of Jesus Christ is called to the task and separated from the flock to care for the message of God and any instrument used to carry out that noble task. Take your time to read and digest the verses below; for they are very crucial to our topic.

(Exodus 28:1; Numbers 3:5-12, 1Sam.3:4-10) As we can see from Chr.23:13 “And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.”

“And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him. And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle. And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle. And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given unto him out of the children of Israel. And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine. ” That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him. And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.” “The sons of Amram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister unto him, and to bless in his name for ever.” The Minister/Shepherd, Ministers to God. (This is his/her first priority). The fact that the Minister/Shepherd is call by God makes the office a very Holy one that has to be guarded with care, for it is an office that has the highest mandate on earth as regard the

Kingdom of God. Special powers are assigned to this office to bind and loose and to be a vessel or pathway for many things to and from the Kingdom of God. Its jurisdiction extends to the ends of the earth. The Mandate states: “All authority in Heaven and on the earth has been given to

me; Therefore go….”(Matt.29:18-20). Authority from Heaven lies in the hands of the true Minister/Shepherd. That is why the vessel that handles such authority has to be selected by God, called and set apart for the task. The task is not easy and has a lot of rules that concerns both heaven and earth; and has to be obeyed by all cost. That is the one reason not any one can be a Minister/Shepherd; for as the Master stated “many are called but few

are chosen”.

The next major fact we should consider here is; that Ministers/Shepherds are not only pastors, but everyone who is called and set apart to minister to God as we can see from Numbers 3: 5-

12. Those who serve in the house of God are also Ministers/Shepherds of God, and as we can see from 1Sam. 3:4-10 that age is not a major factor for God in choosing His Ministers/Shepherds. However it is very clear that Character and the willingness to stick to the principles lay down for Ministering to God makes one a worthy vessel for God to use to reveal His directives to man.

There are those who carry the title but have defiled themselves so much that God can not work through them again. They are totally empty and dirty vessels after their own selfish gains and worldly heights and achievements. Yet in the eyes of men they are thought to be worthy vessels. Those big titles like: Pope; Arch Bishop, Bishop, Apostles, Evangelist, Doctor, Teacher, Pastor, His Excellency, ETC. certainly does not qualify one as a Minister/Shepherd of God. The long white garment or so-called Ministerial robes and neck brands does not make one a Minister/Shepherd of God. Even if you have ten PHDs in Theology, it does not qualify you to be a Shepherd of God. The number one thing that we must get to the back of our heads is that God chooses and separates those He called as Ministers/Shepherds.

Quite contrary to the concept of today that the Minister/Shepherd top priority is to Minister to his/her Congregation, to act as Lord and Master over the members etc., we see here that his/her first priority is to Minister to God. In many churches, the idea is to promote their own Ministry rather than Jesus. Oh Yes, they do use the name of Jesus but to what end. To sell their books and videos, to bless passports and envelopes for those who can give money, to raise money for non existent projects( usually from areas that really needs it but will never receive it) or to claim to be healing in the name or Jesus but in fact using tricks or black arts to convince the people. This is because they do not understand the unique purpose of their call. The unique purpose of the Call is to Minister to God. Those who do not give God first place, own Holy Spirit is of the world and not the Holy Spirit that guides us in true worship. That is why it is necessary to know what qualifies one to serve as a Minister/Shepherd of the God, ordained to carry out the worthy mandate of spreading the True Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.

The Minister/Shepherd is called to take the message of truth as directed from God Himself to any part of the earth that God chooses. God has a particular mission for those He called and set apart. Each person mission might not be the same and might be carry out through different means but for the same purpose, which is to Minister to God and relay His will to mankind.

If we study Jonah(1:1-2; 3:1-2) ;

“Now the word of the LORD came

unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.” “And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying, Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.” we will find a very important lesson and if we study the book carefully we will discover that the purpose of God is not diverted by men, not even His Ministers/Shepherds. Most times in today’s world we see the evil spirit of Satan which was used to convince Jonah to not carry out God message as He wanted it, but to think He could run from God and change His purpose. Isn’t that very interesting? Don’t we see it everyday through the different mediums we use to reach out with what is taught today? Little do they know that all they gather that was not ordained by God will be their own rough sea tomorrow that they will have to be thrown into and countless members of their generations will have to pay for their evil? But like it or not the purpose of God can never be change by man. If it is the mission that God called you to carry out it will be accomplish before your demise.

God call His Ministers/Shepherds long before they know it, most times even before birth (Jer. 1:5) “Before I formed thee in the belly I

knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” But what God sees in a person and call them to minister to Him does not always have to fit the category of men. Sometimes those actually chosen do not fit the logic, reasoning, doctrines, and traditions of man. He calls the worse or crumbs of society at times but they do not remain crumbs for He sanctifies them and make them new creatures. Let’s take Jesus Christ of Nazareth calling of His disciples who would minister to Him and remain on earth to carry out the task after He had left the earth.

Those He called were not of human choosing but for divine purpose. He knew Judas before he was called and that His death would come through him but yet he call him. Matthew 9:9 is an example of a man called from the crumbs of life to minister to Christ. What do the following verses tell you about the call of Minister/Shepherds? I leave it to you dear reader to analyze them for yourself.

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I, Send me. And He said, Go, and tell this people….” (Isa. 6:8-9). “Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an Apostle, separated unto the Gospel of God.” (Rom.1:1)

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Rom. 10:14).

“For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to Glory of; for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! For if I do this thing willingly I have a reward, but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me. What is my reward then? Matthew 7:21 Read: Luke 19:29-35 29 And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, 30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. 31 And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him. 32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them. 33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt? 34 And they said, The Lord hath need of him.

35 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon. In Luke 5:1-7, Peter allowed the Lord to enter his boat and immediately, failure jumped out of that boat. It is wisdom to allow the Lord free space in your heart and life. He does not usually impose Himself on anyone, but expects us to invite Him. It is only the areas you allow Him to reign over that will be no-go areas for the devil. If you allow Him to reign in every area of your life, you will never know sorrow, defeat or poverty again. Some time ago, I visited a country not too far away from Nigeria to see some of our missionaries. At the airport, while awaiting the plane that will bring me back to Nigeria, I emptied my pocket to the missionaries since I knew my driver will be waiting to receive me at the airport in Nigeria. While waiting, the airline announced that the plane that was to take us to Nigeria will first stop over in a far way country before coming for us. Then I became hungry. I was not fasting and I had no money left on me. Suddenly it occurred to me that I could decree since my God was in charge. I simply decreed that the officers of the airline would have no rest until I left their country.

Within five minutes, they rushed to meet us upstairs and asked for those travelling to Nigeria. They asked if we have been given anything to eat. We replied in the negative and they brought us cakes and coke. I finished mine before others so the leader of the team gave me the last slice with another bottle of coke. Not long after that, we heard another announcement that the plane that should take us will first get to Nigeria before going to that far country. Then I prayed that their peace should be restored. When you allow the Lord to have His way in your life, not only will He reign in your life and circumstances, He will also cause you to reign over situations and circumstances. As you allow Him into every department of your life, the Lord will cause you to reign over every opposition and manipulation of the enemy. From today you shall reign over failure, sickness and barrenness. It is well with you. THE FATHER'S BLESSING:"I pray for you today! The Lord will reign over every department of your life! You will reign over every opposition and over Manipulations of the enemy! From today henceforth, begin to reign over over Failure! Over Sickness! Over Barrenness! You will never know Sorrow! Defeat or Failure in the name of Jesus! (Amen)

KEY POINT FOR TODAY: Calling Jesus Christ your lord is not enough; it is only the areas of your life that you give to Him that He will be lord over. Is Jesus truly your Lord?

God's Army

We are Soldiers of the Lord We must keep marching on The Battle will get very tough But Christ's already won! Satan is a liar He'll tell us we can't win We need to read our Bible and drink its Truth within! We need to pray together and share God's Living Word then when confusion threatens God's voice is clearly heard We know that when we fall God stretches out his hand and lifts us from the darkness and helps us all to stand!

God has made each one of us unique! Our fingerprints are witness to this! In 1930 John Dillinger escaped from prison. He had been convicted for murder and robbery. He dipped his fingers in acid and endured lots of pain in the hope that this would destroy his fingerprints - as they would grow back differently! He discovered he was wrong! They grew back THE SAME! His plan hadn't worked. Fingerprints are a sign that each person is unique and individual. God decided exactly how He would make us and nothing can alter His plans.
