He encountered grizzly bears, suffered aching joints and endured harsh weather but for Lindsay Gault it was all worth it. The Island Bay resident is home after completing a four-month fundraising cycling journey across Canada. Lindsay biked 12,000km from the Arctic to Atlantic coasts, via the Pacific coast, from June to September, raising over $10,000 for the Cancer Society. Family, friends and representatives from the Cancer Society put on a party at Brew’d bar in Island Bay on Saturday to celebrate his adventure and the money raised. Continued on page 2.
