In 2013 she took a year off to travel around South America before returning to work in a number of hospitals around the country. Sophie moved back to Wellington in 2016 to be close to family. She spent six months working in addiction medicine in Wellington before joining the team at Newtown. Sophie believes in a holistic and pre-
ventative health care model. She has a wide area of interests within medicine but is particularly passionate about care of the elderly and children. Sophie is also a keen sports woman. She plays football for Island Bay women’s team and enjoys competing in multi sports events and is currently training for an iron woman.
