Bay Harbour Keep it News Celebrating the Christmas season in a bright new store The team at the Epic Christian Bookshop in Ferrymead are celebrating their first Christmas in their bright new premises. Since moving from their Ferry Road store in January this year, they have been busy setting up in their new place, which is located in the building on the corner of Waterman Place and Ferry Rd – opposite Resene. And with Christmas approaching, the shelves are filled with lovely, Christmasthemed stock. This includes a range of Nativity scenes, Advent calendars,

Christian-themed Christmas cards and children’s Christmas storybooks. They also have plenty of Christianthemed gift ideas for family and friends. For those on your gift list who enjoy reading, manager Sandy Gallen and her team suggest having a browse through their new selection of inspiring true stories, and children’s and adult books by New Zealand authors. The latest releases in family and children’s DVDs, many of which are not available through online movie sources, are also on display. Other items include gifts and cards for Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation, Bibles in many languages, Bible stories for children in Maori, T-shirts, mugs and jewellery. All the profits from Christmas sales this year will go to the Christmas Blessing packs for refugee children in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. The packs contain clothing, books and toys, while family food packs will also be distributed to people in those countries.
To give people some extra time for Christmas shopping, Epic Christian Bookshop is having a special late night on Thursday, December 14, with the store staying open until 7pm. Shoppers will enjoy Christmas carols, cake and refreshments, plus there will be sale specials. There is also a lucky draw. Anyone who purchases during December will be in the draw to win back the value of their purchase. This includes purchasing through their website, epicbooks.co.nz any time in December. Online purchases can be posted, or collected from the store. Epic Christian Bookshop, on the corner of Ferry Rd and Waterman Place, is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and Saturday, 10am2pm, with plenty of off-street parking.
