FEATURE: As part of the golden oldies movie screening at New Brighton Museum, Higher and Higher (1944) will be showing. Starring Frank Sinatra, this musical, comedy/romance is loosely based on the musical of the same name. Higher and Higher marked the second of Sinatra’s 40-plus film roles and was nominated for a 1945 Oscar for best music, original song for the piece I Couldn’t Sleep a Wink Last Night, and also for best music.
