Soldiers Remembered Today until April 30, 9am-6pm The soldiers from Heathcote Valley who died in World War 1 are individually remembered in this exhibition. Staff from the library researched the lives of each of the soldiers listed on the Heathcote Valley War Memorial and have created a touching glimpse into the lives of some locals who paid the supreme sacrifice for their country. Free entry Mid-Week Laughter Club Tomorrow, 6-7pm The focus of the club is to get over the stress of the first part of the week and have a positive outlook for the rest. The event aims to release endorphins and help you relax and lower stress levels. There is no comedy, stand up or jokes at this session. STORYTIMES: Encourage your child to learn through a love for stories. Super Saturday Storytimes is an interactive programme, including stories, songs, rhymes and play. This will be a free session aimed at young children. It will be on Saturday, 11-11,.30am, at the South Library. Reading to Dogs Tomorrow, 3.30-4.30pm The programme uses dogs which are the beloved pets of the city council animal management team. These hairy friends have all been trained and tested for health, safety and temperament. The dogs can increase a child’s relaxation while reading, they listen attentively, do not judge, laugh or criticise and allow children to proceed at their own pace. Library staff and a dog handler will be present at all times to help facilitate the sessions. Sessions are 15min.
