SCIENCE: Science Alive! presents Science Snippets in the Library, a free after-school science programme in libraries across the city. There will be fun activities and new topics each week. This week will be the ‘it’s a gas’ workshop. Qualified educators will lead children through interactive activities to stimulate and grow their interest in science. The programme will run from 3.30-4.30pm at the Fendalton Library, 4 Jeffreys Rd. Entry is free. Community Art Sale Until Sunday The St Albans Art Society is selling memebers’ art. The society is a community group with members aged 60-91. There will be more than 100 paintings on display at very reasonable prices. Eastgate Mall, 20 Buckleys Rd, Linwood Reading to Dogs Today, 3.30-4.30pm These sessions have been designed to provide a relaxed and non-threatening atmosphere to encourage children to practice their reading skills and develop a love of reading. This programme uses dogs that have been trained
