Burglars hit Burwood BY KYLE KNOWLES Burwood has been gripped by a wave of burglaries. The break-ins are centred around the Lake Terrace Rd area. Police were unable to tell the Pegasus Post how many burglaries they were investigating. But the Pegasus Post has learned from residents that at least 10 houses have been broken into in the past three weeks. Waitakiri Primary School’s river

campus on the corner of New Brighton and Lake Terrace roads has had six break-ins in the last two weekends including four in one weekend leaving the school upset and angry. De Ville Place resident Julie Tolchard was burgled in mid-March losing electronics, clothing and jewellery and said she knew of at least 10 other properties being broken into over the last three weeks.
