This bathroom was small and outdated. The homeowner wanted a modern space that felt less confined and more airy.

ILLUSION BATH

The monochromatic color palette and new lighting plan help the space feel bright and open. The tile continues around the entire room, floor to ceiling, making the space feel and appear larger than it is. Floating vanity and a frameless shower door contribute to the openness while adding an air of modernism.

Too often the existing footprint of a kitchen or bath is restrictive and hinders the function of the space. A lot of the time this is due to the home’s age. As homes age, the way we live changes. The family lifestyle of the 1950’s is much different than the family lifestyle of the common millennial family. For example, we frequently have multiple working family members which has changed eating dynamics. Socially, the kitchen used to be a secluded space sealed off from the rest of the home. Now it’s where guests naturally gather and hangout. Today, the kitchen also holds many other functions such as office work and kid’s hobbies. The purpose of the modern kitchen is continually evolving from a single-use space into a multi-purpose area. This reinforces the need for having the proper team in place to address all issues from design to execution. Ideally, clients want to embark on a “turnkey” project. This means that everything, from floors to cabinets to structural work, is done in one fell swoop. Oftentimes, finding designers and contractors that can mesh well together on projects can be a bit of a struggle, or finding an accredited full-service remodeling business with design professionals can pose a challenge. This is where Ewing Cabinet Company and Ewing Building & Remodeling come into place. Here at Marlington and Main, our full-service design and remodeling team operate under one roof. This makes a “turnkey” project much more manageable because your contractor and designer work side by side. Just as there is no limit to the imagination, the client is presented with limitless possibilities because the Ewing team is there. The client is left with an amazing, updated space, and the Ewing team has successfully added images to their “before and after” portfolio. These images show the craftsmanship and pride put into each and every project, and the entire Ewing team is left with something to be proud of. E

This dilapidated old store front was in dire need of renovation. The façade needed an extreme makeover. The floor space was divided into three long and narrow dated units, the drop ceiling made the space feel short and the fluorescent lighting was cold and overbearing. The space was completely gutted offering new configuration and 14 foot open ceilings. The new design showroom hosts 12 vignette showcases each offering unique features and style to appeal to all budgets, lifestyles and personal taste. The ceiling and floor were selected to be black to set the stage for displays. The goal of Marlington & Main was to open minds to available options, combinations and to create a “WOW” at every turn.
