ikita Kahn’s approach to interior design is based on timelessness. She loves creating spaces that are comfortable and never go out of style. Through a neutral color palette, warm fabrics and updated, vintage, mid-century modern furniture, she designs luxurious, inviting, functional spaces that are both cozy and ethereal. A native of Ukraine, Kahn earned her bachelor’s degree in hospitality tourism and a Master of Business Administration before moving to the United States in 2009, where she started studying architecture and design. After finishing her degree from UCLA’s interior design program, she worked on personal projects, remodeling homes, before tackling bigger challenges, such as the Nobu Ryokan Malibu villas: “We created spaces that reflect the beach surroundings, using light woods, natural materials, and soft fabrics.” Kahn’s interiors speak to people looking to cultivate a sense of serenity, those who love to be surrounded by natural elements, soft lighting and subdued colors. “I gravitate toward a more minimalistic look that still feels warm.”

Being future-oriented, Kahn is always hungry for a new challenge and hopes to inspire others, especially girls and women, to pursue their passion and to work hard towards career goals. She is also a dedicated animal welfare advocate, assisting in the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA events and fundraisers, who believes that continuous learning and self-improvement are keys to a satisfying and meaningful life.
