P UT TING THE POWER C ONSUMERS ’ H ANDS We live in a very free country. We live in a nation where we get to exercise our freedom of choice every day of the week – every hour of the day. Whether it is our choice of career, of where we live, or of what we eat and drink – we get to make those decisions every day. We make these choices with our voice and with our dollar. Every time we acknowledge and purchase products and services, we have in fact voted for what we want with our dollar bills. Simple enough concept, correct? So
now we enter our hectic year of 2007 hoping to make changes. How do we effectively make this happen for ourselves when we live in a world that is so incredibly consuming? We consume!!! We vote for what we want with our dollars. I want nutritious and delectable food, therefore I will pay a premium for those products – no matter how far I must search for them.
