Everyone who is anyone is doing it -- and with more conviction than ever. As the world continues on its communal plight of planetary destruction, more and more countries, communities, companies, and individuals are stepping up and realizing that if we want to leave this earth a better place than when we arrived, we have to start by responsibly protecting it. Remember, collective thought and action can bring change.

reusable condition remodeling materials, such as doors, windows, bathroom fixtures etc., can be recycled at The ReStore, a project of Habitat for Humanity, located at 200 South Santa Fe Drive.

Mark your calendars for this year’s Earth Day Celebration sponsored for the 4th year by Pueblo Recycles, a non-profit volunteer group of earth-friendly citizens dedicated to promoting waste Happy Earth Day from reduction and recycling in Pueblo County through Contributing Author: Jo Scher education and special events.

We can still recycle 24/7 - aluminum and tin cans, newspaper, corrugated cardboard, junk mail, and glass of all colors. These recycling sites, sponsored by Pueblo City County Health Department, are located at Rocky Mountain Steel Mill off Abriendo (Pueblo), at the Pueblo West Metropolitan District (109 E. Industrial Blvd), at Civic Center Drive in Pueblo West, and at the General Store on McCulloch in Pueblo West (more information inside).

You can recycle household batteries at Lowe’s, the Health Department, Radio Shack or Batteries Plus. Clothing can be recycled at thrift stores, such as the ARC and Goodwill, with the Veterans, or at a local church. Used, working appliances and older, but in

It will be held at El Pueblo History Museum at 301 N. Union on Saturday. April 19th from HELP P ROGRAM 10:00-3:00. Come on out and meet some of The Main Event Pueblo’s finest green folks.
