D ESERT R EEF H OT S PRING months, and enticingly warmer during the winter. Norm & Tanya, Managers of Desert Reef Hot Spring
Nestled among panoramic mountain views, this high-desert oasis features travertine-blue water; a serene, peaceful environment; and relaxed, smiling faces - and is located only 20 minutes southwest of Pueblo West, just east of Florence. Comfortable and inviting year-round, 132°F calcium carbonate water flows from an artesian well to fill an expansive, natural outdoor pool. Crystal– clear water is air-cooled, and undergoes no chemical treatment. Flow-through rate is adjusted daily to strike a balance between air and water temperature refreshingly cooler than body temperature during the summer
In addition to the main pool, a smaller therapeutic pool, The Kettle, has recently been added. Kettle water is generally maintained in the range of 105°+. Plans for yoga and massage in the greenhouse are underway, as well as a clay bath area for the summer months. You are invited to enjoy a meditative walk along the hilltop labyrinth, and quiet reflection alongside the koi pond. Courteous adults and quiet children are always welcome. Bathing suit-optional, on any day you may choose to wear a suit, or not. As it is very important that all guests feel comfortable and enjoy their visit to the Desert Reef, it is expected that all soakers exercise conduct that ensures a respectful, noncharged, social environment.
