1. Course Objectives: The course provides students the design methods for industrial automated system. Continuous control are also examined in the course. Finally, the course provides programming technique for Human – Machine Interfaces (HMI) and Supervision, Control and Data Acquision (SCADA) that integrated with control devices on the low level.

2. Course outline: -

Introduction to stages in design and programming for industrial automation systems. Design and programming approaches using Process sequence bits. Design and programming approaches using timing diagram. Design and programming approaches using Flowchart. Design and programming approaches using State based diagram. Grafset language. Programming using Grafcet language. Continuous control and programming. Programming for Human – Machine Interfaces. Integration HMI with control devices. Recipe. Recipe control programming. Programming with SCADA software. Integration SCADA with control devices.
