Updating Your Profile Updating Your Directory Profile Encouraging your consultants to keep their individual profiles up to date is the key to maximizing the potential of SearchAlert and the Member Directory as the information found in these profiles determines to whom an RFP is sent. Ideally each consultant should list industry or functional specialties. In the case of those who are generalists, they should select “generalist” from the drop down list and also add three or four areas of expertise.

Updating Your Firm’s Profile Maintaining a current profile and contact information for your firm will ensure that clients of executive search will be able to get in touch with you. To assist with this process, we recommend designating an individual to communicate with the AESC regarding changes, general office information, company biography and staff lists. Changes should be submitted to

Responding to all RFP’s Even if you don’t think a particular RFP is right for your company, have a consultant send a quick note to the client thanking them for the RFP. Clients are often looking to establish relationships and not just complete a one-off search. Therefore, give them a brief summary of your specialties for future reference and take advantage of the opportunity to make an introduction.

Helping the AESC Build Our List of Corporate Contacts Many clients seek out AESC services on the recommendation of a colleague.
