DEBBIE BOWMAN END OF TRAIL RANCH At “End of Trail Ranch,” they are breeding and raising Longhorn cattle to meet the growing demand for the total package animal. Mike and Debbie Bowman acquired and raised some of the top genetics in the Longhorn breed today to achieve this goal. Debbie is continuing on with the legacy that Mike created. Most recently, she partnered with Ann Gravett, of G&G Longhorns, on the bull Sniper. At the 2016 Longhorn Extravaganza, the End of Trail Ranch was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for the dedication to the Longhorn industry shown by Mike and Debbie through the years. The ranch has a large number of breeding age cows and heifers in the herd that have some pretty impressive horn measurements. The herd sires have produced some of the rising stars of the Longhorn breed today in Longhorn events. All of Bowman’s cattle are eligible for all Millennium Futurities. FRED AND CHERYL BRYANT ELAH VALLEY LONGHORNS Elah Valley Longhorn Ranch in the Ozarks of southwest Missouri was born out of a retirement dream for raising cattle and country living. Before retirement, Fred Bryant worked in the agriculture industry while raising a son and two daughters. Upon retiring in 2005 and moving back to Missouri, the registered Longhorn part of the dream was a new “twist” (pun intended) when they decided they loved the looks of these critters. Before long, Fred and Cheryl had a nice starter herd of heifers and cows from well-established and recognized breeders. In addition to these, they added a pretty amazing herd sire, and things started moving fast. They continue to explore and add other blood lines to the herd and anticipate that the best is yet to come! In fall of 2015, they added 7 Bar Brandy’s Bailee from Tom and Linda Harman’s herd and another herd sire, Tuff ’s Titan, out of Cowboy Tuff Chex and FL Rio Maxine. They are excited to see what the progeny of these new additions will produce. They love the Longhorns, but perhaps the best part of the business is the incredible “family” of breeders that have become friends who they are thankful to have the opportunity to share life with. JOHN AND DARLENE NELSON CLOVERBLOOM RANCH Cloverbloom Ranch derives its name from John’s Grandmother’s farm in Minnesota. Founded in 1920, it was named after Mr. Clover who homesteaded it and Mr. Karlbluhm who was an intermediate owner. When John and Darlene Nelson decided to move out to the High Plains prairie, it seemed like a fitting name. They decided to raise some cattle at the Cloverbloom Ranch in Wellington, Colorado, and a friend of John’s got him interested in the Texas Longhorn breed. They bought two Longhorn 3-in-1 packages almost 20 years ago. At first they were not sure as to what to look for in the cattle, but over the years they have improved the quality of the cattle through AI, leasing of top-notch bulls, and raising some of their own top herd sires. They have been active in ITLA, and John is in his third term on the Board of Directors. They have been active in TLCA almost since its inception and are lifetime Founding Members. DAN AND TRACY JONES HOOSIER LONGHORNS Hoosier Longhorns is made up of four brothers and a sister, and each of them doing their part to raise quality Texas Longhorns. Calving season, for them, is like the pleasure an artist feels after creating a painting. The joy of the Texas Longhorn is not in selling it, but in the time spent raising, caring for, and getting to know each animal and their wonderfully created offspring. When they sell a Longhorn, and know that the new owner will love it as much as they have, that completes the circle! JOHN AND CHRISTY RANDOLPH LONESOME PINES RANCH John and Christy Randolph started raising registered Texas Longhorns at Lonesome Pines Ranch in Smithville, Texas, in 1992 with a goal in mind - big horned, competitive show cattle. Since that time, their focus shifted more to broadening the marketability of their herd. The Randolphs did this with the addition of LP Sombrah (a son of The Shadow). The quality of LP Sombrah is evident in the type of offspring he produced that is kept in their herd today. Sombrah measured 62” TTT on his second birthday. He grew to 72” by his fourth birthday, prior to tipping both horns 2-3 inches on each side. They still have those tips in a desk drawer today. Breeding Information: Exposed to RR Safari Dust from 10/6/17 to 3/10/18. Comments: OCV’d. RR Harper is the total package. She comes from Kent and Sandy Harrell’s breeding but she has been a pleasure for us to own. In 2017, she won class 5 Millennium Futurity and class 13 of the Winchester Futurity. Keeping on that futurity winning trend, we exposed her to RR Safari Dust ( a son of SBD). His momma is a HSC Futurity winner for the Loomis program and also adds exceptional horn to the package. At two years old she measured 60-3/4” TTT. Three months later at 27 months, she measured 65-1/5” TTT and project 93”. What’s not to love about RR Harper. She and her new owner will own the future. She is tested Johne’s free.

PPF Mimosa is one of our favorites, and she has produced some of our very best animals such as RR Remy and RR Cristal Dust. Mimosa has always been an industry leader and really stood out at the horn measurement contests. In 2010 she was over 53” as a 2 year old. That was pretty much an industry high mark at the time. She has gone on to win 17 bronzes since and currently measures 69” TTT and 115” TH. Even today, there are less than half a dozen cows with more total horn. She wants to be the dominant cow in the pasture, but is always gentle and easy to work. She likes to be hand fed cubes and is always asking for a hand out. Our hope is that she goes to someone that enjoys owning her as much as we have.
