DESIGN JOURNAL - Blitzmegaplex

BLITZMEGAPLEX - 2011 Academic Project Challange : Blitmegaplex is a newcomer movie theather in town. Altough it’s a newly built brand, their reputation in theater industry is comparable to its competitor Cineplex21. Through this project we’re required to analyze the brand’s strenght & weakness and use those valuable data to create a new and improved image of blitzmegaplex without bringing down its original value. Sollution : Approach to this project was to revamp blitzmegaplex image and I choose to emphasize on it’s logo. Since the previous blitzmegaplex brandmark didn’t represent any of the company value, element that shows blitzmegaplex as a movie theater which representated by film reel was added. Also logotype of the brandmark was personalized even more by emphasizing ‘blitz’ character in which value is to bring a fast and high quality service to customer, through that I added the sharp element in every edge of the typeface and use a modernized typeface to represent high quality keyword.

Jalinan Kasih Bagi Sahabat Setia - 2012 Academic Project Challange : We were required to establish a social campaign brand from scratch. Started with searching for relevant and plausible topic, determining campaign value and goal, assign campaign target market, calculating best approach strategy for the identity and how the visual execution gonna be. Sollution : This social campaign topic derived from my love of pets, especially dogs. I am aware that animal rights in our country isn’t as advanced as many other developed countries but I believe there’s no harm in educating ourself about how living in harmonies with other individual and also nature and animals will contribute a positive cause for a good quality life. Keyword for this visual identity is Humanis,Harmonious living and Moral where the illustration of human and dog represent relation between them thus create a humanis feel, the circle symbol along with the use of nature color palette represent a harmonious living and the illustrated human hand as a metaphor of being care/caring represent moral of the campaign.

Moluccas Guide Book- 2011 Academic Project Challange : We’re required to make a local guide book for typography class. The projects has to use relevant information and can be use in the future. Sollution : I decided to make a pocket guide book for its practicality. When travelling it’s crucial to pack items as efficient as possible. Hence thi pocket guide book is in pocket size so it can be easily carry around when travelling.

Entwined - 2012 Academic Project Challange : For editorial class student require to create a magazine with our preference theme along with it’s visual identity and magazine content. Sollution : ‘Entwined’ in bahasa indonesia means ‘terjalin’, I choose this nameplate because it fits perfectly with what i’m trying to achive, which is a creation of modern wedding magazine targetted for bride-to-be. The purpose of this magazine is to help them find a wedding inspiration from A-Z.

Bee’s House - 2013 Academic Project Challange : Bee’s House is an upcoming restaurant specialized in western food and also a wide range of beverage. They also serve beer, spirits and liquor. As it goes, Bee’s House become more popular with teenager who associate this restaurant as a place to enjoy alcohol and soon the restaurant turns into a venue for wild party and drink fest. As Bee’s House grows, several restraurant also open offering the same concept , so the owner feel the need to refresh Bee’s House Identity to be able to keep up with market trend and their competitor. Sollution : Since Bee’s House restaurant shifted on it’s target market whom at first was directed towards family dinner but later turns into a club-like restaurant packed with teenagers and young adults. I decided to rebrand Bee’s House visual identity into a more progressive looks. Young adults tend to change their preferences based on trending market, so it’s important for Bee’s House to keep up with this new changes not only in their service management, but also how they present and sell themself to the customer.

Re-packaging Cleo Mineral Water Challange : Cleo mineral water about to lauch their new product, which is an eco-shape mineral water that uses less amount of plastic in their eort taking part in preserving nature. Hence the new eco-shape bottle need a new face for their label design. Sollution : To reect the cut-back of plastic uses in their new product, I design the label into a much more smaller size to also help reduce amount of plastic needed. The new label not only eco friendly but looks even more sophisticated trough its new and clean layout.

Sarung Gajah Duduk - Booth Design Challange : Was to design Sarung Gajah Duduk event booth in a limited space of 3x3 m2. They need to showcase both of their product which is Sarung Gajah Duduk and Sarung Gajah Duduk Premium Collection Sollution : I decided to place both of product in opposite of each other so that customer can easily distinguish between products. Since each product has it own particle, each side has their own unique story tell on how and with what they’re made. Each story-telling method is diffrent according to their collection range. Regular productstory was printed on the wall so that customer can easily read it while browsing the product. On the other side, LCD tv was used to display video of the product historical story in a more sophisticated and elegant way reflecting it’s premium label.

Cartoon Network Amazone - Web Development Challange : This project is a collaboration between Cartoon Network, Amazone Waterpark and WIR - AR&Co, building the first augmented reality themed waterpark in thailand. My task is to create a website design ideas for their awesomely cool waterpark. Sollution : The website design was catered towards Cartoons network’s trademark that is fun and spontaneous. Since augmented reality and cartoon’s network character is used as their main appeal. Repetition of Cartoon Network’s character is necessary to attract kids alike.

WIR Group - Web Development Challange : Company I’ve worked under was undergoing some major changes and their website is one of them. Each of department requires to submit an idea and it was my idea selected to use as the company website. Sollution : Since WIR Group is a company that specialized in Branding. I design the layout specifically to emphasize their portfolio, I believe wide range of portfolio is the selling point of a design company, hence the ratio of picture space and text space is 50-50. Making it easy for customer to browse company’s portfolio.
