An Internship with the Adera Foundation will have a Global Effect

The Why The Adera Foundation shares the Gospel in both word and deed, transforming the lives of the poor with help and true hope. We do this through a combination of economics and education with a focus on eternity. The Adera internship is designed to help students use their talents and passions to practical use in a third world country. The intern will travel to Ethiopia for two weeks to see firsthand the work taking place through Adera. Each intern will participate in the various programs that Adera offers including IGA (income generated activities), the feeding program, ESL work and daycare. They will be exposed to the Addis Ababa University and sit in on social entrepreneurship classes. While in country, they will explore various opportunities and upon return, complete their internship over a six-week period in which they will be responsible for the development of business strategies, social media and online development, design work, nonprofit development, import research, and media promotion.

The Internship FrogJobs #53114 Information Session Wednesday, October 21 Noon – Tandy Boardroom Interviews: November 2-3 Timing: Ethopia Trip May 9-23, 2016 + 6 Week Virtual Internship in USA Students will apply to the Internship Scholarship Program for a $3300 award to cover $2700 travel costs and retain a $600 internship stipend. April and May will have four mandatory trip-preparation meetings. The Adera Foundation is looking for students who aspire to be servant leaders and who want to research and develop solutions for global poverty.

The Takeaway The TCU student will be an active participant in the ongoing work and development of Adera in Ethiopia. Each intern will have the opportunity to develop their personal global influence through existing programs, as well as the development of new strategic initiatives. At Adera we view students as future world changers and believe they will have eyes to see opportunities and ideas that have yet to be explored. The student will learn cultural diplomacy and the importance of listening to the indigenous people, observing their culture and allowing them to play a significant part in the solutions to their own needs.
