ORLANDO, FL, August 31, 2010‐‐ Today, Orange County Mayoral candidate Teresa Jacobs issued a letter to the Bill Segal Campaign calling for a series of 3 debates. Jacobs wrote, “This election is critical to the future of Orange County and we need to reach as many voters as possible as they determine our next leader.” Jacobs recommended each debate focus on a different topic important to the citizens of Orange County, with the first one covering jobs and the economy and ethics and transparency in government. Jacobs said the other two should cover issues such as growth management, transportation, public safety and the candidate’s leadership ability and views on how government should be run. The candidate requested an answer by September 3 so that the two campaigns could meet to set the dates, formats and ground rules. Jacobs suggested the League of Women Voters or any other appropriate organization host the debates. *A copy of the letter is attached* ### P.O.
