When completed, it will be the finest such facility in the Ohio Valley Conference, with 10,000 square-feet for the new weight room and 10,000 square-feet for indoor practice and conditioning. At an estimated cost of $2 million, the facility will also house dressing room facilities including a team room for the Golden Eagle softball program.
By taking advantage of expert instruction, Golden Eagle student-athletes are afforded every opportunity to maximize their athletic potential 66
The new building is going up west of the softball complex close to Pine Ave. The location allows for access to the newly built outdoor strength and conditioning area that includes an obstacle course, speed training sand pit, as well as a natural grass practice surface. Athletics is currently seeking financial support to furnish the building with state-of-the-art strength equipment to enhance the outstanding quality of the facility. To help Tech’s student-athletes with support for the purchase of equipment, please contact Grant Swallows, Associate Athletic Director for Development, either by phone (931-372-3929) or email at GSwallows@tntech.du.
