SHANEICE JAMES In 2016 (Sophomore): Despite her season being ended abruptly due to a shoulder injury, James was a key player on the Golden Eagle lineup... saw 61 sets over 18 matches, in which she started 17 of the matchups... led the Tech team in hitting percentage with a .310 mark, which also ranked her third amongst Ohio Valley Conference players. James tallied 114 kills, 12 digs, and 29 blocks over the 2016 year... led Tech in kills in four matches... set a career-high 13 kills vs. UT Martin (10/8)... tallied double-digit kills in three of Tech’s matchups. In 2015 (Freshman): James saw 115 sets over 30 matches... set a career-high 12 kills against Jacksonville State (9/29)... recorded a career-best six blocks versus UNC Greensboro (9/5)... scored 155 points, posted 102 kills and put up 85 blocks (second-most on the team) on the season... averaged .89 kills and .74 blocks per set and ended the season with a .096 attacking percentage. High School: James entered Tech with an impressive resume having set many Beachwood High records... completed her prep career with a school-record 15 blocks in a single match and with career highs in blocks in a season (128)... holds the record for blocks in a career (274), most digs in a match (20), most digs in a career (320), most serving aces in a match (8) and most serving aces in a career (64)... earned first team All-Chagrin Valley Conference and second team All-Northeast Lakes District in her junior and senior seasons.
