Welcome to Temple Beth-El TBE is a caring Jewish Community that warmly welcomes and engages members by providing a rich variety of religious, spiritual, educational, and communal opportunities. Temple Beth-El is committed to Jewish life and the evolving principles of Reform Judaism. Our membership reflects the wide variety of choices people make in living Jewish lives, and we are respectful of those differences. We welcome all who care about enriching Jewish life in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. The Jewish people are often known as the People of the Book. Our journey in history has been illuminated by a scroll — the teachings of Torah which guide each generation of Jews into joyous Jewish living and observances. At Temple Beth-El, you (and your friends and family and our entire community) are always welcome to open the wellsprings of Jewish knowledge and wisdom to explore and quest as we deepen our understanding of the Jewish past, present, and future. From books to films, from history to the avant-garde, we explore Judaism in a myriad of fashions and formats. Browse through this brochure of tantalizing offerings and savor the rich wisdom of Jewish learning. Enter our portals to discover the joy of Jewish learning and become part of the dynamic Jewish studies at TBE.

Healing Service Saturday, October 26 and February 8, 2014 5:30 pm Healing Service led by Cantor Judy Seplowin - Our healing service is a new ritual based on ancient traditions of prayer, care and community from Jewish traditions. We sit quietly, becoming fully present to ourselves and those around us; we sing some simple prayers and offer some simple wishes for healing. You don’t need to be ill to come, nor to be praying for anyone in particular. The healing service is based on the assumption that human beings are always in a state of becoming whole, that we are imperfect in our bodies and in our spirits and always in need of support to become our best selves. The Minyan Kaddish list will be read.
