Previously David had received an engraved fireman’s axe from the lads at the station, but today Chief Fire Officer Nathan Travis was here to present a certificate. Nathan said it was his first time in Tenbury but he wanted to offer just a few words, as it really was David’s night. On July 2nd a car ended up on its side on the A456, outside Tenbury’s Fire Station. Firemen were on the scene in a matter of minutes. They expertly got the car back on its wheels and off the road, allowing the road to be reopened. Police said there were two people in the car, but that nobody was worse than “walking wounded” following the incident.
