KEY CONSIDERATIONS WHEN CHOOSING CLEANROOM DOORS

Creating a sturdy door with a high hygienic performance is one of the biggest challenges. Here are the most important considerations when choosing hygienic doors.

Material used The material is the most important factor to consider. A door with good material will deliver excellent hygienic performance. It should be lighter and easier to repair.

Thick Door Panels Choose a door that is resistant to bending and shock. A thickness of 60 mm is ideal. It provides both strength and reliability under most industrial circumstances.

High level of air tightness What level of appropriate air tightness should high speed doors have? 3,5 m3/hm2 measured at 200 Pa pressure is a reliable and good value. Some doors can be equipped with double gasket technology and an integrated sink gasket, improving air tightness even more.

Safety glazing Safety comes first, especially in food factory doors. Each part of the product should be designed to meet the highest safety requirements. These must be shatter proof, safety glazing, means if the window breaks, it stays in place and there is no risk of scatter.

Premium hardware It's not only about surface of the door that requires special attention. Other details such as locks, door pullers and hinges should be of the best quality as well to assure durability and easy maintenance.

Locking options A mechanical lock will do the job equally well as the electronic lock systems. So if there is any risk of cut in the electric supply, mechanical lock should be there as an alternative.
