Blizzard Protection Systems manufacture the thermally resistant material Reflexcell™. Recent winner of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation, Reflexcell™ is a triple layered metallised polymer foil which expands to form insulating air pockets as well reflecting heat. It is lightweight and has excellent insulating properties. Blizzard Protection Systems use the material to manufacture their Blizzard Survival range of products including jackets, blankets and sleeping bags and also to manufacture the self heating product Blizzard Heat. Blizzard products are used in the treatment of hypothermia, shock, injury and other extreme outdoor situations.
