Fun With Cryptics

 Here is a simple cryptic crossword. At first these puzzles don’t make sense but actually they are easier than normal crosswords if you know how the clues work. There are only two types of clue in this particular puzzle: 1. In the first type the answer is hidden in the words of the clue. (See the bold letters in the first clue.) In one of these you have to read backwards.

2. In the second type the clue has the letters of the answer rearranged, i.e. an anagram. (See the bold letters in the clue for 9 across. If you rearrange the letters of “use a gas” you will find another name for “saveloy”.
