I thought me doing this one life sentence was rough until The first devotional I ever now that I know of someone wrote and the first one placed doing multiple life sentences in this newsletter was titled: in Federal Prison! I believe “Why Complain”, with the all prisoners at one time or topic scripture taken from Lamentations 3:39. especially another is guilty of comfor us who are incarcerated, I plaining about the food. But just think of how many peobelieve we should really exple who would “love” to amine what that scripture is have what we’re complaintelling us. ing about and turning our What brought that to my nose up at. remembrance was, I just finished reading Brother Antonio Oesby’s exhortation/ testimony from last month’s newsletter. First of all, thank you very much for the praise report Bro. Oesby. God is working miracles everyday behind these prison walls. But what caught my attention is the fact that Bro. Oesby is doing “multiple” consecutive life sentences! I never would have thought that from his writings and encouraging words that he shares with us. Just as Bro. Oesby was brought to his senses and started to see the good in his transfer, all of us should look for the good in the midst of our bad situations instead of complaining about it. One thing I try to do and will be more conscience of it is, always know there is someone worse off than you!

Wake up call my Brothers and Sisters! Prison should be a time of reflection and self examination, not murmuring and complaining, especially for us who say we are Christians! Thank you again Bro. Oesby for those words of wisdom. I pray others received as much from it as I did. For all of us let’s remember the words of the wisest man ever: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16) Be Blessed, V. Our Vision

The mission of “The Day of the Lord Ministries” is to embrace offenders, ex-offenders, and their family members with love through the various groups under our umbrella; to assist them in becoming equipped with the things they’ll need to be productive citizens, and loving family members.

Membership in The Day of The Lord Ministries includes all persons participating in any of the stated Ministries who choose to embrace our stated vision and values

To be an instrument through which the power of the Holy Spirit can minister to offenders, exoffenders, and their family members. Causing them to be self confident as they learn their purpose; to develop a new attitude toward their circumstance and rise above it.

“Yet man is born to trouble, as sparks fly upward.” Job 5:7 “TROUBLES IS A PART OF LIFE” Some of us believers think we are exempt from the troubles of life. I say this because of how I’ve witnessed many believers deal with issues in their life. Some panic, go into depression, turn to alcohol or drugs as an escape, and some blame God or say: “Why me?” Whether your troubles are punishment from God, (Lamentations 3:39) or just something He has allowed to happen, I want to impart these scriptures in your spirit. 1 Peter 4:12 says: “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you.” Notice that it says: “which is to try you”, meaning these things are coming. It also points out that there’s nothing strange about these troubles, everyone experiences them. James 1:2 is a very common scripture on today’s subject, yet most difficult to practice. Christians are to count it all joy when troubles come our way. How can we count it all joy? Because Romans 8:37 says: “Yet in all these things (troubles vs. 35) we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” But we have to conquer our troubles through Jesus and not on our own. We’re living in a world that is full of troubles, and it’s only a matter of time before you experience some. I encourage you not to panic or quit on God, but rather go to God through faith, and remember Jesus has made a way for you to escape every trouble (1 Corinthians 10:13). Troubles are a part of life; prepare yourself to deal with them! Be Blessed! Virgil L. Wilson Sr.

“I PRAY” Upon my knees I fall each day, to praise and honor His name; to give Him glory for who He is, and the Father receives the same. I pray for peace and prosperity, good health and joy untold; I pray for guidance and understanding, as Solomon did of old. I pray for forgiveness for weak I am, and sinful in many a way; but He offers so boldly a second chance, and that chance still stands today. I pray for the sick and weak of heart, to use and take their place; for they too can run with confidence, this true and Godly race. I pray the children our precious ones, the gift He gave to man; and the very strength of woman He gave, she assures her mate will stand. I pray most earnestly giving all my thanks, each day I see the sun; for I know for certain I’d be in my grave, if He had not sent His Son. By Danny R. Dean Released: 2/7/2014

Confess God’s Word! FAVOR Confess that you are Favored! God’s path is the favored path! As God’s child, you are loved and favored, and His unmerited grace and mercy is yours. His hand on your life can also bring you favor with people. Confess these affirmations based on scripture and draw in the priceless favor of God! Esther 2:15 - Like Esther, I have favor in the sight of all who see me. Submitted by: Reynaldo Paniagua

A Day of Love to a Lifetime The world sees February 14th as the biggest, most financially rewarded experience for retailers. God opened ‘love’ when he allowed his son to be born of a virgin. Love, as he grew to fulfill the prophecy. Love, when he endured our sins and punishment. Love, when Jesus Christ gave himself and breathed his last breath on earth. The bible has countless commands, demands, and instructions on how love should be handled. But for this article, we are just going to mention a few for those that love as husbands and wives. It begins with Proverbs 18:22 - He who finds a [true] wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. Specifics are directed, like Ephesians 5:28 – Husbands ought to love their wives. Also, verse 33 – each one of you also must love his wife. Titus 2:4 – women to love their husbands. Hebrews 10:24 – spur one another on towards love. And lastly, Song of Solomon 2:4 – his banner over me is love. Again there are so many forms of healthy love for a relationship. I only chose a few, but you are free to study love and guide yourselves to understand how to love each other in the character of Christ. Husbands and wives, as true followers of Christ, are you fully prepared to give unconditional love to one another? Many of you have or should have mentors for your marriage. Marital love is so not an easy road, but is worth every bump. Stay on the road and do not think the detours will promise a better road. Love is a daily action!! Love one another through the other 364 days of the year, just as Christ loves you. The calendar day is coming that we will celebrate Easter. Reminiscing on what Christ endured for each of us, so we could live a life worthy. To the man or woman in the mirror, have you lived worthy of the one that prevented your death? Have you ever considered how Christ never called for back-up, never complained or whined, never pointed his finger to highlight what another did to make himself better? Really consider that love. Christ loved and absorbed what you did, before you did. He absorbed hurtful decisions, financial choices, everything that was done in your flesh – He covered by His blood. Calvary still stands today in Jerusalem, but more importantly the action of love done there covers you right now. As husbands and wives that believe in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, allow your genuine love to be shown daily. You are not just husbands and wives, soul mates, but friends that love deeply. Remember this, when you think of one another, pray and thank God for this special love. Remember this, when you write, pray and thank God for this special love. Remember this, when you talk, pray and thank God for this special love. Remember this, when you breathe, pray and thank God for this special love. Never forget…John 15:12-13 - …Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. Start your first day to love as Christ and experience a lifetime of His love. God’s great love is incredibly, try it out. " How God called me to Ministry" - Part 12 Alonzo D Fuller #604169, Clements Unit 9601 Spur 591, Amarillo, Texas 79107 The New Testament Prophet is a Seer I’ve written previously about several aspects of the prophetic ministry. Another element of his ministry is that the prophet is a seer. A seer is one who sees into the spiritual realm through the gift of discerning of spirits. A vision is a manifestation of the gift discerning of spirits in operation. This particular gift allows the prophet to see and hear into the spiritual realm. Many prophets in the OT and NT were seers. They had revelation gifts of the Spirit operating in their ministry on a consistent basis. Let me give you an example of seeing and hearing in the realm of the spirit and knowing things supernaturally by the prophet’s office. It first happened in 2008. I was sound asleep when suddenly the Holy Spirit woke me up. I knew it was the Holy Spirit, because He’s dealt with me plenty times on prompting me to pray when He comes to wake me up. this particular night, I was tired and exhausted. I was asleep before my head hit the pillow. And now, the Holy Spirit wanted me to pray! I didn’t want to, so my body growled-griped and grumbled. Reluctantly, I crawled out of bed onto the floor. I mumbled a quick prayer of no meaning thinking it was good enough, and like a flash I was back in bed. It wasn’t very long until the Spirit woke me up again. as before, I jumped out of bed, kneeled on the floor and rambled off some words, and jumped back in bed. This went on for several hours until I perceived in my spirit… (let me warn you of something)… There’s a valuable lesson everyone can learn from my experience, whenever the Spirit of God prompts you to pray, PRAY! Our flesh is weak. It doesn’t want to obey the things of God. If you allow your flesh to control your life, it will take you from one defeat to another. And believe me, if you don’t do anything about it, your flesh will take control. Spiritual things will become more distant to you. Had I continued to neglect and ignore the Spirit of God, He would have backed-off and never use me again in that area… I perceived in my spirit if I refused to pray, God would never use me again. I didn’t want that. I saw that my clock read 11PM. I leaped out of bed onto the floor. I said to the Lord:

“Holy Spirit, You see everything, You know everything and You know what to do. I don’t know what to pray for, nor how to pray about the situation, Give me the utterance to pray in tongues to the Father that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” I began praying in tongues. At first, it seems that I was working something up in the flesh. But, I continued praying in tongues. Now, my clock read 11:30PM. It felt like hours, and I wanted to get up and climb back in bed, but I pushed myself. It’s 12 midnight, and here comes the devil with his thoughts into my mind - “you’re

wasting your can be in bed sleeping...nothing is going to happen can pray in tongues tomorrow after resting…” and on he went, yackety-yackety-yackety! I continued. Its 12:30AM, and I’ve bee

praying on my knees for approximately 1 1/2 hours, when I struck fire. I’ve prayed in tongues many times, but this was something different. I sensed something rising from deep within me, because the tongues took on a life of its own. It was a little after 1AM, I hit a gusher! For the first time, I entered into the spiritual realm. I saw in a vision a basketball court that resembles those on apartment complex. My mind had nothing to do with this. This was spiritual. In this vision, I saw a woman on her knees, with her son cradled in her arms and lap. She was calling out to the Lord, because her son had a knife stuck in his chest. I was standing there praying in tongues, as she prayed in her known tongue. We were praying together. The vision gradually closed. The Lord taught me a lot through that experience. I want you to see something here. That was a revelation from the Lord. It was a demonstration of the Word of knowledge operating together with the gift of discerning of spirits in the prophet’s ministry. I saw and heard things in the spiritual realm, and the word of knowledge revealed things to me about the vision. There’s more.

Men and Women of God: I entreat you by the mercies of God today, while the blood is still running warm to commit your ways unto the Lord that He may sustain you in all that you do. Not only is our God a sustainer, but He is a deliver, a healer, a comforter, a provider, just an all sufficient God! Even now I pray and believe that He touch this brief exhortation from line to line that the writing, reading, and applying of His Word may be blessed now and forevermore. I want to talk to you about God’s love; as well as, His power. It’s a very common usage of scripture that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. This is an expression of God’s love according to the scripture. It’s also a form of His grace toward us. We know that God is love. Love by acronym is Let Our Values Equal. Amos 3:3 ask, “Can two walk down the same road less they agree?” So there’s benefits in love such as unity. There’s power in unity like there’s power in love. Then we have grace/God’s Riches At Christ Expense! Unmerited favor. We can’t earn it, but yet we have access to the Kingdom of Heaven at the expense that Christ paid on Calvary’s cross over 2000 years ago. Talk about an all expense paid vacation. Talk about honoring your workers. If we work for Christ He guarantees life and life more abundantly. You can’t go wrong there. He told us that in this life we would face trouble, but to be of good cheer for He has overcome the world. Romans 8:37 says, “We are more than conquers. When we are in Christ we can conquer anything that sets itself against us by believing in the work that has already been done for us. We have power through the Holy Spirit if we believe to speak to our problems and they have to move. All we have to do is line our will up with God’s will and obey His word and He’ll fill any request we make of Him. That’s love. That’s power. Our love moves God. When God speaks the earth listens. When we love God listens. You want to move God to act on your behalf? Love your neighbor. In spite of how he or she treats you give them your last. Give them your time. Malachi 3:8 talks about a mere mortal robbing God. It says we rob Him by tithe and offering. Our tithe is 10% of our earnings. Offering is 10% of our time. How much time are we giving today? I close with this … We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we know who holds tomorrow! So it’s time to stop telling God how big our problems are, and start telling our problems how big our God is!!! Love you with the love of God. Until the next time pen and paper meet I’m Charles King lifting you up in Jesus’ name. May you receive what God has for you!!! Charles King #1861293 Eastham Unit 2665 Prison Road #1 Lovelady, TX 75851

HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF? Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ and all others too! Recently, as I was pondering on the word of God. I received a question in the spirit, “How do you see yourself?” this question took me by surprise and I began to pray as I sensed the Lord was going to give an insight on this. Let me tell you family, the enemy tried to withstand me from receiving what I needed to hear and see. I’m going to use a couple of scriptures to identify the principal of what I received. As members of the Body of Christ, we carry blessings and cursings within ourselves with the use of our tongues. By this I will say that even by our love for God, we must began to understand that what we hear or what we say affects the heart in ways that seem as nothing, yet it means everything. First, the Word says “the tongue has the power of life and death” (Pro. 18:21)! What we say reflects the fruit of our hearts. To speak life means that we bless others with the words of encouragement, of edifying the body, to uplift one another. To speak death, is to curse others with negatives, defeat, put downs, etc. etc. Second, the Word of God says “reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing (Pro. 12:18 NIV)” and “the tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit (Pro. 15:4 NIV)”. “Reckless Words”, take that into consideration and see what comes to mind and ten apply it as if your stabbing someone with it, also think on how a tongue would crush a spirit. Now the flip side, the tongue of a wise person brings healing as if they are a tree giving (speaking) life. Third, the Word of God says “with the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men/ women, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers/sisters this should not be” (James 3:9-10 NIV) “Cursing” - what do we see in this word? It’s bringing down upon someone what we believe them to be, accuse them as the accuser does to us, whispering to others what we think of them, spitting out words that will be damaging to them (crush the spirit) (piercing like a sword), yet we praise God, bless God with it so that we can say were praising Him. What we speak matters and to conclude where all this is at, allow me to say that what we say about anyone, even our loved ones, brings into fruition a condemnation against them. It its on the negative side of things such as “they won’t amount to nothing, don’t do nothing right, they are this and that, so forth & so forth” I know you get the picture, think on it, let the spirit speak to you. Now, when I was referring to the listening aspect of it, the enemy seeks where he can drop a seed or a small stone. The seed so that the word that’s spoken against a person will plant itself into becoming a stronghold. The small stone, to be the starting base of a wall built up with many small stones added up into a belief of what people say about a person. The enemy does not want for us to see or hear how these seeds or stones will be of an effect on a person. He doesn’t want us to see “How Do We See Ourselves” with what has been chucked at us. I encourage each and everyone of you brothers and sisters to call on our God and ask the Spirit to show if there is any seeds or stones that are being hidden by the enemy. Renounce those lies and begin to see yourself in how God sees you and from where He’s brought you from. Speak life brothers and sisters into the lives of others. May all be blessed and prayerfully I ask that this word would be a blessing to someone. Respectfully Yours In Christ, Humberto “Big G” Garcia

James 4:4 #2 The spirit of the World (Greek aton) is one of the perennial enemies of the believer. World refers to the world system - to all its values, mind-set, philosophies of life, and priorities that run contrary to the will and way of God. The world suggests that your success requires you to turn away from the path of godliness - to neglect developing your relationship with God. But Jesus said a life without God or the things of God is worthless, regardless of its appearance (Mark 8:36). Romans 12:2 provides a strategy to combat the pull of the world, through the renewal, or “reprogramming,” of our minds. The Holy Spirit power can transform our minds (Phi. 2:5, 13; Titus 3:5) and redirect us toward the things of God (Phi 4:8). To gain victory over the devil, resist him! To gain victory over the world, renew your mind! 1 Peter 5:8 #1 A believer’s growth may be hindered or halted by three distinct enemies: the devil, the world, and the flesh. We are warned how the devil walks or roams about like a lion. When lion hunt, they look for weak, young, isolated, unguarded animals. They are the ones marked for attack. The Devil’s ultimate agenda, is to destroy us, not merely to hunt, maim, or discourage but to devour and destroy us. He does that when he gets us to bow to circumstances, pressures, or forces of his evil design, hoping thereby to make us yield to him. To overcome, adopt a reverse: B.O.W. to Jesus, the one you Believe, Obey, and Worship. He overcame, refusing to bow to Satan’s devices (Matt. 4:8-10), and our growth in Him will bring the same ability to resist or stand against the devil (1 Pet. 5:9). Be clothed in the full armor of God: be armed with the Word of God (Eph. 6:10-14), believe Him (Heb. 11:6). Obey Him (1 John 3:24), and Worship Him (John 4:23). Receive Christ’s overcoming victory! Ephesians 4:17-19 Five traits of a worldly walk are summed up in the word futility. (emptiness, purposelessness): darkened understanding, alienation from God, ignorance of God’s way, hardened heart, and an unfeeling state (The Greek word means “to have ceased to care.”) Ephesians 4:20-24 Be renewed in your heart and mind. Do not live as you did when you did evil things. Put off your old self and put on the new self, created in the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:25-5:2 These hortatory sentences address seven areas of Christian speech and conduct, most exhortations being followed by a motivating reason. Ephesians 4:26 Being angry may win a moment, but it is not to be allowed to win a day.

C.I.A. “C.I.A.” means, Christians In Action: people of faith who spread the Word of God in words, actions, and with our lives!! “C.I.A.” will respond to God’s invitation to an intimate love relationship with Him, He brings us into a special partnership with Himself. Christians are kingdom people, and Christ Himself is the eternal King and His kingdom. And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen (Revelation 1:6) The imputation of righteousness lies at the heart of the biblical doctrine of salvation, this righteousness is seen in Christ who purchased redemption; God grants righteousness to those who have faith in Christ. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:7) The “C.I.A.” relationship with Christ as King, gets us involved in His mission to reconcile a lost world to God...To be related to Christ is to be on mission with Him; we cannot be in relationship with Jesus and not be on mission. Then said Jesus to him again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. (John 20:21). The righteousness imputed or reckoned to believers is, strictly speaking, an alien righteousness. It is not the believers own righteousness but God’s righteousness imputed to the believer… Jesus provided for our salvation through His death and resurrection when Jesus returned to heaven, God fashioned a new body of Christ through the Holy Spirit; this body is the believers God has added to the church!! If a person claims to be a Christian and to love Jesus; yet we treat our Christian brothers and sisters harshly, if we are unkind and unforgiving toward them and argumentative… if we publicly ridicule them or slander their name (s), and unwilling to help in the time of need!! God established each church as a body of Christ so He can continue His redemptive work in the world, when Christ functions as the Head of His church, God will use the body to carry out His will in every part of the earth. The church is a living organism, the body with Christ as its Head, each part of the body is to Christ and to one another. So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. (Romans 12:5) Asserting self in the body of Christ robs Christ of His rightful authority as the Head of the body and yielding our loyalty or allegiance to anyone other than Christ is spiritual adultery. “C.I.A.” must learn to walk with God in intimate koinonia (fellowship) with Him and with one another take time, but God is the One who does that kind of miraculous work...Koinonia with God is the basic element of salvation and eternal life. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (John 17:3) WE ARE CHRISTIANS IN ACTION!!! Men of Valor & Power

Remember, God is always at work. Even when our lives seem out of control, God is working His plan for our lives. He “doeth great things and unsearchable; marvelous things without number,” we read in Job 5:9. When change is unwelcome, these words remind us to be open and alert to God’s varied and unusual ways of aiding us and working on our behalf. Here’s a story of a sole survivor of a shipwreck that will teach us a useful spiritual lesson. In the 17th century, a sailing vessel crossing the Pacific was battered and broken by a fierce typhoon. The one and only survivor managed to land upon a small, uninhibited island. He was able to do this by desperately clinging to a wooden beam from his ship. After much trouble and considerable effort, he built a crude hut where he placed all the belongings that had washed ashore from the sinking ship. Each day, he prayed to God for deliverance, and he continually scanned the ocean horizon to hail any ship that might pass by. One day, upon returning from a search for food, he was horrified to find his hut in flames. Everything he had was gone. Feeling that things could get no worse; the man looked toward heaven and cursed God. About three hours later, however, a ship arrived, and the captain said, “we saw your smoke signal.” God helps and guides us in unusual and unexpected ways. Don’t fail to recognize God’s activity because of rigid expectations and resistance to change. Remember, God is always at work —— for you!!! Men of Valor & Power Ministries Rev. Darnell Johnson

“HEAVEN: OUR HOME” Isaiah 65:17 “For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall be remembered, nor come to mind.” 2Peter 3:13 “Nevertheless we, according to his promise look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwellth righteousness.” 1 John 2:25 “And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even ETERNAL LIFE” This place, called earth, is not our home. There are two other places we have to chose from for our eternal home. There are no ifs, buts, or woulds, nor shoulds when it comes to choosing, we either choose Heaven or Hell, the choice is ours. Heaven is the Holy place where God dwells, (Isa 66:1, Ps. 11:4; Matt. 5:16). Hell is the place prepare for the devil and his angels (Matt. 25:41), and is the place of eternal torment. Hell wasn’t prepared for us, but in Rev. 21:8 says “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murders and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Brothers & Sisters can you imagine the day when you will stand before God’s magnificent presence, beholding his beauty and majesty? In Rev. 4:9-11 tells us that the four beasts give glory & honor to him that sits on the throne. When they do that the 24 elders fall down before him and worship him, the one that lives forever and ever and cast their crowns before the throne saying “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory & honor & power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” When they cast their crows before God they are acknowledging the supremacy of God. See, the day we stand before God and the Lamb of God, Jesus, we want be able to stand still but we are going to fall to our face worshipping him, giving him honor and glory. In verse (11) says that we are & were created for his pleasure. We are created for his pleasure. In Jesus Christ, God’s beloved son, we have the promise of a new life, a new beginning. In him we can have everlasting life (John 3:16-17). We can start living this new life here in earth, but this earth shall pass and we will be going to heaven, with our creator. One day we will stand before God’s throne giving him account for every single thing we done or said while we were in this earth. The books will be open where all our deeds are written down. And the book of life will be open too. If our name is written in that book we will enter into the New Jerusalem. There we will live with God, were He will wipe away all our tears, where there shall be no more death, sorrow, nor crying, not it will be more pain (Rev. 21:4). It also says in Rev. 21:22-25 “And I saw no temple therein; for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And all the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honor into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.” Rev. 22:5 “And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign forever and ever”. What a wonderful promise that is to be with God and to reign with him forever. CONTINUE ON NEXT PAGE>

“HEAVEN: OUR HOME” - CONTINUES But if your name is not found written in the Book of Life that person shall be cast into the lake of fire (Rev. 20:15), because nothing that is defileth will enter into the New Jerusalem, only which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. (Rev. 21:27). So prepare yourselves because Jesus soon will come back. 1 John 2:28 tells us to abide in Him, so when he shall appear we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 1 Jn. 3:2-3 “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” We must be ready, holy and without stain because we don’t know when he is coming back, we just know that it’s soon. (1 Pet. 3:10). 1 Thes. 5:6—”Therefore let us not sleep as do others; but let us watch and be sober” verse 8-9 “But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Pet. 3:14 “Wherefore, beloved seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. In Mt. 6:33 tells us to seek first the kingdom of God. Seek it! Dedicate yourself to search for it, to receive the free ticket into the wonderful and beautiful New Jerusalem, where our Father will be our light forever. Remember that for God a day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day and he is not lacking concerning his promise, but he is longsuffering toward us because he doesn’t want not one of his children to perish (2 Pet. 3:8-9). He loves us so much that he is waiting for us to come to repentance. Brothers and Sisters, stay pure and holy! We haven’t made it yet, so we must be diligent when it comes about prepare ourselves for our Lord and Savior. If you fall get up, ask for forgiveness and let Jesus cleanse you of all iniquities. Let his wonderful word purify your spirit. Always remember that all this is not in vain, we will receive our reward in heaven. I’m not going to tell you to motivate each other, because the love you have for Jesus should be your motivation to want to go to heaven. If you love him with all your heart, mind and all you might you will want to be with him eternally, loving and worshipping him. One Love Ministries Sarai Gomez #1410542 Hobby Unit

WHY ARE YOU WORRIED? Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” What’s going on in your life right now? Work? School? Family? Dating? What kind of problems are you facing at this moment? Bills? Flat tire? Not enough time in the day to do everything you need? Relationship problems? All of the above? We are all guilty of letting everything in our lives overwhelm us periodically, and to us it’s an acceptable way of life. Life is so fast paced these days, constantly changing during this era of technology. In this society the more distractions you have from life, the better. Have you gotten the latest video games or movies? Watched the latest sports games? Been to your favorite bar? Read the latest tweets or blogs from your friends? Fast is now the norm of life, where communication with the world has become impersonal. What about when problems happen? We want answers, right? But we want the answers right now! I want the answer right now! Fix it now! This can’t wait, it needs to be handled right now, because it is getting in the way of what I have going on? So instead of giving the problem over to God along with the feelings I am experiencing, I’ll stress about it. I’ll frustrate myself further until I solve it… all by myself. Okay, now you solved your problem, but now you are stressed out, you are behind in work because you had to take the rest of the day off to handle it, you have a headache, and when you get home you have kids, dinner, and laundry to tend to! The list could go on and on, but all of this could have been avoided, by simply giving your Father the issue to begin with. Why? Why do we do this to ourselves? Jesus said, “Come to Him all who are weary and burdened and I will give you “rest”. Give Him your problems brothers and sisters. He can help because He already knows your problems, your stresses, your troubles, and He has promised to take care of them for you. We spend our whole lives walking through the fire while Jesus awaits us on the other side with a blanket stretched out in His arms. Beckoning to us “COME!” while we walk our way gingerly He blessed us on our way. Yet, when we get within a few yards from him, a situation occurs that makes us turn from Jesus, AND RUN BACK INTO THE FIRE! Why? What did we achieve by doing this? Nothing except causing ourselves more grief and agony through our own actions? As we come to understand what we did wrong, we turn to face Jesus again, we begin the long trudge back through the fire, and He’s still patiently waiting for us, for you, to come back to Him, so He can give you rest. He knows your thoughts, your every need, and He also knows how you feel in every situation. He will never give up on you, no matter how far back into the fire you have run. All you have to do is tell Jesus.” Jesus, I ask that you make me weaker, I cannot do this without you. I can’t go any further without your help.” as you feel His hand on your shoulder He says to you “Come my son, my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Cor. 12:10). When you experience problems, no matter big or small, significant or insignificant, let Jesus help you, let Him handle them. We have no reason to worry about anything. God has already given us victory in all things. Have you already forgotten this on the account of a few minor setbacks? Give it to Him, don’t try to let it overwhelm you. Those feelings are not of God. Don’t let stress make you feel like you need a drink of liquor or beer, or the need to do drugs. Don’t let stress anger you, don’t bottle up your anger and unintentionally unleash it on undeserving people. CONTINUE ON NEXT PAGE→

WHY ARE YOU WORRIED? Those ways are not our ways. We are to pursue a life of righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. (1 Tim. 6:1) Last, keep this on your minds… (1 Tim. 6:6-10) For we have brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptations and a trap, and many into foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many grief's: We have no reason to endure these grieves. Slow down, pray, meditate, and listen. When you have a problem, if you are listening will you will hear Jesus saying, “Come to me, and I will take care of it because I love you, and you had faith that I would. By: Alberto Lopez #1801898 Coffield Unit 2661 FM 2054 Tennessee Colony, TX 75884 MAKING LOVE REAL - PART I AUTHOR UNKNOWN - Submitted by Samuel V. Harris Write out a list of three or four struggles that weigh on you the most - the things that occupy your mind when you are quiet and still. Actively give these things to GOD. Ask Him to take control. Be honest with Him about your inability to fix everything. Consciously choose to depend on GOD. This will require you to trust and take a risk. When you feel like taking back control from GOD, remember, exercising trust and learning dependence on Christ. It is essential to growing your capacity for love. AN ADEQUATE FOUNDATION COMMITMENT - PART II We throw the word love around, using it to describe an assortment of feelings and behaviors. Some of the abuse of the word “LOVE” is quite unintentional and relates to the limitations of the English language. We love our spouse, we love football, we love chocolate chip cookies. The word “LOVE” can not mean the same thing in each case. We need to ask ourselves (WHAT IS LOVE?) What does a ripened and mature love look like? When we come upon the real article, how will we recognize it? A man who acts inappropriately towards a married woman - using as his excuse the urgency of his feelings, saying that he is in love - vice or versa - is deluding himself no matter how strong the feelings and problems in that moment, is not that loves to much but loves too little. If we truly loved her as God loves her we would act in her best interest and would not do nothing that would risk harm to her, her marriage, or her family. Vice or versa. Love is a commitment of the will and joy of the spirit that expresses itself in the choice to act in the best interest of the beloved. This definition has three parts, each of which is essential. First of all to understand the LOVE of GOD. We must understand that “GOD’S LOVE” is rooted in commitment. God’s love expressed through human life, is characterized by the same kind if patience and faithfulness that he gave us. Its limits are not dictated by emotions. We walk into a new relationship, bright eyed with a sense of awe and wonder about the other person isn’t as perfect as we first hoped. To be continued in the next newsletter. Everyone stay blessed and loved, by the best. Your Brother In Christ, Samuel V. Harris Goree Unit

“WHO HELPED YOU DETERMINE WHAT IS THE RIGHT WAY TO TREAT PEOPLE?” The above question, is one that was asked in my today’s “Daily Bread” reading. When I first read it, immediately thereafter, I knew I had to put my thoughts down on paper. In no way did it take much mental effort for me to consider “who the people are that (helped me determine what is the right way to treat people), “ for they are, “both my birth parents; my mother’s foster sister; my mother’s male cousin; and a close friend of the family (on my mother’s side of the family)… who I use to refer to as an Uncle. Each of them had a very strong impressionable influence on my life, but unfortunately, (not) in a good way. How they treated me, is ultimately how I learned to treat those who I came in contact with. Whatever kind of (pain) they inflicted upon me, I demonstrated that and worse onto other’s. I was a devil by nature, but not by choice! The aforementioned people played a very significant role in “HELPING ME DETERMINE WHAT IS THE RIGHT WAT TO TREAT PEOPLE…” more than they should have been allowed to; but as I grew older and matured in (GOD’S WORD), I soon realized that, “their way of teaching was all wrong, and that I could not continue living in the dead state of mind that I had developed—through year’s of (mental, emotional, and physical) abuse.” “AND DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD, BUT BE (TRANSFORMED) BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, SO THAT YOU MAY PROVE WHAT THE WILL OF GOD IS, THAT WHICH IS GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT” (ROMANS 12:2). The process of (change) was not an easy one, I must admit, because my heart had become hardened with layers upon layers of “stubborn evil.” “BUT GOD!!!” When HE is in it, “all things are possible.” As my hunger for the word of God increased, and I begun to dig into HIS word (daily)… establishing a “relationship” with HIM, the iceberg surrounding my heart began to melt away. “Help came my way...even when I was too ignorant to realize just how badly I needed it!” And the beauty of my transformation process, are the people that GOD used to “help me determine what is the right way to treat people - “ in the actual right way - and they are, “MY AMAZING WIFE AND WONDERFUL AUNTIEMAMA.” The both of them have been my well of water in the middle of the desert, when everyone else turned their backs on me and ran away...leaving me to die of EMOTIONAL DEHYDRATION. They have taught me how to (love), simply by how they so freely and sincerely loved me (UNCONDITIONALLY). And it’s “the love of GOD that oozes out of them, that enamors me to seize opportunities (such as this), to spread the love and wisdom of a selfless Christian a people who themselves need transforming. The point of this message, is simply to convey to those who have ears to hear and a heart of flesh to receive, that (some) people are “toxic,” and (some) people are “healthy;” but everyone in their own right are contagious. And based on who you allow to be part of your world, will ultimately play a major role in “HELPING YOU DETERMINE WHAT IS THE RIGHT WAY TO TREAT PEOPLE.” Do you get my point? I hope so! May the LORD add an extra teaspoon of HIS anointing to this message, that “someone” might receive the help that they have been in desperate need of, for a very long time. Peace!
