I am pleased to announce the selection of Robert Morgan as our Golf Course Superintendent. Bob has an outstanding track record and a love for bent grass greens. He is a native of Tennessee, married his Tennessee sweetheart, and raised a daughter who is on her own at twenty four years old. Currently, he and Jason Kubel of HGG are overseeing agronomic directives until Bob’s official start date on November 18. Bob’s extensive experience includes turf management at the following properties: The Bay Point Golf Resort & Spa in Panama City Beach, Florida; Atlanta National Golf Club in Alpharetta, Georgia; White Columns Country Club in Milton, Georgia; and Richland Country Club in Nashville, Tennessee. TDC will especially benefit from Bob’s five year experience as Construction Superintendent for Course Crafters in Gainesville, Georgia. Upon Bob’s arrival, the Club will launch “Superintendent’s Morning Coffee Chats” and “Afternoon Bob Talks”. Bob is personable, knowledgeable, and passionate about growing grass. He will act on a solid agronomic plan keeping the Membership well informed and consistently educating our crew. This week’s golf course accomplishments include:  Greens lightly verti-cut, top-dressed, spot seeded with 007, rolled twice weekly, and hand water twice daily  Tees fertilized, greens sprayed with liquid fertilizer  Cart path and bunkers edged  Irrigation leaks repaired on #12, #9, #2, #5, and #7  Tee yardage markers edged  Grass mowed and mowed and mowed  Preparation of all leaf removal equipment  Organization of maintenance facility and fertilizer storage unit. All greens will be open for daily play beginning Friday, October 27.

Over the next two weeks, your PGA Professional Staff (Tyler, Kristina, or myself) will be offering complimentary mini-lessons on the Driving Range. During these mini lessons, you will have the opportunity to ask questions, request advice, and get help with your full swing to short game.
