Το έργο είναι ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα εν δυνάμει ΣΔΙΤ στην Ελλάδα, με κατεύθυνση την τουριστική ανάπτυξη και τον πολιτισμό. Αναφέρεται δε στο όραμα του Άγγελου Σικελιανού και της συζύγου του Εύας Πάλμερ-Σικελιανού για τη Δελφική Ιδέα. Με τη δημιουργία ενός ευρωπαϊκού και παγκόσμιου πνευματικού κέντρου στους Δελφούς, περιλαμβάνει Πανεπιστήμιο, Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών, Πάρκο Τέχνης, Γνώσης, Κέντρο Καινοτομίας-Τεχνολογίας, Πλανητάριο, Τουριστικά Χωριά, Κέντρο Τουρισμού Υγείας, Πάρκα λιμνών κ.λπ. , τα οποία παρουσιάζονται στο τεύχος της αναλυτικής μελέτης (www.bim-cad/info/mentor). Σχεδιάστηκε από το αρχιτεκτονικό γραφείο Giamakos Architects για λογαριασμό της Mentor S.A. και αφορά στη Β’ φάση του έργου (Master Plan), την ανάλυση και το σχέδιο γενικής διάταξης της περιοχής, το διερευνητικό αρχιτεκτονικό σχεδιασμό και την προβολή της επένδυσης, ως φαίνεται στο Γενικό Πολεοδομικό Σχέδιο της Δεσφίνας που δημοσιεύτηκε στο ΦΕΚ 483/31-12-2013. Εμπνευστές (2002) για την υλοποίηση του Πολυθεματικού Πάρκου Δεσφίνας στους Δελφούς είναι ο Σοφοκλής και η Ουρανία Διακογιάννη, βασικοί μέτοχοι της Mentor S.A. Το δυναμικό του Πάρκου αναφέρεται σε φιλοξενία 10.000 επισκεπτών, ενώ υπάρχει μέριμνα για εκδηλώσεις 25.000 ατόμων. Οι ενότητες αναπτύσσονται γύρω από μια τεχνητή λίμνη σε μια συστοιχία λόφων που την περιβάλλουν. Ακολουθεί το Γενικό Πολεοδομικό Σχέδιο, διερευνά μια ευρύτερη περιοχή 4.000 στρεμμάτων και τη δυνατότητα σύνδεσης του Πάρκου με τον πολεοδομικό ιστό της Δεσφίνας. HARMONY HILLS MuLtI-tHeMed pARk “deSpHINAS” IN deLpHI
The Desfina Multipurpose Park is one of the largest public-private partnerships in Greece in the field of touristic and cultural development. It is based on an idea of Angelos Sikelianos and his wife Eva Palmer-Sikelianou who envisioned the creation of an international cultural center at Delphi, the location of the most famous spiritual center in classical antiquity and the “navel of the world” according to the ancient Greeks. The project includes a University, a School of Fine Arts, an Art and Knowledge Park, a Technology and Innovation Center, a Planetarium, a Health Center for tourists, residential areas, as well as extensive parks and a lakes. The present study (www.bim-cad. info/mentor) was developed by the office of “Giamakos Architects” (www. giamakos-architects.com) on behalf of Mentor S.A., and relates to the second phase of the project (Master Plan). It includes general design and area layout, exploratory architectural modeling, and investment estimates in accordance to the officially approved Urban Plan of Desfina (published in the Government Gazette FEK 483 / 31-12-2013). The project for the construction of the Desfina Multipurpose Park at Delphi started in 2003 as the brainchild of Sophocles and Ourania Diaconiannis, key shareholders of Mentor S.A. The park will have the potential of accommodating up to ten thousand visitors and host events for up to twenty-five thousand spectators. The structures will grow harmonically around an artificial lake located in a hilly countryside close to the famous archaeological site.
