THE people of Blackpool brought their campaign to save their village post office to the city centre today. Bus loads of concerned residents and traders gathered outside Cork’s GPO from mid-morning to protest over the proposed relocation of the post office to the nearby shopping centre — a move they say will “tear

fears with passers-by who stopped to listen. A petition was handed into the GPO but An Post insists there will not be a U- turn made on the move which is planned to go ahead on February 11.
