GENERAL MANAGER REQUIRED

An immediate opening for a GENERAL MANAGER in a luxury Providenciales property has become available OVERVIEW: Responsible for management of overall operation of the resort including maintaining asset, managing guest experience and optimizing profitability by direct and indirect supervision of hotel employees and implementing strategic plans. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1.Develop and implement effective and productive strategic planning and policy. 2.Direct and monitor all daily operations of the resort. 3.Directly supervise, develop, maintain and support individual performance and group dynamics of all executive committee members and be well versed in all of their disciplines (Human Resources, Facilities, Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing, Resort Operations, Rooms Division, Food and Beverage, Finance). 4.Indirectly supervise all department heads. 5.Work with all key stakeholders including resort owners, brand, villa owners, travel partners, and Government. 6.Optimize profitability and balance that with optimizing service excellence through the aforementioned plans and policies created and managed daily. 7.Indirectly supervise all department heads and review and evaluate their performance on an on-going basis. 8.Develop individual goals and projects for subordinate employees, give ongoing support and training. 9.Monitor hotel renovation projects. 10.Charged with building and recruiting top talent from TCI and abroad with a focus on growing TCI talent pool and developing them to higher levels within the organization. 11.Respond in courteous, professional and prompt manner in order to resolve all guest and staff difficulties. 12.Responsible for employee compliance with resort policies and procedures. Initiate disciplinary action when appropriate. 13.Supervise, direct, coordinate, influence and persuade staff in order to

WORK PERMIT ADVERTISEMENT REQUIREMENT The Ministry of Border Control and Employment is reminding employers, as well as the general public, that the Immigration Ordinance 2015 which was brought into force on April 1, 2016 established new conditions for advertising jobs which must be met when recruiting new staff or seeking a work permit renewal. For clarity, Section 28 (2) of the Immigration Ordinance states the following. The advertisement condition is satisfied if the employer has advertised the position in at least two consecutive issues of a newspaper published in and sold or distributed on the Islands and the advertisement— (a) describes the nature of the position available in sufficient detail to enable persons reading the advertisement to have a reasonable indication of the nature of the work and conditions of employment; (b) contains the name of the employer and details of the whereabouts of the office or other place to which the application is to be submitted together with contact details, including telephone and fax numbers and an email address; (c) sets out clearly the salary package relating to the position; (d) invites prospective applicants who are Islanders to send copies of their applications to the Board; and (e ) state whether the position is currently held by a work permit holder. maintain service standards of hotel. 14.Be able to build a budget with finance and present to ownership along with capital plans. 15.Perform community outreach and organize such efforts on a large scale. 16.Write reports and comprehensive plans for owners and brand on wide variety of topics. 17.Read and use data from STR and Revinate to adjust strategy accordingly. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1.A minimum of 15 years of hotel/resort experience with at least 10 on the Executive Level and at least 10 in ultra-luxury, ideally some time with Aman. 2.Experience as a resort executive in multiple countries and continents. 3.Ability to train, motivate, evaluate, mentor and guide employees and managers to meet desired results. 4.Ability to maintain excellent relations with staff. 5.Knowledge of pricing and marketing strategies. 6.Must have strong network within the hotel travel agent realm, having attended the International Luxury Travel Market trade shows and consortia trade shows multiple times in the US and Europe. 7.Exceptional oral communication skills to ensure ability to negotiate and persuade guests and staff to achieve results beneficial to operation of resort. 8. Ability to create, implement and monitor resort and staff goals, strategies and policies, as well as lead all departmental and resort wide meetings 9. Ability to converse calmly with irate guests, superiors and subordinates in sometimes intense emotional situations, work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines 10.Essential to be able to operate resort software systems including Opera and Micros and be proficient in reading industry reports including STR and Revinate. WORK HOURS AND REMUNERATION: Employee will be required to work day and evening shifts, both weekdays and weekends as required along with public holidays, including Festive. Salary for this position is $210K per annum, and will be commensurate with the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience.
