We offer our deepest thanks to all those on the front lines in health care - physicians, nurses, technicians, and all those involved in either direct or indirect patient care; to first responders, and our local essential businesses that have remained open to provide us with food, household supplies, postal and banking needs, and gas for our cars. We thank you and pray God’s blessings and protection be upon you. In light of the COVID 19 public health crisis, let us pray to St. Raphael the Archangel: … Because you are the “medicine of God” we humbly pray you to calm our fears and anxieties of the Coronavirus, grant healing to those suffering its infirmity and protection and strength to those in the medical professions offering care to those so afflicted. May we trust in the Lord, who is our Shepherd, as we walk through this ‘valley / time of ‘darkness.’ May we be anointed in the Spirit’s love and ask that you always direct us in the way of peace, safety, and salvation. Amen. Where can the weak find a place of firm security and peace, except in the wounds of the Savior? Indeed, the more secure is my place there, the more he can do to help me. The world rages, the flesh is heavy, and the devil lays his snares; but I do not fall, for my feet are planted on firm rock. - St. Bernard of Clairvaux
