Effortless Style

Founders and childhood friends, Marcus Fairfax Fountaine and Felix Favor Parker, combined their middle names to launch their very own footwear brand. Inspired to offer a fresh take on ‘country chic’, the duo set about developing their first shoe design in the spring of 2012.

Fairfax & Favor was born from a passion for creating the highest quality and fit-for-performance footwear for rural life with a stylish design, setting it apart from all other boot and shoe brands for those living the country lifestyle. Though Fairfax & Favor celebrate rural heritage in everything they produce, over the last few years the brand’s collections have grown to include a range of versatile footwear that can be worn far beyond the yard, comfortably finding a home in the wardrobes of townsfolk too. Fairfax & Favor doesn’t follow the trends, instead they opt to create timeless classics, with each quality piece destined to work hard, suiting the lifestyle of their ever-loyal customer.

The brand celebrates British culture and heritage, with equestrian influences weaving through designs. Fairfax & Favor’s signature style brings together practicality, comfort and style combined with design features including the renowned interchangeable tassel – a firm favourite with their customer. The brand’s core ladies boot range also offers three calf fittings: Narrow, Standard and Sporting, and are available in sizes UK 3-9.

"To celebrate their milestone 10-year anniversary, Marcus and Felix will be launching a limited-edition range of products featuring new colourways of their much-loved signature pieces including the Regina and Alexandra Trainer."

Alongside the limited-edition 10-year anniversary collection, Fairfax & Favor’s SS23 collection is bursting with colour - with shades of orange, blue, and sailor stripes, fused with new textures including raffia and ribbon. While remaining synonymous with the brands signature style, with many popular pieces getting a seasonal makeover and a variety of new footwear and bag designs landing too, the new collection brings a lively injection of colour to the rural vogue of the British countryside.

The needs and desires of Fairfax & Favor’s loyal customer base have been – and always will be – the driving force behind this ambitious brand’s ever-evolving collections. The brand works with a young and dynamic team, constantly exploring new avenues and ways of engaging with customers. The team are empowered to take informed risks and use their initiative to drive the brand forward –rewriting the rulebook to deliver a great British brand with a global appeal.

Each piece in the collection is designed and developed in the heart of the Norfolk countryside to live forever in the wardrobes of their customer.

MEET THE TEAM...

Zoe is the mothership to the team, the marketer and creator of the highly reputable brand that has been established now for several years. Her untiring passion, staunch loyalty to both the team and clients alike, combined with determination to be leaders in their bespoke brand marketing allows The Zoe Napier Group to stand alone in the sale of all properties that are ‘Reassuringly Unique’.

Zoe’s drive often sees her creating the next marketing ideas during the very early hours of the morning and where most people put the kettle on during commercial breaks, Zoe studies every idea to see how straplines can creatively adapt, develop and grow The Zoe Napier Group – now with four niche brands for Country & Equestrian, Coastal & Waterside, Barns & Unique Conversions, and New & Luxury Homes.

Zoe has a true passion for the outdoors and countryside, enjoying her own ‘piece of heaven’ at home with over a dozen di erent species of animals!

At the beginning of 2020, Sharon Adams accepted her much deserved new role as Director of Zoe Napier & Associates (trading as Zoe Napier Group) who she has been with from the Company’s beginnings over a decade ago.

Sharon has worked alongside Zoe Napier for some 15 years now, having been in estate agency for over 20 years. Sharon is the backbone to the Company, steering the helm in all the important nancial and administrational sectors, whilst loving the role of sales progressing. Sharon is very well respected by professionals in the industry, working with solicitors in a methodical, yet practical way, nding solutions to often complex sales and seeing our sales through to a successful completion.

Sharon in her spare time is a much-loved Mum to two adult children Jamie and Ceri, wife to Tony and a nanny to Harrison. She is an avid football supporter in both local league and dare we say, her dream team, Spurs! Sharon also enjoys golf and is just one of life’s good people.

Sharon was brilliant from the start, nothing was any trouble and she kept on top of the sale.
Zoe, like many of her properties, truly lives up to the term ‘unique’ with a zero pressure sales technique coupled with thoughtful, constructive advice.

James can only be described as a ‘Bright Star’ within our team at the Zoe Napier Group, having been an estate agent since 2015. He radiates enthusiasm and has a very relaxed, yet progressive and likeable approach, which is appreciated amongst our customers and clients alike.

In fact, if James was a stick of rock it would have ‘passion for property’ written right through it. His dedication to learning and progressing extends to him currently undertaking a 5 year home study course in order to achieve a degree in property estate management. He is equally excited about taking all the required quali cations to climb the ladder in agency.

James’ commitment and personal drive is also proven in his private life - from being in TEAM GB for Basketball (under 18’s) to becoming a Pro basketball player in Spain for 2 years. James’ love of sport extends to football where he holds a season ticket at White Hart Lane.

Lisa joined our team in 2015 and what a profound and instrumental di erence she has made in helping with our growth. Lisa’s background is marketing where her career before children landed her a marketing manager’s role for Walt Disney – no mean feat to have that position (and keep it!).

We consider ourselves lucky enough to have Lisa’s talents and organisational skills now with The Zoe Napier Group and her life experiences make her equally empathetic to all our customers. Her ‘can do’ dependable enthusiasm, tender nature and eye for detail allows Lisa to be a natural in the property industry.

Lisa’s picture tells her own story in her understanding as to how personal the buying and selling process is. Lisa is the keen horticulturist amongst us, whilst also being the one who spots a good bargain at antique auctions!

Picture Perfect

Paintings of Quiet Corners with contemporary landscape artist John McKinstry.

Ask John the question what inspires him to paint? the answer is simple “I paint images of where I would like to be”

Ask him ‘where is that painting of?’ the answer is “wherever you would like it to be?”

In John’s early days of painting, he was always very much inspired by artists such as Michael Morgan and G John Blockley. These artists painted remote hillsides dotted with farms and cottages, earthy textured landscapes you can almost touch that seem to capture a sense of feeling for the landscape and it was these images that immediately instilled a feeling in John he knew he had to try and replicate with his own paintings

John has spent the best part a long, enjoyable career in various forms of Horticulture, working in diverse parts of the country and this has definitely been a major source of inspiration for his paintings over the years.

From the gentle rural fields of the home counties, the Sussex downs and Wealds to Cornish harbours and dramatic southwest moorlands, all landscapes which have helped shape and inspire his work giving

him the opportunity now to do something he can’t imagine not doing.

Although John has received no formal artistic training, he spent many years dabbling in watercolour, a medium he never felt completely at home with, and it was not until he made the switch to Acrylic paint that he immediately felt a connection with his paintings which up to then he had felt was missing. It is a medium he finds is forgiving, textural and ideally suited to his style allowing him to create his soft gentle skies and vibrant textured foregrounds. Over the years Johns paintings may have changed but the constants that inspired him as a young artist still run through his artwork today. His paintings give off a feeling of calm and quietness which is exactly what he wants to feel when painting them and is one of the elements that is often commented on.

Why the cottages? Over the years these have become more of a feature in his paintings hinting at the human connection in the landscape but never detracting from it and have definitely become a bit of an obsession for him “I love the idea of coming home to a quiet peaceful little corner tucked away in the landscape” and I think a lot of his collectors would agree with him.

John first started exhibiting locally in Cornwall before having the opportunity to show his paintings to a larger audience in a large Glasgow based gallery and it was during this time his art was spotted by one of the UK’s leading Art publishers and distributors of original artwork. It was this that allowed John to finally realise his dream of becoming a full-time artist supplying high end galleries across the UK and internationally. Nine years later and with over 800 paintings sold, he now has a large number of collectors both in the UK and Internationally.

After receiving so much positive feedback from the public with many requests to deal directly with him, in September 2022, John of this year John made the leap and became an independent artist, giving him a more flexible lifestyle and a more hands-on approach with the collectors of his art. His work is now available directly from his website as well as few handpicked Galleries.

Tucked away in one of Cornwall’s many quiet riverside hamlets very much like the ones found on his canvases, John’s cottage studio is the ideal location for an artist with a love for all things peaceful, a passion for painting quiet corners and is an integral part of his dayto-day painting.

John still can’t believe that his love of painting these tranquil landscapes has enabled him to become a full-time artist, and to be able to do something he is so passionate about daily is so extraordinary that even after nine years he says he still has to pinch himself some mornings settling down to a day’s painting!

Tempting TONES

Jo Malone London invites you to rediscover the world of Cologne Intense.

The ingredients that go into the fragrances are often rich and rare, so this is reflected in the new bottle design, which makes use of deep, warm colours that call to mind precious stones and jewels.” Wandjina, Global Head of Creative

A collection of alluring, powerful scents inspired by faraway lands, captivating rituals and treasured ingredients. A spirit of discovery ignites the mysterious and sensual world of our most luxurious scented franchise.

As we head into the new year, the collection has been updated for 2023 with brand new coloured bottle designs for both 50ml and 100ml cologne bottles.

The collection looks to the rich and rare as the starting point for nine distinctive fragrances. Whilst most Jo Malone London scents find inspiration in British landscapes, traditions and ingredients, Cologne Intense allows us to find inspiration from further afield. Cologne Intense fragrances offer warmth, depth and volume, but still retain the signature clarity and naturality that Jo Malone London is known for.

Left: Velvet Rose & Oud

Celebrating the eternal beauty and versatility of a revered flower. The iconic floralcy of Damask rose wrapped in the smoky depths of oud, sparked with clove and a delicious taste of praline. Magnetic and decadent.

Top Left: Cypress & Grapevine

A verdant hanging garden dressed with expansive terraces and noble arches. Statuesque cypress trees infuse the air with freshness, powered by intertwining grapevines, grounded with depths of amber.

Top Right : Dark Amber & Ginger Lily

A magnetic trail of incense rising during a sacred ritual. Illuminated by the clean sensuality of black cardamom and fresh lily, enriched with amber. Dark and distinctive.
